Put your opinions and confessions here... things that would shock and appall the rest of us.

I let the old man at the gym next to me spend his entire workout watching Sesame Street Bc he didn't know how to change the channel. I could have and should have helped him change it. But I didn't.

Oh! Here's a good confession.
My cousin just filed for divorce. And while the majority of me knows that she is doing the right thing to take care of herself and her kids, a tiny bit of me is disappointed that they couldn't make it work.
Her STBXH and mh get along really well and our kids are close in ages and it was just convenient. Mh and I don't have a lot of couple friends that we really like both of. I'm so selfish.

I'm letting my kids have free range with the candy they got at our downtown trick or treat last night.

J and I totally judged a family at the table next to us last night at On the Border. They had 4 kids, ages baby to maybe 10 or 11, and every kid except for the baby had a phone or ipad and was watching videos. Like the entire time. I get pacifying your toddler with a video for a little while because they're a nightmare in public places, but I can't help but side-eye people who let their 8 and 10 year olds watch movies while they're at a restaurant. Maybe they were having a rough week and needed a quiet dinner out? Or maybe not.

I really don't limit what Nugget eats as far as sweets. She's allowed to have treats on a daily basis. But, she eats a really good variety of food and is just as likely to ask for peas or carrots or cheese or a pickle as a snack as she is to ask for a cookie.

I'm actually somewhat relieved that S currently isn't in speech therapy at the med center and just in early intervention with speech services. I think all of it would overwhelm her and (even though it's only been one day) an educational setting is more beneficial than a purely clinical.

Yesterday afternoon O was complaining of the same earache/fever that C had earlier in the week. I didn't tell DH, I just gave him motrin and he acted fine the rest of the evening. I probably should have kept him home from school, but today he had his class party and C was getting an award at her school this morning and DH and I had planned to go to that. So I gave him more motrin and sent him to school - he's only there for 2 1/2 hours anyway.

Along those lines, a friend of mine is getting married soon. She had some reservations about the guy a while back where I thought that they were going to split up, so I wonder a bit about the longevity of the relationship. But DH and I really like the guy, so we're happy that he's going to be sticking around.

M doesn't like chocolate (except M&Ms apparently), so I regularly tell her that the treat that I bought for myself at the store was chocolate, just so I don't have to share.

I've worn the same tank top, to work, under a different sweater 3 days in a row.

I've worn the same cardigan for almost a week. I really need to get more cardigans. Have occasionally slept in a tank, put a bra on under it and a cardigan over and gone to work that way. I rewear pants all the time.

Cardigans. We confess about cardigans. I was worried that just wearing a cardigan may have been a confession Someone on my BMBs asked if anyone had brand recommendations for those shirt-collars that go under a sweater to imply that you're wearing a collared shirt underneath but really it's like a bib. She's, like, 35. I told her that I hadn't seen anyone wear one since my grandmother, ten+ years ago.

When I was doing homecare, I had a lady who had a bunch of those except like turtleneck style. It took me a while to figure out what they were, and then I thought they were genius. I was like 23 lol

MH brought home cupcakes from his going away party. He split his with J. There was one left. I told J I didn’t want it right then so that I could save it and eat it by myself. I don’t share food.

So yesterday evening while I was outside feeding the animals, and the kids were supposedly watching a movie, O was jumping around in the recliner (how many times have I told the child not to?) and fell off and cut his head on the step into the living room. It earned him a CT scan and 2 staples. Is it horrible if we still leave the step as-is even though two children have recieved head wounds from it in the last 3 months? We could put one of those rubber bumper things on it, but I'm afraid that would catch your toe as you are going up and down the step. Gah, I hate that step so much and I tried so hard to convince DH that sunken living rooms were no longer a thing and we should fill it in to be level, but he refused.

I don’t know if it’s developmentally appropriate that H can’t open candy wrappers or use a remote/phone/tablet, but I really really love it.

I despise the comment "he/she is getting SO BIG" when seeing kids or viewing photos on line.
Yes, kids grow. Fact.
