It's been a while since I've asked a ton of questions. I think we are getting the hang of this thing! But I do have a few so here they come.
1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent?
2. How long does your lo nap for?
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet?
4. What does your lo like to play with?
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas?
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer???
7. How long do you so tummy time each day?
8. Do you wear your baby? How often?
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear?
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle?

1.. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? J sleeps for a 4 or 5 hour stretch, wakes up to eat, then another 2 hours usually. This has been the last 10 days. Prior to fhat we had a week strrtch ljke this then regressws for 4 days.
2. How long does your lo nap for? Anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours . He takes 5 or 6 naps a day.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? I haven't but I keep feeling like its coming.br]
4. What does your lo like to play with? He likes his piano gym and a rattle right now.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? I've already started shopping . I bought bowls, spoons, teethers, Freddy firefly, a few sleep sacks.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? I have a bumbo and an exersaucer and can't wait to use them. I hope maybe in a month or so?
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? We do 5 minutes once or twice a day
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? If he is struggling to fall asleep foe a map one of us wears him. So not too often. I do wear him when we go out in public and when I'm cooking sometimes. At most for 2 hours a day.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes and it wakes him up from maps . We still swaddle because of this.
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? I don't know. I have sleep sacks but I'm wondering about Merlin suit.[/quote]

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? I somehow got a miracle sleeper at night.... she’s been sleeping 10:30/11-6ish, eating, then sleeping til 9 or so.
2. How long does your lo nap for? I have no idea. We are running around so much for DS that a lot of days she has to nap in the car seat or carrier. If we’re home she won’t let me put her down to sleep during the day.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? No-I hope it stays away for a long while.
4. What does your lo like to play with? The only thing I’ve pulled out for her so far is the piano play mat. I guess I should see what else I have stashed...
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Diapers, clothes in the next size? I still have everything from DS so she shouldn’t need much else for a little while.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? I have a jumperoo, and a sit me up seat.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? Again, no idea. Being in the carrier counts and she’s in there a lot. But as far as on a blanket or something.. not a lot.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Yep- many times a day. While I am running errands, doing stuff around the house, at DS’ appointments, etc.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Maybe a little bit?
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? I have some sleep sacks and zipadeezip things. We’ll have to see what works.

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? She goes to bed somewhere around 6-7pm and sleeps for 6-8 hours. I’ve tried waking her up to feed her later, but she still seems to wake up around 3-4am. So, I see no benefit in trying to feed her while she’s sleeping.
2. How long does your lo nap for? I don’t track sleep. I’d guess she naps from 30 minutes to 2 hours, but probably averages an hour between feedings. Some of it depends how long she goes before feeding - sometimes it 2 hours, sometimes it’s close to 4.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? Nope.
4. What does your lo like to play with? Nothing.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Maybe an outfit. A book? We didn’t buy much for T for her first Christmas either. She’ll get stuff from family and we don’t really need anything.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? We have the frog sit-me-up and a walker. I read too many PT blogs about how bad baby holders are, so o was Leary about putting T in anything once she could stand. And, we were gifted a used bumbo with T but that thing always looks so uncomfortable.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? We don’t keep track. We randomly set her on her belly. I also pull her to a sitting position using her arms to work on her muscles when I pick her up.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? So far only grocery shopping. Which is what we did with T.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? I think she does.
10. If you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We don’t swaddle, but use sleep sacks. With T we used sleep sacks when she stopped being swaddled (I think). Actually, we might have just had her in sleepers or pajamas - not the sleep sack, too, since the sleep sacks looked pretty unused.

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent?
- We put in his bassinet around 10pm. He falls asleep around 9:30pm. He normally sleeps until 5:30am. I feed him and he sleeps until 730. This past week however has been crappy, he takes forever to be put down and wakes 2-3 times.
2. How long does your lo nap for?
-On a good day - 2 hour nap mid morning, 45 min nap after lunch and 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon. On a bad day, lots of cat naps.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet?
-Yes at 10 weeks ugh...
4. What does your lo like to play with?
- He likes his activity mats and anything that lights up with sound.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas?
-the one definite thing will be the activity castle playpen and a soft mat. Also, scout, some motor skill toys.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer???
-we have all three. Ill probably switch him around from each. DS1 never cared for the bumbo, I'm curious as to what H will like.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day?
-Tummy time varies from a few minute to about 10. We do tummy time st least 10 times a day. I am actually trying do it more. He rolled for the first time yesterday. However, he hates tummy time, while my first loved it.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often?
-Yes. At least once a day,. It easy to clean with him on me if he can't sleep. Also the vacuum puts him to sleep in the sling. I also usually carry him when we are out. He doesn't always care for the stroller.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear?
-Minimal maybe once or twice here or there. I noticed a huge it disappearing @ week 9.
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle?
-We swaddle arms out, but he is getting to big and too long for them. I don't think I am going to buy bigger sizes, I'll probably try an open bottom sleep sack this weekend.

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Usually a 6ish hour stretch to start the night and then up again about 3ish hours later
2. How long does your lo nap for? Totally all over the place. Some days she naps most of the day, most days she sleeps 30 min-1 hour. Today is a 15 min cat nap kind of day (So far).
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? No. But I have some spotting again. I think it's still PP bleeding though as I'm just 8 weeks out
4. What does your lo like to play with? Nothing. She'll lay under the activity gym for a little bit sometimes.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Probably just some clothes in the next size. Maybe a convertible car seat for next spring/summer if there's a good sale. We didn't get DS anything for his first Christmas either.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? We have a different brand bumbo type seat and an exersaucer.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? Probably 15 min in 5 min increments actually on the floor. She hates it. Most of the time I lay back and put her on my chest or wear her. I have no idea how much she gets total, but she has pretty good head control.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Yes. A lot some days, esp if we are going out somewhere. Less when we're at home. She almost always goes to sleep as soon as she's in it.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes sometimes.
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We have sleep sacks from DS for the winter. Come spring, we just put them in footie pjs and it's warm enough.

Good questions!
How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Usually down between 9 and 10. 4 to 6 hour stretch at the beginning of the night and then up every 1.5 to 2 hours after that.
2. How long does your lo nap for? I don't really track it but 1.5 to 2 hour nap later morning and then another long nap at 3 to 4 pm.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? No!! Hoping I don't for awhile.
4. What does your lo like to play with? Nothing really. He likes the curtains in the nursery and he's starting to smile at big brother alot.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? I try to do something to read, something to play with, something to wear. He needs more cold weather clothes.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? We have jumperoo and exersaucer. Ds1 barely tolerated either but I think baby H will like them more (he's more chill)
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? 10 minutes. He's hating it a little less
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Once or twice a day in the ktan. It's a lifesaver bc then I can do laundry or help ds1 with various things.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes. I was noticing him startling during naps just yesterday
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We will use Halo sleep sacks. We used something similar to the zipadeezip for DS1 and I think it contributed to his flat head.

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? I’d say 8 hours average. It’s usually between 7 and 10 hours.
2. How long does your lo nap for? Her first nap is always the longest at about 2.5 hours. Subsequent naps are anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? No, thank god, but I feel like it’s only a matter of time. With DS it came back at about 13 or 14 weeks. I’m 10.5 weeks right now.
4. What does your lo like to play with? Her hands? Nothing really because she can’t grasp anything yet, lol. But she enjoys looking at the things on her playmat and I also have rattles and such that seem to entertain her.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? We’ll most likely just take some of DS’s baby toys and wrap them.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? We have an exersaucer and a portable playpen.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? 10 minutes? I hold her upright 99% of the time I’m carrying her and she’s constantly pushing off and doing her own version of head/neck control exercises. But on her playmat it’s maybe 5-10 minutes a day.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Yes, pretty much every day. I wear her in the morning during her longest nap so I can clean the kitchen, do laundry, eat breakfast, etc. I also wear her a lot when we go out.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes, but it’s definitely starting to disappear.
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? With DS we just made sure he was dressed warmly. Then at around 7-8 months we gave him a crocheted blanket (so plenty of breathing holes).

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Gah used to sleep 9-4 then til 7ish. Now 8ish-midnight, 3, 4 5 ughhh
2. How long does your lo nap for? Another ugh. 30 mins with rare naps going over an hour
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? Nope
4. What does your lo like to play with? Anything dangling, piano gym, bouncer
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? I just bought her a ton of stuff haha. Early gifts?
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? Jumperoo
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? She hates it so like 5 mins I need to get better
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? I have a Moby but wth so complicated. So no
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes but getting better
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We can't swaddle anymore in the halo sleep sack. She fights and gets 1 arm out. So we have the swaddle up and when she weighs enough the Merlin

@starzia I agree about the gifts. Family will get her stuff. I just used gift cards to buy her stuff but she's so little I'll just buy as she needs it.

Great questions king26 and it was interesting to read everybody's answers! I am late as is usual these days 1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Usually she sleeps 5 to 7 hours, wakes up to eat then 1.5h later goes down for another couple of hours. This has been so for the past couple of weeks at least so I would call that consistent? Occasionally her nights suck (like Sun to Mon.. when she slept midnight-2 then was wide awake till 4.30 before sleeping a xple more 2h stretches) and these past 2 nights he slept 8 and 9 hours! Of course my body does not compute and woke up at stupid o'clock anyway... 2. How long does your lo nap for? Nap, what's that?!? Still struggling with daytime naps. She will take cat and powernaps anywhere in between 5-20 minutes at a time here or there usually after nursing while still on or near the boob.. otherwise while on us or in the carrier (sometimes in the stroller cot). It is exhausting .. probably for the both of us! I am trying to get her to nap in her bassinet at least once every afternoon.. results are pending. Today I rocked her for a bit when she gave sleep cues then put her in and she slept for like 40 minutes then was content to just hang out in bed for another 20 minutes orso. I was impressed! 3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? Not yet andI hope it stays away a good while. I spotted for like 8 weeks and it finally stopped late last week but aaargh I had ewcm today so now I wonder whether I am ovulating!? 4. What does your lo like to play with? Us. 😊 She enjoys laying in her playmat but doesn't really plays with or need toys yet. She loves looking around. 5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Ahhh nothing in particular I don't think. I probably will get herr a cute outfit to wear and am thinking about a special ornament maybe. But those are more fir me then for her by eh. Xmas gifts arent really tradition here - we have Sinterklaas who brings gifts in December 5th. My niece and nephew are now old enough to enjoy Sinterklaas so D may get a toy or a book when we celebrate Sinterklaasavond with the family. 6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? Never heard of any of those?? 7. How long do you so tummy time each day? *coughs* hardly at all. She has pretty strong neck muscles though and holds up her head quite well. We carry her around and she lays on top of us and keeps het head up fine. Put her on her tummy though and she will just forget how to hold her head up for some reason. I plan on starting actual tummy time... soon? 8. Do you wear your baby? How often? We do. Some days longer then others depending on how fussy she is. I tried a strap but got so frustrated I impulse bought both a babybjorn as a lodger on the Dutch version of Craigslist. We used the lodger twice maybe but use the bb a lot. It's an original and I know those aren't awesome for baby's hips so we are buying a manduca now that we know she likes being in a carrier. 9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Sometimes, but it is definitely getting less. Still happens on occasion though! Always makes feel guilty when i accidentally startle her. 10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We briefly swaddled when we got out of the hospital but she soon started to dislike it. We use a sleepsack and a thin blanket tucked in on both sides so it can't be pulled.

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Welp it seemed consistent going 11-6 or 7 but hasn’t been sticking to that recently. She typically is waking once to eat but going back down usually fairly easy but sleep is more restless after that first wake up.
2. How long does your lo nap for? This is not consistent. Some days it’s a super long morning nap and shorter afternoon and evening ones but other days it’s short catnaps all day.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? I’m not sure if I had PP bleeding start up again a few weeks ago or if was a period. Really hoping it stays away but have a feeling it won’t stay away as long as the first time (14 months which was amazing!!)
4. What does your lo like to play with? Nothing really yet. She is definitely showing more interest at looking at things and if singing and talking while she smiles counts as playing then there’s that. 😊
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Probably just a couple small items like Christmas pjs, a book, small toy.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? I’m not a fan of the bumbo, they always look squished and uncomfortable in it. Maybe borrow the jumperoo again from family but definitely won’t be buying any of them.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? Eeek not good about this, hardly ever on the floor but on my chest a lot and she is doing well holding her head up while I sit her up or pushing off me. She seems strong.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Yes, sometimes around the house but mostly when we are out and about at places like park, stores, zoo, etc.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes a little but it has lessened.
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? Don’t swaddle but do cover her with a blanket tucked in while in the RnP. Will probably use sleep sacks once in the crib.

I got some more questions!
- What do you do when baby let's out some cries motn but doesn't seem to really be awake. Not talking whimpering but real individual cries.. though maybe that is wimpering if she isn't actually awake?
- what are the criteria for pumping motn if baby STTN but you wake up with sore and leaky boobs one night unexpectedly? This hadnt happened in days/weeks. Did she not drink enough or is my supply going up suddenly or what?
- Do you always check diaper during motn feeds? D. hasn't had a wet diaper motn for a while now. Seems a shame to wake her up for real instead off feeding her sleepy just to check if it isn't necessary.
- Do you use lanolin still? When/ How often? Are your nipples real sensitive still?
There was more but i forgot boooo
- how do i hand-express and how long/much. And what to do wirh that milk?

If they turn into full cries then I get him. Baby H usually sleeps from 10-2 or 3 and I always wake up with sore/hard boobs which I pump after he's had his fill. This produces about 4-5 oz for the next day to supplement. This is the only way I've been able to exclusively breastfeed. I wouldn't do it if I didn't have relatively low supply though. Now I am trying to build a freezer stash for when I go back to work, so I've kept the pumping session for now. I do not check diaper motn unless I think he pooped. Otherwise, I slather on diaper ointment at bedtime and change him in the morning. I don't use lanolin anymore unless my nipples start to hurt after cluster feeding I think I dropped using it regularly around 8 weeks. I've only hand expressed like twice and then I did it into a bottle and added the milk to a larger bottle of expressed milk.

- What do you do when baby let's out some cries motn but doesn't seem to really be awake. Not talking whimpering but real individual cries.. though maybe that is wimpering if she isn't actually awake?
I always give it a few minutes to see if she’ll settle herself. I’ve become pretty good at telling the difference between her sleep whimpers and actual wake up cries.
- what are the criteria for pumping motn if baby STTN but you wake up with sore and leaky boobs one night unexpectedly? This hadnt happened in days/weeks. Did she not drink enough or is my supply going up suddenly or what?
It could be a variety of things. I usually just hand express until I’m comfortable but if that doesn’t work then pumping only enough to relieve pressure can help. I wouldn’t make a habit of pumping like that though unless you’re actively trying to increase your supply.
- Do you always check diaper during motn feeds?
Not anymore. I stopped after her MOTN diapers were dry. If she were to poop I would definitely change her.
- Do you use lanolin still? When/ How often? Are your nipples real sensitive still?
Not really. Every once in a while P changes up her latch and it causes some discomfort so I’ll use some.
- how do i hand-express and how long/much. And what to do wirh that milk?
What I do is gently massage my breast in downward strokes toward the nipple. I do it just until whatever discomfort there was goes away, whether it was a lump I was working out or just feeling full. I’ve never kept the milk, but I know some people collect it.

I wait and see. I learned that the hard way with my first. I would jump up and grab him as soon I heard a peep. This time around I wait to see if he is going to start screaming.
- what are the criteria for pumping motn if baby STTN but you wake up with sore and leaky boobs one night unexpectedly? This hadnt happened in days/weeks. Did she not drink enough or is my supply going up suddenly or what?
I usually don't pump unless he is being fussy when I try to feed him. It hasn't affected my supply yet. I noticed (oddly) that the nights I have wine I get an over supply and have to pump next morning. I definitely think she drank enough, especially if she sttn, it could be your body expectibgba nursing session that didn't happen.
- Do you always check diaper during motn feeds? . D. hasn't had a wet diaper motn for a while now. Seems a shame to wake her up for real instead off feeding her sleepy just to check if it isn't necessary.
Nope, unless he feel wet or leaking through. I stopped that when I had to stop waking him for feeds.
- Do you use lanolin still? When/ How often? Are your nipples real sensitive still?
No I haven't used it in a while. So far the nipple shield has saved me from sore nipples.
- how do i hand-express and how long/much. And what to do wirh that milk?
-I was never good at this... 😞 I don't know why I can't manage to do this.

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent?
5 hours if we are lucky
2. How long does your lo nap for? He was doing a few 2 hour stretches but I think he is in a growth spurt cause now I am lucky if he can go an hour without eating.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? Nope
4. What does your lo like to play with? Not much yet.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Clothes!
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer😧 Jumper and bouncer
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? Not long now doing sitting because he likes that more. He always tries to raise his bottom rather than his head when he is on his tummy.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Trying but he hates it
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yes but only when he is in a deep sleep and it never wakes him, he just raises his arms. My daughter's went away at 5 months
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle He hated it and we stopped at 3 weeks

1. How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Really varies night to night. He sometimes goes q4 sometimes it’s q2-3. I just don’t know what to do.
2. How long does your lo nap for? Anywhere from 20min - 3/4 hours! Seriously varies on the day and location. He usually sucks at napping well when we are out, but yesterday was the first time he napped for 3+ hours while we were out. Yet today we’re at home and it’s 6pm and he hasn’t really napped since 2- I tried to lay him down once he fell asleep on me around 4 and he woke up immediately and has been a bit fussy. He’s starting to fall asleep again now.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? Ugh. Fml. Yes. I got it on Sunday- 9 weeks pp. WHAT IS THIS SHIT 😤
4. What does your lo like to play with? His play mat mostly. I got some rattley toys off Amazon and he looks at it sometimes.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Idk. Probably nothing. He doesn’t know anything haha. The holidays are starting to stress me out bc we are going to be a secular household but my very catholic family is coming for baby’s first Xmas. And DH was raised Jewish but is atheist and I foresee some awkwardness.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer??? We have an exersaucer for when he’s ready. I returned the jumperoo on yalls rec.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? I don’t have a set amount. I used to have him on my chest a lot so I just did that but he doesn’t like to snuggle on my chest as much anymore 😭 so I am making a point increasing his tummy time on a blanket and mat.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? Not a ton. Just for some walks. Occasionally at home but rarely. First time I tried the moby wrap he loved it. Ever since, he screams bloody murder so idk wtf to do. The bjorn is just bulky to wear around home when I’m trying to do something with my hands.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? Yeah somewhat. It’s starting to disappear. (He’s almost 10w)
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We swaddle with muslin a&a blankets right now. We will use sleep sacks once we transition out. He still wakes himself up sometimes if he’s not swaddled.

- What do you do when baby let's out some cries motn but doesn't seem to really be awake. Not talking whimpering but real individual cries.. though maybe that is wimpering if she isn't actually awake?
I am trying to leave him alone, esp if his eyes are closed but then I alternate between thinking if I should grab him and nurse him and maybe he’ll fall back into a deep slumber (haha, yeah right). I just don’t know. But I know if it wakes me up, then I can’t fall back asleep sooooo
- what are the criteria for pumping motn if baby STTN but you wake up with sore and leaky boobs one night unexpectedly? This hadnt happened in days/weeks. Did she not drink enough or is my supply going up suddenly or what?
I pump. My body wakes me up even if I am off baby duty for the night and my boobs hurt and are hard as rocks and I have to pump. I think you should only pump if you need a freezer stash or extra or if you’re in pain. I think You could pump a little to take the edge off, or hand express to stop the leaking, but don’t empty your boob bc that will signal your body to make more, if you don’t want more milk production to happen.
- Do you always check diaper during motn feeds? I touch it, and see if it’s full. Now that we moved up to size 2 diapers I haven’t been changing but if there’s poop I will bc he still has a bit of a rash and I don’t want it to get worse.
- Do you use lanolin still? When/ How often? Are your nipples real sensitive still? Nips are sensitive but nothing like they were so I think like *maybe* once a week or every two weeks I use some lanolin
- how do i hand-express and how long/much. And what to do wirh that milk? I posted the video that helped me see how to hand express. I do it after every pump session and just express it into the bottle of milk I just pumped. Then I either use it or freeze my milk. If you don’t want to save it, I guess you can dump it.

- what are the criteria for pumping motn if baby STTN but you wake up with sore and leaky boobs one night unexpectedly? I don’t know this just happened to me for the first time. Let me know what to do I wasnt sure what to do, i thought about pumping but was worried that would only be temp relief and actually make it worse the next night etc. So I ended up doing nothing except put some nursing pads in top before bedtime. I am a little sore in the morning if she sleeps late but the MOTN soreness lessened over the past days and I no longer wake up MOTN with it. So I guess my boobs now know she sleeps longer?

- Do you use lanolin still? When/ How often? Are your nipples real sensitive still? No I haven't used it in a while. So far the nipple shield has saved me from sore nipples. I too use shields but still my nipples are rather sore at the very tip. It was way worse (to where i would cringe when anything would brush them - drying off after showers or getting dressed was a pita cause ouch!) but still hasnt completely gotten better. I wonder whether it s because we had thrush some weeks ago?? I wish I knew what I could do to make it better and stop hurting altogether.

I don't know what is different this time around. With my first I used nipple shield and still have extremely sore nipples.

My baby taps/punches my boobs as a way to tell me she’s hungry. Baby genius?? Or they all do that ? Baby genius, lol. Or maybe mine's just not that bright--he's never done that. Mine just opens his mouth really wide when I put him in nursing position. It cracks me up bc he looks like a baby bird.

How long does your lo sleep at night? Is this consistent? Both go down around 9pm. E will often STTN until 7am, D sometimes still wakes up for a feeding around 3am.
2. How long does your lo nap for? I don't track sleep but it's anywhere from 30min - 2hrs about 5 times per day.
3. Has anyone gotten a pp period yet? Not yet
4. What does your lo like to play with? They like the kick n play piano, activity mat, and their fireflies.
5. What are you buying baby for Christmas? Not sure. We're short on space and have a ton of toys and books from DS1. Maybe some outfits and a compact toy, like an activity cube.
6. As our babies get older what will you put them in? A bumbo, jumperoo, exersaucer😧 We have a bumbo but DS1 hated it bc he's got chubby thighs. I hope to try it with E since she's slimmer. We also have two exersaucers so we'll go that route.
7. How long do you so tummy time each day? E and D both have some flat spots so I'm tryung to avoid helmets by doing more aggressive tummy time. At least 3 times per day for 15min on their mat, I prop them on their twinz pillow, and carry them as often as I can.
8. Do you wear your baby? How often? No wearing unless we're going out.
9. Does your baby still have the startle reflex? If not, when did it disappear? I think D startles more than E. Hers seems to have gone away for the most part.
10. Of you swaddle, what will you use for bed once you can no longer swaddle? We stopped swaddling a month ago. Once it gets colder, we'll use sleep sacks.

- What do you do when baby let's out some cries motn but doesn't seem to really be awake. Not talking whimpering but real individual cries.. though maybe that is wimpering if she isn't actually awake? I let them sleep until they wake up. D does this often and he rarely wakes up because of it.
- what are the criteria for pumping motn if baby STTN but you wake up with sore and leaky boobs one night unexpectedly? This hadnt happened in days/weeks. Did she not drink enough or is my supply going up suddenly or what? I pump all the time so I'm no help. I would just let it be unless you want to add more to your stash.
- Do you always check diaper during motn feeds? D. hasn't had a wet diaper motn for a while now. Seems a shame to wake her up for real instead off feeding her sleepy just to check if it isn't necessary. Usually they have fully soaked diapers if they wake so I'll change them while their milk is warming up.
- Do you use lanolin still? When/ How often? Are your nipples real sensitive still? Not really. Unless I've had to add more pumping sessions.
- how do i hand-express and how long/much. And what to do wirh that milk? No help here but I would store it or add it to another bottle.
