Not as often as I should. There's an library near us that has a really cool indoor little village for toddlers and I keep saying we should go more often, but haven't made it there since the summer. Maybe now that it is getting colder? I also didn't have my address changed on my license when I went last time and so couldn't sign up for a card (needed proof of address).

I do not. I'm afraid of taking my child in such a quiet place.

Not currently. We went once, a year ago. DS is really just way too loud right now. But our library is nice and has a lot of events for kids who are able to sit and listen to a storyteller or puppet show or whatever... I think in about 6 months or a year it could be a really nice weekend activity for DS.

All the time. We live two blocks away. They have storytime on Tuesday nights from 7-8, which A always takes H to. Eventually he'll take both kids (it's age 3+). They're actually open until 9 on Tuesdays and Thursdays which allows me to go after the kids go to bed, when A is home.
Toy time on Wednesday mornings. And several weekend activities which is great since A works Saturdays.
And we just go there a lot to let the kids pick out books and play. They're both over destroying books, so I can let them.

We just started. They have a Monday 0-3 free play from 10-1115 and Wednesday is story time from 1030-1130.

I do not. I'm afraid of taking my child in such a quiet place. I dunno if it's the same by you. But our kids areas of libraries are now like play places with books. Ok a little tamer. But no quiet voices. Was not like that growing up. Train tables. Puzzles. Ride on toys.

Frequently. Our library has a great playground though the children's area inside is only ok. The adjoining towns is better. I haven't been to yours ovenrack. Today I went to the one in the town past yours that starts with H and it's was nice and had a whole play house. I never buy grownup books. Always library.

We used to go a lot. They have story time play groups for different age groups. But they got rid of a ton of toys so it's not very toddler friendly anymore. They're trying to cater more to school aged kids.

Religiously! We are there at least once a week, maybe more. We were doing story time consistently, but that fell by the wayside a bit recently. But I love libraries myself, so even when I didn't gave kids I went a lot. Now with story time and my kids love of books and the toys... We love it!

I don't. My husband does though quite often. Haven't taken the kids yet.

Every Monday. Ours has a whole separated wing with separate entrance for the children's library, so kids can make all the noise. It is split into a little kids and big kids area and the little kids area has train tables, a doll house, stuffed toys and more. C is at a running around stage now, so I have to make sure to keep her away from the big kids stuff (like legos), but we're usually there for 1-1.5 hours at a time (and we check out 8 books with each visit).

C and I finally went and got a library card at ours when DH was on a trip with the other kids last spring. I had lived here 7 years and hadn't gone, haven't been since. I don't know why I haven't made it there more often.

We go every week. They have story time for different ages on different days each week and a music class for $5 twice a week. We also have a play area with toys. Right now we go to the 2-3 yo story time but I'll probably start taking t to the baby story time when he's 6m or so.

I am a librarian, not necessarily a children's, but we frequent the one I work at at least twice a week.
I actually work at both a public and academic. Neither is a "quiet" library and I imagine that most are more lenient about toddler noises than you actually thing. Just FYI.
I also LOVE getting a new stack of books every week and not having to read the same damn books all the time.
*our library disinfects every book that comes in with at least a wipe if not more, depending on stickiness.

I would love to use the library more for my own reading, but I currently average about 2-3 books per year. 😞 for pleasure, anyway. I used to go through so many books, but the last few years it’s a battle to get through one.

I used to go through so many books, but the last few years it’s a battle to get through one. I have found that e-books on my phone are the only way I can read. Overdrive (and Libby and Enki) through the library has been my book savior. My kids will try to steal my tablet or sit on top of a paper book, but they ignore my phone! I also listen to audio books when I walk and sometimes in the car. My goal was 52 books this year, I have managed 70 and have two months to go. I know it won't work for everyone, but I only read 5 last year, so it's a huge improvement.

Not really. Although, we did just go last week and R got a bunch of easy reader chapter books for us to read to her. The kids section is in a back corner, but it's not separated from the non-children's area, so it's still pretty quiet. And I always found any of the story times to be overwhelming.
