The baby slept from 9:45 until 2:45! That was some much needed sleep for this momma. Now if I can just get him back to sleep for some more rest...

I've been up most of the night. Of course right after I laid him down he had a big poop. Now I'm nursing him back down again.
DH, DS1, and I still have these annoying coughs. Depending on how I'm sitting it'll hurt my stitches and tmi: I'll have quite a gush of pee. Good thing I'm still wearing the overnight pads, sheesh. đ

Iâm wide awake but because Iâm monitoring my feet. My feet were sweating profusely all day yesterday (not normal for me) and then became super swollen. They are about the same size but one foot is a bit painful/tender. Google is freaking me out and Iâm sure when I call my OB they will make me go in.

Meanwhile, I'm over here excited that I got an hour and a half stretch. Really hoping baby gets it together soon, because this nursing every thirty min business is real exhausting!

Last night was... Interesting. Trying to put the little guy to bed and apparently he just wasn't having it. Every time we got close he pooped. Ugh. I maybe got an hour between 10 and 2. But then a 2.5 hour stretch and I feel like I've spent the evening at the spa. Lol.
Nothing planned for today. I'm hoping to squeeze a walk in at some point, ideally about an hour after I've taken some Motrin đ

No plans for today, so I'm not sure what we'll end up doing. It's supposed to be beautiful weather and I so wish that we could go for a walk, but I don't think my body is quite up for that yet. Currently snuggling DS1 and watching Daniel Tiger while everyone else sleeps.

Iâm up too. Been up on and off all night. Whatever, I need to get used to it any way Iâve been trying to think more positively about still being pregnant. Iâm obviously making progress, albeit at a glacial pace, but at least itâs progress made at home while Iâm comfortable and not in a hospital bed hooked up to the dreaded heart rate shackles. This will hopefully make my induction on saturday go nice and fast Iâm also getting a biophysical US today and am sooo excited to see our little guy! I havenât seen him since our elective US at 31 weeks! So itâll be a very informative appt

I have a large tumbler a keep at my nursing station and I always make sure to refill it before I go to bed so it's there in the MOTN.

I'm glad to see many of us getting decent stretches. Who knew we could be so thankful for such little amounts of sleep.

I saw this thread around 3am and was so confused about what day of the week it was. DS1 goes to daycare today so I see a nap in my future. And so much laundry. Why do we always have so much Laundry?!

The past two Thursdays Iâve had incidents of false labor... Until yesterdayâs class I never put it together that I had done yoga the night before and maybe the squatting and movement triggered something. Or itâs a complete coincidence and Iâm desperate for something to happen today. DD goes to daycare so Iâll try to get a few things on my bonus to do list done.

My night is about to start - trying to get LO down for his first stretch right now. Please baby don't poop right before I put you down. Last night was okay I guess. Baby is a sleepy nurser, so feedings take forever. I got two 1.5 hr stretches of sleep, and then a 45 min one. After DS went to school, I also got in a 45 min morning nap, as well as a 1 hr nap in the afternoon while DS and LO were down at the same time. So, overall not too bad. We have our first pedi appointment tomorrow, and I am hoping for a good weight so I can stop waking the baby every 2 - 2.5 hrs to eat at night! rachydc August Blooms Hoping for some progress for you both very soon! caitost21 Good luck if you hAve to go in today - that sounds like no fun.

DD nursed every hour from 8-1, I thought I was in for it last night but then she gave me two 3 hour stretches and is currently back to sleeping right now. She was 3 oz away from birth weight at our pedi appt on Monday so I'm not waking her up at all to eat.
On my list for today: making lactation cookies and cleaning up the kitchen a bit. Maybe a walk, it seems like a beautiful fall day today.

Been MIA this week, sorry about that. Started having contractions Monday night and I thought it was go-time. Got to triage Tuesday morning and I was only a fingertip dilated so they sent me home. OB appt yesterday morning put me at 2.5cm dilated and 50% effaced. If I donât have him by my next appt Tuesday sheâs fine with inducing me. She also stretched my cervix in hopes it would help my contractions intensify. Contractions this morning have been a bit more intense so Iâm hoping sequel will be here today or tomorrow...

What Iâm getting from Randoms today is a stark reminder of how little sleep is in my future.
The high fives over 4 hours. Newborn 4 hours = normal 18 hours for real. Itâs bringing me back to reality.

Sleep is a struggle over here too. We were up every 2 hours to nurse until about 1 am when she was struggling to pass some poop. 4 am she finally went back down so I could sleep, and at 6:30 I turned over baby (fed, changed and asleep) to my mom so I could really get some sleep. I got up here at 10 am and mom said she's still asleep from when I put her down.

DS1 did well during his speech appt today. She even commented on how well he's doing, especially with the big life change. Then his teachers were gushing over DS2. No other plans today, so I think I'll just nap đ

When do we start tummy time? We've been doing skin to skin on her tummy, but not outside of that.

Got checked out and it was awful. The triage midwife was awful. Technically, I need to be seen by a high risk OB so not sure what was going on with that. She did an internal and claimed to not be able to find my cervix even though she commented right before that my cervix was soft and high. Seriously the most painful thing ever. She also did an ultrasound, confirmed baby is head down and then 10 minutes later, said she couldnât find the head and baby may be transverse. She wasnât looking low enough into my pelvis and she had just seen it!!! I see my regular OB tomorrow and will definitely be complaining and getting a proper check.
Also, how much bleeding should have me worried? It was a ROUGH exam. itâs basically like cd1 type spotting/bleeding

Technically I think the nurse at the hospital told me to start right away though *disclaimer - I was awful about remembering this with DD1 even though I was home with her for 5 months and she turned out fine but did take forever to roll front to back compared to peers

It was a ROUGH exam. itâs basically like cd1 type spotting/bleeding My doctor said not to worry about a little bit of blood in late pregnancy but if it should fill a pad I needed to head in. The fear, while rare, is placental abruption where the placenta tears away from uterine wall and needs to be dealt with asap. Is there an OB on call you could contact? My cervix exams were uncomfortable but never hurt necessarily - only the sweeping of the membranes âhurtâ. And I barely bleed after them, more like spotting or only when I wiped.
