I wrote 100 postcards. They were like "can you do more?" and I was "lol no."
I feel FFFC about it. I should do more, but at the moment I barely have enough time shower. Actually, I haven't showered since Wednesday. FFFC #2.
Anyway, I'm actually freaking out. Terrified of Gillespie winning. Thanks for giving me a place to say that.

I think the issue with Justin Fairfax's name being taken off fliers was a mistake I'm that it was wrong, and also a tactical error.

I sent my ballot back today! I am very concerned about Gillespie, but my dad said he really liked Northam's response see add to Gillespie because it was no-nonsense. Voter turnout is going to be a big deal.

It looks like prince William doesn’t have early voting or in person absentee. I saw fairfax does. Is this correct?
I haven’t voted in Virginia since 2008 so I’m behind the times.

I’m worried about the SW vote. Dems just don’t seem excited about Northam down here.

I'll be voting absentee in person next weekend. Excited to vote, but terrified it'll be a repeat of last year.
God help us all if Gillespie wins.

On a happy note though, I'm really looking forward to taking Lugnut with me when I go to vote next weekend. It's why I decided to do in-person instead of via mail. I have fond memories of going with my parents when they voted, and I'm excited to start the same tradition with her. DH is going to take her with him when he goes on Election Day, so she'll get tin vote with both of us.

I saw two polls. One +1 for G and one +12 for N.

I'm really hoping that Obama speaking on behalf of Northam helps motivate people

I’m worried about the SW vote. Dems just don’t seem excited about Northam down here. Lurking on this topic, but this is always so frustrating to me. I’ve never been excited by a Dem gubernatorial candidate in my state but I still go out and vote for them if the Rep is worse. How in the time of Trump could you just sit home and let someone else terrible win?! Sorry, it makes me frustrated! I wonder if more Dems realized what could happen if too many Dems lose Governor seats they’d be motivated to get out and vote. The last thing we need is a constitutional convention in the time of Trump. 😳

In my Very blue hood I am seeing several Gillespie signs. I was kind of shocked. Definitely more Northam. I am feeling like maybe people were too embarrassed to publicly endorse DT, but are less so for Gillespie? I am very nervous and trust no polls.

I'm trying to save my sanity and not follow too closely. I'm in a very rural county that will most definitely go red, but I'll still be there with my vote for Northam!

I mailed 100 postcards today. I think 135,000 postcards were mailed in all. Fx that it helps Northam, Fairfax, Herring and the other dems running.

And Trump's weighing in again this morning: Yes please, Ed Gillespie - save our heritage of slavery and racism! That's something all Virginians can be proud of!

And Trump's weighing in again this morning: Yes please, Ed Gillespie - save our heritage of slavery and racism! That's something all Virginians can be proud of! Also what bad Virginia economy? Our unemployment is under 4% and most sectors are growing steadily and we have relatively stable govt finances... I'm genuinely confused at what he could be talking about.

To be fair, there are places in southwest VA where the unemployment rate is 7-7.4%. But in many places in NoVA it's below 3%.

If he wants to talk about something that threatens to hurt VA’s economy, let’s talk about his stupid federal budget and tax reform. Losing the ability to write state and county taxes off is going to really hurt people financially. We’re talking increased foreclosures/bankruptcies and lowered home sales/values. 🙁

Absolutely, mh is from near Martinsville and it's sad how the area lacks any real industry. A hospital just closed too, so now I think it's official that Walmart is their largest employer. That said, I get he is playing to his base, but VA isn't the best example of a failing economy, ya know?

And in NoVA it's pretty well booming.

I’ve seen like six political ads during Jeopardy tonight. The ones Gillespie is running about Northam giving rights to sex offenders is... something.
