Today a friend is taking R to the pumpkin patch and we may go to a party at a friend's house in the afternoon if he gets home in time and isn't a mess.
Tomorrow R1 and R2 are going off roading (in a truck) with another friend. I'm staying home to clean my filthy house and prep for arrival of in laws on Monday.

We are having our big annual cider making day.
We press about 25+ gallons of cider, and otherwise laugh, play, and be merry. It will be an exhausting, but fun day.

All 3 girls are still sick with colds and as an added bonus, R threw up twice by 830am. So our only plans are to bring in the patio furniture for winter, mow the lawn for hopefully the last time this year, and grocery shopping. DH leaves for a work trip tomorrow-Thursday so trying to get things done while I have the help.
If by any chance the girls are better by tomorrow, we have a Moms of Multiples Family meetup in the morning.

Hopefully shower this morning.
E has swimming, then a birthday party.
We will be having the neighbors over for jambalaya tonight. So I need to grocery shop, clean up (slightly), and cook. The cooking part is easy, since I've made it several times. I got a good stretch of sleep last night, so I actually feel kind of refreshed today.

The kids are slowly recovering from what seems to be a super mild case of hand foot and mouth. We might have a cold going at the same time, because there is so much snot, and dh and I woke up with really sore throats today, so I'm not really sure what that's all about. Either way we are hanging close to home.

The next week is going to be pretty busy, so we didn’t really make plans for this weekend. I’d like to get some reading done and go outside plenty this weekend since it’s really nice out. Ideally I would be able to get DS to sit in the stroller so I could do a long power walk... probably not going to happen.
I am planning to make chicken spaghetti for dinner tomorrow. Yummy.

Currently lying in bed reading because nugget is playing in her crib happily. Going to get up and make coffee and eat soon, then need to make a post office run. Need to do laundry at some point, and go buy a baby gift for a friend. And close the pool. Tomorrow we have a game to go to, and it’s bring your dog day, so we are bringing Kara with us. Hopefully it isn’t too crazy.

My mom wanted to go out this morning so I got dressed and put in makeup and got the kid ready. Then she changed her mind and volunteered to "watch" him while he naps this afternoon instead so I can go grocery shopping. Thanks. Fuck that. We're going to the bakery and then the park. J is off tomorrow so we're going to make the trek to the zoo to see the pandas!

I'm sick, blech. MH is heading to a football game with his dad in a couple hours and won't be home until well after midnight, so it's me and the kiddos today. Tomorrow we're going to a corn maze/fall fun place that I'm pretty excited about.
Also, last night we met our donkey! And...we're getting his mom too, and possibly his sister. So we might have 3! The little girl is a micro and I'm just in love with her, she is so sweet and gorgeous. The lady who owns them isn't sure if she's ready to re-home her yet so she's thinking about it.

My H left yesterday for a conference and won't be back until Wednesday night. My dad was also out of town last night, so my mom spent the night at my house. We ordered pizza, made cookies, and watched a movie. It was nice.
Today we got to the farmer's market right at 8, then went out for breakfast and made a quick stop at the toy store. It's really windy today so I don't want to do anything outside...

ETA I just learned that the guys are either getting a hotel near the starting point tonight or sleeping at our friend's house so they can get an early start. So it will be just me and the baby tonight and all day tomorrow.

Got big plans to finally move my washer and dryer into the apartment, and finish up our bed. I'm also going out with bff tomorrow to get stuff for Halloween baking. For the moment, I'm laying down resting/cat napping with the nanimals but I'm going to get up soonish to get a move on

This is the first weekend DH has had off in a month because of making up time due to his illness. I've been looking forward to spending time with him forever. The kids and I all have a cold so yesterday was a crapshoot. DH ended up going to play disc golf with our neighbor, then came home and fell asleep for a couple of hours. Today he took C with him to get his hair cut and ended up being gone all morning looking a different stores while I tidied the house and did 3 loads of laundry. He came home and decided to move the chicken coop which turned into a fight because he expects me to read his mind, so like when he says "loosen the left hand chain" and I say "how loose?" and he says "just leave it completely loose and move out of the way" suddenly it is my fault that the chain is now stuck underneath the coop because I apparently wasn't actually supposed to just leave it and move out of the way like he said... of course when I try to clarify anything I'm talking too much... So he just made himself a sandwich because he doesn't need me for anything (I'm just a worthless woman) and left to play disc golf with the neighbor again. I was thinking of taking the kids to do something fun by myself while he is gone since he did leave me the truck but it is just so incredibly hard to take them anywhere by myself and makes it not feel worth it, plus E really needs to have a nap since she is sick. I wish I didn't feel so sad and isolated. I know it is my fault that I let myself think we can have an enjoyable family weekend when I know my DH can't stand being around me and refuses to do anything the rest of us might enjoy. I can't wait to go to church tomorrow... I'm going whether I'm sick or not, any sick kids can just stay home with DH.

critter015 😕 you deserve to feel valued. You do so much, I frequently feel worn out just reading your posts! I forget, didn’t you guys start counseling?

Thanks charlotte We talked about counseling but finances are an issue and DH couldn't commit to a time so instead we were just trying to make time alone together a priority while also kind of focusing on each other's most important emotional needs, which was helping a lot but hasn't happened much since school started and DH got sick. I also started going to a sort of mentoring group for wives at my church which has helped me a lot. We're studying the book Love and Respect right now and reading the man's perspective has really helped me to calm my reactions to certain things DH does. I know that deep down DH really does love and appreciate me, it is just the opposite that comes out when he gets frustrated. I realize that I can only control myself, so I'm doing my best to work on me but sometimes I get discouraged by the way he acts and it helps to vent a little.

My orchestra has a concert tomorrow, including a piece that I love and haven’t played since college. I had rehearsals Friday night and this morning, so I took the kids to my parents after school on Friday and we all stayed there. I got to go to my rehearsals, my kids and parents got time together, I got guilt free childcare, and my husband got some space. And I get to play Pines of Rome tomorrow.

J works all weekend. Again. Boo. The good news is that they hired a new comanager (a transfer-- yay experience!), so hopefully his schedule will be more normal again soon. M and I went to ballet this morning, then shopping for stuff to make her Halloween costume. We both had naps (PTL!), and then we went to visit my uncle in rehab (he had a very extensive spinal reconstructive surgery. After that we hit a park and headed home. I'm currently watching Blade Runner and drinking scotch.
Tomorrow we have the pumpkin train at the science museum with my friends and their son. Hoping to get some work done on the costume in the afternoon.

Happy Sunday everyone! Having a good day here. Got the house clean, bedding washed, ordered Xmas cards, completed some Xmas shopping, and planned some crafts/projects. I’m thinking of baking some banana bread tonight.

The weather is basically the definition of perfection right now. DH and the kids are outside while I’m inside prepping dinner. This is the most blissful dinner prep ever.

Yesterday was awesome but exhausting.
Today, our guests all left and we all napped. Now we have a little outside cleanup to do, and I’m going to make nachos loaded with roasted veggies to eat while my children run around. So hungry.

DH left this morning for a work trip. All 3 girls are vomiting and have diarrhea. They’ve all been in bed before 6pm the last 3 nights. Hoping they go down easy again tonight so I can just sit in silence.

Gosh I’m tired. Full weekends are fun but exhausting.
This would be a perfect night for a couple drinks and an early bedtime. I’ll get halfway there...

mc13 that sounds miserable. Hope they all go to sleep and stay that way. Add me to the "weekends are exhausting" list. But I did hold a sweet 2 month old who was adorable and snugly and didn't make a peep. And made my 16 month old look huge.

Yesterday went to a soccer game, and it was Paws on the Pitch day, so we brought Kara with us. It was fun, but exhausting. The dogs had to stay in one section of the stadium, so we ended up splitting the halves and I was in our regular seats with Nugget for the first half and then stayed in the dog area with Kara for the second half (with Nugget sleeping in a carrier on my back). Totally forgot to bring the baby gift for our friend (who is a security guard at the stadium), but that was a good thing because I somehow had thought he was having a girl, but he had a boy. So we'll be returning the pink onesie set (J picked it out) and picking out something else... It was a long day, but Nugget had a blast running around the tailgate and petting all the dogs she could get her hands on and eating way too many cookies, and Kara got a million pets and treats. Oh, and we found out one of our friends whose seats are right next to ours is pregnant (due in June, so it's still very early)!
