I have some kind of crazy change of season head cold, nonstop nose running situation going on so last night I took nyquil & slept til about 9:30 this morning. 😱 Today is the soccer fall classic. I'm kinda dreading it. It's gonna be crazy. They have two games this afternoon with like almost an hour break in between. Then they get "medallions" at the end. I think it's gonna be utter chaos because it's gonna be the whole county league there. Oy.

Oh boy @chair sounds fun! Lol but couldn't you have just rang the doorbell? I disconnected it because people would ring and wake up H during the day. He probably would have ignored it because that’s what he does. Edit: I did try calling him first but he didn’t wake up. ohhh okay. Lol Go DD!!

I have applesauce simmering and getting ready to be jarred. It seems so fall like in here.
We got our pumpkins this morning and we have a soccer fundraiser dinner tonight. I've got the windows open and am enjoying the day. DS is outside playing. I could get used to this weather in October!

@chair the weather is the same here. So gorgeous!
Applesauce is delicious!! I made three quart sized jars plus a little extra for now. I have more apples to do tomorrow or Monday. It's so easy!
Taking DS on a nice bike ride now before our dinner later. I'm so glad he's feeling better today. Enjoying every bit of this weather!

Yes, hopefully. We were planning to wait until spring, but we recently started looking. We are in no rush & have 0 pressure so if we find something now great, if not, it's not a big deal.

Holy crap today was tiring. We were gone from right 1245ish & got home around 630. We won both games though!! Super exciting! The kids got medals. Everyone did but we were 1st place in our division. I feel like we should have gotten a trophy but those were for the older kids. Womp womp

We were actually supposed to drop the dog and DS off to my parents' for a sleepover tonight. But, thanks to a barking cough that resulted in little sleep for all three of us last night, we cancelled the whole thing - H and I were supposed to go do dinner at a nice restaurant across town and had hotel reservations, but luckily we were able to cancel without charge. We spent most of the day today snuggling on the couch with books and tv, DS had a fever but finally started perking up a little before bed. So I'm hoping the warm bath and Motrin do their job and we all get a little more sleep tonight. I'm also super salty that my pediatrician's office never called us back. We eventually found out from the on-call lady my least favorite doctor in the practice was on-call, and at the end of the day, he hasn't really been sick enough for me to be really worried about him, but still, it would have been nice to get the reassurance from a doctor. We've never dealt with that croup-y cough before.

How exciting! We bought our first home last October. I'm already planning on several remodels and building a vacation home. H is . . . well. . . a little overwhelmed, but I love this stuff. I'm hoping we can increase the value of our home and have it paid off in 15 years. That's awesome! We've been in our starter home for 8 years. A kid + 2 dogs has made it so we've outgrown it. I'm so ready for a bigger place with more storage!

We rented our starter home. After DD was born, we HAD to move. It was so teeny and the stairs were very steep and scary. Kids and dogs take up so much room even though they're tiny. No kidding! It doesn't help that our current house is sorely lacking in storage...and it shows. 😕

Hello! We are in NYC. One of our friends got married last night, my husband was in the wedding. It was so much fun. One of the best weddings I’ve ever been to.
Yesterday morning/afternoon I had time to myself since my husband was doing stuff for the wedding. I ended up going to the discount tickets booth in Times Square and got a ticket to see Anastasia. The woman made it sound like my seat wasn’t that good but it was 40% off so I didn’t really care. The seat ended up being great! I enjoyed the show a lot. I hung out by the stage door after to get my playbill signed. Most of the cast came out, except for Ramin Karimloo. He’s the one I really wanted to see but to see him in a show was good enough! The people from the cast who did come out were very friendly. There were a lot of young girls there and the woman who played Anastasia took a lot of time to talk to them and take pictures. It was sweet.
We’re going to spend a little more time here today before going home. It looks like it’s going to be a nice day!

I need to find a better way to set up our recycling. We don't have enough room for it all. Right now all the plastic film is just in a bag on the counter that is constantly in the way. But there's not really a better place for it, either. I cannot wait to move and get all this stuff fixed.

We saw 2 more houses today, both were just ok. We're planning to see a few more next weekend. I'm just ready to be out of here.
