Suggestions on how to deal with anxiety re: pregnancy? I'm having nearly overwhelming feelings that something is wrong and the baby stopped growing. I have 4 weeks until my next appointment. I'm on prozac already for depression and anxiety. I know that statistically, we're probably fine since we saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks. But I just get so mad at my husband when he tells me everything is fine, because we don't know that everything is fine.
Sorry about the word vomit. Its hard because I want reassurance, but not empty platitudes, if that makes any sense.
Would you call the OB? I mean, there's nothing they could do except another ultrasound that insurance wouldn't cover since its still too early for a doppler I think.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I think it’s normal to be anxious and unsure about the status of your pregnancy, especially this early in the game before you can feel movement. I don’t think there’s anything I can say that make those thoughts go away, just know that you’re not alone, and it does get (a bit) better once you can feel movement. Hugs.

Hugs fatpony, anxiety is such a bitch. I would try taking to your OB. If they won't then you could see about going to a local Planed Parenthood for a scan.

fatpony how far along are you? Is your next ultrasound the NT scan? If so, could you move that up to right when you hit 11 weeks? I know it’s still a while, but you could get reassurance earlier. Also, hugs. Pregnancy is totally anxiety ridden and a huge mindfuck. I just had an ultrasound, I’m days away from 2nd tri, I know we’re doing good at this point, and I’m STILL waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hugs for you.

When I'm anxious I look for statistics like the ones you shared. I also focus on the symptoms I have that make me feel gross. If you don't have those, please enjoy your unicorn pregnancy 😉 I read somewhere that after seeing/hearing a heartbeat that you have a bless than 3% chance of miscarriage. This is the website I look at most. datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

((hugs)) It can be tough when you don't know what's going on in there. I checked a website like you've posted every day with my last pregnancy just to see the number go down slightly, it was crazy but it helped me. If you're struggling I'd put in a call to your doc - that's what they're there for.

How do you feel about guided meditation/relaxation? My psychologist recommended an app called Insight Timer. It's got a whole bunch of different uploaded meditations, and I swear they really work!

Hugs, fatpony. I can only say that it’s completely normal, and that it never goes away haha. Not sure how helpful that is lol. I look at that link above often as well.
