**TW** Hello! I definitely wasn't expecting to be coming here so soon, but I guess here I am. I'm M, just turned 30. H is G, 31. We've been together for 12 years and married for 7. Almost 4 years ago we started TTC. It took us 4 months to get pregnant the first time, but I miscarried at 11 weeks. Took an additional 6 months to get pregnant a second time, and I lost that pregnancy at 5 weeks. At that point we decided to shelve TTC and focus on our careers for a bit, so I got an IUD Last month, one of my birthday presents to myself was to get my IUD removed. It ended up working out that O day was my birthday. Apparently we wound up making another birthday present because I was late! Confirmed with a digi tonight, a week late, that I am pregnant :-)
Given my history, I'm going to be followed by a high risk doctor, and I'll be starting on heparin shots as of Monday (the theory being that I was throwing clots). I'm excited and terrified at the same time, but I'm going to take it one day at a time.
Thanks all. Like I said, this sort of took me by surprise. Definitely was not expecting it so soon especially given my previous history. I'm being super extra vigilant right now because with both of my losses I started bleeding almost right away. So far so good though, only 2 days of light spotting which I'm assuming were implantation bleeding :-) I feel like I'm having more symptoms, but where it's been so long I may have just forgotten lol
