When do we start tummy time? We've been doing skin to skin on her tummy, but not outside of that. I've been doing it since just a few days old, at least for a few minutes. However this wild child is already rolling from tummy to back so it usually doesn't last long.

Add me to the sleep deprivation club. Baby girl just could not get comfy last night (so much grunting), either from gas or just wanting to be held. She is waking to eat every couple hours, which I'm getting used to, but usually she falls right to sleep after putting her back in the RNP. Last night it took 2-3 tries each time before she finally settled. There was one magical night, a few nights ago, when she slept 7 hours straight...so that's not going to happen again any time soon. cythe You can start anytime really. At first you can just lay her over your legs on her belly for a couple minutes, and eventually go the floor. Sometimes I prop her up with the Bobby pillow if she's not digging the floor.

caitost21 WTF to that lady, like danvers said... should be uncomfortable but not painful. Spotting is normal but nothing more. My Thursday yoga theory is out the window. It’s almost 4pm and nothing to report. And I woke up from my nap to MIL banging and stomping around my kitchen (it’s right below my bedroom) she decided to start making dinner but didn’t know where a bunch of kitchen tools and ingredients are located... so she’s winging it 😬 I was looking forward to the chicken Parmesan I had planned.

I've decided the only way I'm going to survive is assuming that this child is never coming out. So I'm trying to keep myself as busy as i can manage, and just keep staying the course in the meantime. In good news, DS1's fever broke over night, and he seems to be feeling better today.

danvers August BloomsI really don’t know how to describe this exam, it was rough and horrible. It makes me very upset to think about now. I felt like she had no clue what she was doing and she honestly hurt me. I had to tell her to stop, she was so far up there and basically scraping me. I’m debating filing a complaint because I did not feel like she was competent.

Turns out I was not the first to do so. The hospital needs to be aware they have a liability problem with her. So sorry what you went through. It sounds awful. ☹️

caitost21 Make a complaint... you should not be treated that way. I’m not sure if she is part of the regular practice for your OB but it would definitely be worth mentioning at your appointment tomorrow. I’ve had a few exams and ultrasounds between both pregnancies and fertility treatments and it can be uncomfortable but the person doing them should not be hurting you. I had a resident rough me up during a vaginal ultrasound once, luckily the doctor was right there. She somehow thought my cervix was located near my belly button.

Yikes caitost21 that definitely doesn’t sound normal to me either. I would definitely mention it at the appointment tomorrow

Ugh. Toddler is toddlering hard tonight. Evenings in general are difficult because H has started coaching, baby wants to cluster feed, and toddler just wants some mommy time (and mommy just wants mommy time too!). We’ll get through this and figure out a new normal soon - I can just feel my patience with DD1 wearing thin and then I feel bad since she’s just had a major life adjustment too. ☹️

Ugh, just had to make an impromptu trip to the Service Canada office because there was a piece of paper missing from my application needed for my maternity benefit payments. Luckily my mom came and hung out with DD so I only took DS with me and it was actually way quicker and less painful than I was expecting. Unfortunately today was supposed to be my at home pajama day so I had to get dressed just for that 😒

Tomorrow I’m taking the kids out for breakfast with my parents and my aunt and then to the pumpkin patch! So excited! My parents will take DD on all the activity stuff while I sit and drink coffee with DS. Mostly I just want pictures of the two of them in the pumpkin patch, I bought DS the cutest little pumpkin hat

We had a great morning with the baby taking a nice long nap so I could spend time with DD one on one. Then after lunch DS cluster fed like crazy - every 1.5-2 hours all afternoon into tonight. Surely this means the cluster feeding is over and he will not keep me up nursing all night? Right??

doodlemommy Thanks for reminding me to check my Service Canada account... employer has still not sent ROE. Hopefully it happens soon, glad to hear it was a quick and easy fix.

I had an acupuncture appointment with my naturopath, she suggested nipple stimulation and sex neither sound appealing to me at this point. Maybe once my due date hits I’ll be more open to these sorts of things. My husband had an employee suggest sex to him yesterday, he is a manager so that went over pretty awkwardly. It was an older lady who meant well but still...

August Blooms Everyone keeps telling me to have lots of sex! It’s incredibly annoying. It’s it the last thing on earth I want. I don’t care if I’m still pregnant. I’m so physically and emotionally drained all the time.

rachydc That sounds annoying, I think if we go past my due date this weekend I’ll be hearing that a lot more. Am I correct in remembering that your baby is being evicted this weekend?
