What craft have you always wanted to try but have been intimidated or don't know where to start or are afraid of becoming a pinterest fail?
Maybe we can share some resources and skills so we can learn new things!

Quilting - I don't have the space or money to start trying it right now.
Knitting - I know the basics, I'm just so slow and I crochet fast so I always go back to that.
Woodwork - again, space and money are keeping me from doing more of this

Crochet. I need to just sit down and try again.
I want to like cross stitch, but I was bored out my skull.
Quilting, but I have the feeling I would be bored like with cross stitch.
Sewing. I can do very basic things, but my grandmother and mother can both sew anything and I want to be able to that.
ETA: My grandmother made both of my prom dresses and you would never know they were homemade.

Weaving. I even bought a used rigid heddle loom, warped it and started a scarf. But it was very noisy, very time consuming, and then I had DS.

I've always wanted to take a jewelry-making class and learn how to solder metal.
Knitting and crocheting intrigue me, but I'm not sure I have the patience for something so repetitive, and I'd probably drop stitches all over the place because I'm not terribly focused.
I also really want a cricut or silhouette, but I really can't justify the cost to how much I will probably use it.
I'm just starting out sewing, so I'm planning on getting a machine and a couple of lessons to start. I really want to sew dresses for my daughter, and make gifts for people.

Making clothes/costumes - I would love to get into cosplay, but we have neither the space nor the budget.

Screenprinting. I finally took a two day workshop on it this weekend. It was super fun! Now I just need to configure a space to actually do it at home...that could be tricky.
I also want to get back into weaving. I have a huge floor loom that has been in disuse for too long.
I want to take a couture sewing class too.

Dramaphile, you should give knitting or crocheting a try - doing the basic stitches ARE very repetitive, but I find that doing them and making simple scarves/afghans can help me focus and tune in to other things (movies, podcasts). I wish I could crochet in work meetings, keeping my hands busy is SO helpful. The complex stitches can be super challenging and not really repetitive, I especially like crochet because it lends itself to improv and is fast (and easy to rip back and restart a row or a section or the whole thing).

Maybe I'll give something basic a try, I looked at it briefly and was intimidated, but I probably should start much more beginner. The problem is, I have too many crafts I want to do and not enough time!

Dramaphile, yeah, I get it. I'm on the other side - I've tried a bunch and settled down with the few I really liked. Basically quilting/sewing and crochet, with only a fleeting flirtation with any other craft. For me it's not time so much as lack of room to store a bunch of supplies. And I mostly keep the crochet because I can stick to 1-2 projects at a time, and the hooks don't take up much room at all, plus the aforementioned focus thing - I can't quilt and watch project runway ;-)

I'd like to learn more about sewing.
I'd also like to start reprinting furniture. I've watched a couple of tutorials, but I haven't got up the courage to try it.
I'd also love to learn about woodworking.

I wanted to do more sewing. But all my stuff is in the basement and that is a bit of a deterrent. I need a hobby that I can do in the living room haha. And not bring the entire mess upstairs.

I want to learn how to do cable knitting. It looks so difficult.

I want to learn how to do cable knitting. It looks so difficult. It's not as hard as it looks. It does take a lot of counting, though.

My daughter is crazy for beads right now, and I've caught the bug too. I've been eyeing a beading class taught by a member of one of the tribes near here...pretty tempted.
