I think I may ask for a cervix check at my appt on Wednesday. I have been feeling some pressure and some painful twinges like something is happening. And misskilljoy's story of the woman showing up at 8 cm is scaring me, haha. When I delivered my son, a lady walked in and said her water just broke outside. Then she started screaming she needed to push and the nurse brushed her off. Finally checked and she was 10cm already. Lol

We were both ready at the same time, but I was NOT comfortable and she was, so Z is slightly older than another child who’s Mom is a pain warrior.

I feel great today. Like 100x better than the last two. Not sure if that's a good sign or a bad sign. 😂 Feeling great is always a good thing!

According to the mfm, I’m maybe a fingertip dilated, but that’s it. So, the plan is still to wait for a call Sunday afternoon to head in to start the cervix softening (cervadil or whatever). Maybe I’ll be more dilated by then.

The two hardest parts of my day: getting up in the morning and then concentrating after lunch.

I would like to formally announce that I am sick and tired of gestational diabetes. But it seems to be backing off a little lately. I have been able to eat some stuff that I couldn't a couple of weeks ago and still have numbers in the safe range. I would just really like to going back to eating whatever I feel like.

I just attempted to cut and paint my own toenails. I think I pulled like six muscles in the process and aggregated my heartburn. I can't decide it they looked better long and chipped or with this half ass slop job I just forced myself through.

I’m not even really being that careful and numbers are still in range...but I want to just pig out on French fries and ice cream.

I did preschool drop off this morning since DCP took the day off, which was nice. But it is already hot. The school (and much of the district) is doing early dismissal due to heat advisory, which doesn't affect DD since her class is only a morning class anyway. But still, DNFW 100 degree weather. And it is supposed to be hotter tomorrow. I am so glad we paid a bajillion dollars for air conditioning- worth it. I am picking up DD soon and then we are heading downtown to meet H for lunch and say hi to his office. One of his employees is super excited to meet DD which is really sweet. And after lunch, I take DD for her flu shot, and will be offering ice cream afterward as a bribe. It’s 103° here right now... we are across the street from the harbor, it’s not supposed to get his hot here... we do not have A/C.

misskilljoy G (DS1) failed his hearing test twice. We redid it a few weeks later and he passed. Hoping the same for J. Has anyone checked him for a tongue tie? You may or may not feel any pain with a tie, just as an FYI. bethers, we have the mommy doesn’t have a penis conversation a few times a week. If this baby is a girl, I will not be excited to have it with any more frequency. Somewhere in this house is a bunch of 2T and 4T clothing for Z (DS3) and C (DS2). This may keep me up tonight or until I find them. Blah C got upset today when he saw I moved the crib in the room (I needed better access to the closet). So as a compromise to the baby not sleeping in the “big boy room”, I have to set up the toddler bed, just in case he wants to sit in the room while the baby naps. This kid is so excited for this baby, it makes me not being “house ready” Okay, because of the boys adjust, the rest will be okay.

clucky, we tried to look for a tongue tie but he wasn't cooperating. It's mainly my issue - I have flat nipples so it's hard for him to get a good latch. I could use a shield but I hated it with DD. I'm just going to pump once my milk comes in. So much easier. XD

Just woke up from a nap. I had been meaning to take one all day but then five o clock rolled around and I questioned if it was even worth it at that point.
Answer: naps are always worth it

Good luck in your search clucky. I really need to find all our bottles. I don't even know where to start looking but we'll need them.

Oh hey, positive GBS test. Because why fucking not? This pregnancy is just ridiculous. I got antibiotics with DS1 so no big deal but seriously can't catch a break here.

Well now you need someone to come and visit you in the hospital soon after delivery with your favorite food and a milkshake. Blah. Oh, and just an FYI, bazi too, they will check your sugars every 2 hours you are laboring. Yes, even when they give you nothing that will or should actually change your sugars and you will basically have been fasting. I think they checked me a few times after too. Check with what the hours are for the cafeteria and what the after hours meal is. Our first hospital it was a boxed lunch meat sandwich and a bunch of blah as far as I was concerned. The new hospital is 24/7, so I went to town after DS3.

No tears during the flu shot! The nurse was great and DD didn't even know what was happening. And we went to Baskin Robbins where we had some delicious ice cream. I had a mint chip shake, so good. Lunch with H was nice and on the way to the car DD said "lunch with daddy was fun".❤
The only negative about today is that is 100 degrees. Ugh.

I tried that with DD and her latch was still shallow - tiny mouth. DS seems the same so far. I'm down with pumping because it means MH can help overnight and I am all about shared feedings, heh.

But end of Sept/early Oct is the hottest time of year here. Usually not late October. And lots of schools don't have AC, hence the early dismissal. We don't even live far inland... It must be 10 degrees hotter a few miles inland.
