I finished it a couple of days ago. I thought it was pretty good and I really loved Steve and Dustin together. I'm still really confused though. Like, the upside down is trying to take over the real world? Where did those dog things come from? Why was the lab trying to open a portal thingy? It is trying to take over. Eleven opened the portal when they were experimenting on/with her. The demadogs are from the Upside Down and are controlled by the sentient being from the Upside Down.

IIRC, they accidentally opened the portal when they were using Eleven to spy on people.

AHH, ok. Much thanks. I forgot it was an accident. I thought they opened it on purpose.

I will be the odd woman out and say I liked episode 7 lol. I feel like Kali was the key to teaching El how to channel her anger to make her power stronger. Without that, she never would've been able to close the gate. I also can see Kali coming back in Season 3, and possibly even more kids with tatooed numbers on their wrists. IDK, maybe not, but that side storyline holds interest for me.
Poor Bob man.
I hope mama comes back and can start talking. Doubtful though. I also love the Hopper/El dynamic, and I also want Hopper and Joyce to just do it already.
That rapping Millie video just gave me LYFE.
I had never seen season 1, and I literally just watched both seasons in about a span of a week. Love this series so hard!

I just had to skip to the end of the thread because I only finished season 1 last night and then watched episode 1 of season 2. Because I was really not emotionally ready for the end of season 1.
Just wanted to say I'm all in on this show now.

I’m on episode 2. I love Hopper but my goodness do I stress about his lung health.

Episode 4. I’m really worried about Will.

Does Joyce ever remember she has two kids? How long has Johnathan been gone for now?

Episode 7 I do not like this. I’m not loving the crime for crimes sake. And I really really hated that those two little girls were home during that Home invasion. I’m glad El showed mercy.
Jane and her sister sure were cute kids though.

Does Joyce ever remember she has two kids? How long has Johnathan been gone for now? I feel like this show does a really good job portraying the laissez-faire attitude toward parenting that existed in the 80s and 90s. My parents never knew where I was, heh. It wouldn't have taken them days to notice I was gone, though, obviously.

Hey joyce one of your kids was abducted once so...

Add in what happened to Will, and it's understandable she is so focused on Will. She looks at Jonathan more her equal than kid who neeeds minding.

H is all salty with me that I finished the series when he fell asleep. Now he's refusing to finish watching it even though I told him I wanted to watch it again with him. He's being such a season 1 Steve.

We finished last night. So good! I love good guy Steve. Poor Bob! The Snow Ball was such a great ending, I was grinning.

I just watched Seasons 1 & 2 over the past week. Spoilers obviously, but I imagine anyone who wanders in at this point knows.
I am having so much nostalgia and flashbacks! The scene with Dragon’s Lair was almost trippy because that memory was buried so far back, and my brothers were OBSESSED with D&D 😂.
I love Steve. I never thought he was a dick in S1. He was rightfully pissed and being protective with the photos of Nancy situation, and I wondered why the hell she was being so nonchalant about it. How incredibly violating! Maybe it’s because I just came off of watching 13 Reasons Why. But nope, I still feel that way.And I feel like he was pissed and/or peer pressured with the graffiti and showed remorse immediately. Maybe since I watched all the episodes quickly I never had a chance to think he was a dick, but rather the opposite. He’s pretty much my favorite character. At the end of S2 when he was getting his ass kicked again and poor Will was getting ‘cleansed’ I was like these guys need to catch a break.
A couple plot holes for me (blood being able to call the demogorgan in S1- like no one else in town injured themselves? No women have their period? There’s no hospital in town?) and S2 how the demodogs only harassed the lab and the gang? But I get it. At the end of S2 I realized its going to basically be Sunnydale.
The sister spin is for sure to bring her and possibly others into future seasons.
I love it! I really need to start jumping into these Netflix series when they come out, they really are good!

I also love that Winona is back, she is such a good actress. I’m glad Sean was in it, it was fun to see him, and happy he wasn’t evil.

I just finished watching yesterday. I didn’t really love the season as much as most others seem to. But it also took me three weeks to watch it, so maybe a better flow would’ve made me feel differently. I did feel like a lot of the episodes were pretty predictable, maybe because it’s season two and I know mostly what to expect.
I loved Steve and Bob. I also like that there was much better character development this season. I liked the Snowball dance and that Jane got a birth certificate.
I didn’t love the storyline with Max’s family. Unless that’s something that’s going to become a focus the next season I feel like they spent way too much time on her brother being a dick and then introducing us to the parents who were barely around.
I also didn’t care for episode seven. I get why they did it for El’s character, and I’m sure that we will see her sister and likely some of the other children next season. But devoting an entire episode to that was a bit much.
Overall, still really enjoy the series and I’m looking forward to season three!

Any guesses on what will happen in season 3? Will they leave Hawkins? Will Dustin play a bigger part since he got sprayed in the mouth in the upside down? Will we learn more about Hopper's daughter? Will Steve find happiness?

Will Steve find happiness? I read that Stranger Things is only meant to be four seasons because after that “you will be asking why are these people still in Hawkins?” So.. my guess is there are still there.

That makes sense. I was curious if El would go looking for Kali and take everyone with her.
