pootsen twins again re: regular discharge vs thinking my water broke. I think I am slightly scarred from last time. My water broke with a pop when I turned over in the MOTN, so now when I turn over my hand just immediately goes to my crotch to check. Twins

misskilljoy, we don't really have the option of anyone watching DS overnight. I am just going to pretend like it won't happen during the night. We would have about an hour before anyone can get to us to watch DS1 so worst case scenario, we bring him to the hospital and H hangs out with him in the waiting area until someone can get there. If I have to labor with just the nurses, I can totally manage that. H kind of annoyed me last time anyway DD came to the hospital with us at 4am and stayed until about 8:30 when someone could get her. The nurses loved her and took her to the lounge to watch TV whenever I had to be checked. It shouldn't be a big deal if he has to come to the hospital for a little while. But still, I will send daytime labor thoughts your way!

Ugh, sorry for the coffee catastrophe cnf. I hope you got a refill! AnnPerkins, I hope that your Dr sticks to the most recent date. I can’t imagine dealing with the itching to have your finish line yanked away. I saw some major sparkles last night after throwing up. Yes, still puking here. I checked my BP immediately and it was pretty good (for me). No other pre-e symptoms, but now I’m a nervous wreck thinking about it. I have a fairly mild headache but I’m convinced it’s pre-e. I’ll call my OB if anything persists, but trying not be too anxious and make things worse.

I'm dying watching this episode of the Mindy Project. So good.
I'm so sad this is the last season.

I woke up 3 times from dreaming I was in labor. I haven't had any signs of labor but each time I told myself I'm packing my bags today. For real this time. My list today: fold and put away laundry, pack hospital bag, shower. They don't seem like lofty goals, and yet here I sit on the couch...

I absolutely couldn't stand anyone touching me and H was trying to calm me by touching and talking. Nope. Get away from me. It sounds like we have the same H. I finally had to just tell him to stop talking to me. I feel like I'll be yelling at DH to remember the two pre-approved touch styles we have practiced, lol. I don't know why but he keeps trying to scratch my belly like a dog and I'm like WTF, NO. Not approved. Flat hands on lower back - ok. I do not want to feel your fingertips! Bah. WHAT. I am dying at this mental image. Why on earth would he be scratching your belly?! MH came back into the room just in time to help hold my legs, which was actually good because god damn my nurse was useless. I may just tell him to give me a foot-wide berth until the leg-holding happens.

I have no idea what he's thinking misskilljoy you can just really stress how good he was at holding your legs last time, lol.

All I've had on my list today is "get some schoolwork done, wash the bouncy seat and changing pad covers". I've been up since 6. I have not done anything on my list. I did play a lot of Zelda this morning, though, and now I'm watching Friends while "working on schoolwork".

AnnPerkins misskilljoy my itching is nothing compared to what you ladies are going through but I can commiserate on my belly looking horrific. I bruise like a peach so any scratching I've done in regards to regular stretch marks has left me bruised. I looked in the mirror the other day and saw that the underside of my belly has a bruise the size of a palm print. Thankfully I have a week before my next ob appt otherwise I can only imagine the questions I'll get.

Ugh fancy, I'm so sorry. Between the throwing up and the headache, I would probably call the OB. That is a bit worrisome.

I've been itchy at night but I dont know if it is at a level I should be concerned about. So I've been ignoring it. I will see how it is tonight and maybe bring it up tomorrow at my appt.

Do you have a rash at all? Even just rougher skin? That was what made my doc declare it PUPPP. He could see from my scratching that there were obviously small bumps. You can't really see them except for where I've scratched them raw, though. It's very attractive. PUPPP is arguably preferable to cholestasis since there is no risk to mom or baby with it. It's just annoying AF.

Shit show of a night. I couldn't sleep at all. I finally slept from 3-6:30.
My husband's combine started on fire last night as he was working. So he's in a pretty pissy mood and was pretty grouchy this morning (understandable). We were hoping for 10 perfect days to get this field work done so he could be done so I could have a baby. Lol. It's a total write off. If you want to see a stressed farmer, this is would be one way to see one.

What does "pretty good for me" mean re: BP? Take note of any swelling or gastro pain. Tell your doctor about the headache, throwing up, and spots. Don't assume it will persist if it's serious... Symptoms of pre-e come and go sometimes. My doc's decision to induce was made in part because I had a headache off and on all weekend (even though it was gone by the time I saw him). Some pre-e symptoms will not be obvious to you and need to be checked by a doc or nurse, so please don't assume everything is fine just because some symptoms went away. I hope it ISN'T pre-e. I hope it's just shitty third tri stuff. But get checked out.

Also my phone just updated and that somehow changed Tapatalk. I hate it.

misskilljoy nope, no bumps or rash at all. ETA: and the itchiness is all over, not just my stomach and I don't really have stretch marks so I don't think it is related to those. Before anyone thinks I'm bragging: I don't have stretch marks because I lost a bunch of weight in high school and my skin never really shrunk back up so it is stretchy. 😬 #sexyaf

That is first priority on my mommy makeover list. Lol. I think I've convinced DH that I NEED belly button reconstructive surgery within the next 2 years. All of my stretch marks surround it and this pregnancy has added a few more. I can't imagine it's going to be a great look when things go back to their new normal.

Poor DD Is a hot mess today. She got sent home from daycare for a fever. She had 3 vaccines yesterday and is working on a tooth. I woke up around 1pm post night shift to find a voicemail from daycare and from DH letting me know she was next door at my ILs.
Tuesday confession: totally thought my water broke yesterday (I've never had it break on my own). Turns out was just peeing myself while standing up. Pregnancy is so glam.

I have an OB appointment in a couple hours. I know she'll want to check for dilation. I kind of want to decline because I haven't any had any contractions and doubt my cervix is doing anything. Does the cervix dialate without any noticeable contractions? I'm feeling very new right now.

bubbles,Last pregnancy I think i was 2 -3 cm dilated without noticing. I think this can vary widely from person to person and pregnancy. Go with your gut mama! GL at the appointment.

And now, another fun round of Am I Leaking.
Pregnancy is so gross.
I was told to call next time this happened but I really do not want to go to triage to be told it's pee or cervical fluid or something and waste my evening. I'm going to go put our waterproof mattress pad and keep an eye on things.

Also, my kid has a black eye forming. Apparently another kid grabbed a fistfull of her fave as hard as he could at a playplace today. She keeps touching her fave and telling me "mean kid".

At one point dh offered me his hand to squeeze, I glared at him and declined.

I asked and my MW says they don't really do it except maybe at 39 weeks if I really want them to.
