Anyone else in the weeds with Halloween crafts/costumes? I've got two nights and a partial day to make ears and tails for our zootopia fox and bunny costumes, and a utility belt and modify a tank top to make a body armor vest for myself. and possibly make a giant red popsicle for Nugget to wear with her elephant suit. We're doing something similar to this: without the wigs. Oh, and a friend commissioned me to make her a Liz the Lizard felt plushie for her Ms Frizzle costume.

I got up to work on LO's in the wee hours of the morning the other day. One dog slept on the fabric while I was trying to pin pieces together so I transferred her to the pile of scrap pieces. LO was sleepwalking then came to look for me, so he ended up going back to sleep in my office/craft room even while I was sewing. I finally got annoyed enough with the sewing machine's access door for where the bobbin goes to decide to fix it (it would fall open if the front piece was off, like when you remove it to sew arms and legs and such). It turned out to be a productive morning though, and I finished the parts I hadn't finished the day before (despite LO repeatedly telling me to get back to work - lol). I just need to attach the details yet, but they are pretty much ready to be attached. I am hoping to finish those today.

Finished out Halloween costumes in time for the party on Saturday! I also made tails and a utility belt for myself, which you can’t see in the photo. Nugget’s costume is store-bought. So excited to take her ToTing tonight!

Here is my kiddos’ costumes , which I finally finished yesterday afternoon. Just in time for trick or treating. They held up fairly well. Except I couldn’t find a good way to get the crow to stick to DD’s staff. DH ended up trying to use a staple gun, which half assed kept it together for 2/3rd of our trick or treating
