Done that. Sadly, many times. DS does a good job of shaming me too. "Did you mean to leave your keys in the door? So anyone can come in and take our things?" OMGWTF. have done.. more times than I'd like to admit. DH is usually the one who discovers this, when he comes home later. |

What about:
Him- "Where is the ___?"
Me- "It's in that room."
Him- "No it's not, I already checked."
And then I go in and immediately find the item right where I said it would be.
