I hope H's surgery goes FAST tgrimes! Sorry your struggling Sunny41! I sent my resume to a recruiter yesterday and they contacted me immediately. I met with them this morning and they have a job that I would be perfect for! It's super close to my house and more money than I currently make. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, since this was just the recruiter. But I do have my fingers crossed! That's exciting! Do they have a wine fridge in the boss's office? I feel like that's a nonnegotiable (j/k)

GL to H this morning, tgrimes! I hope he comes out more subdued than Chase did, but if not, I promise it won't last long. He should be feeling so much better soon. I'm sorry Sunny41. All the #metoo stuff was getting to me yesterday once I realized just how widespread harassment and assault truly are. And so many men - even decent ones - don't get it. So many hugs.

nam2013, Sounds like a sweet transition party. Is this a standard transition for a 4yr old or is it just that you found a different school? It was really sweet. It's standard that when kids turn four they go to school. Pre-school/daycare is up to four.

FX it is a good company and a good fit She told me the name of the company, I used to buy from them at a previous job and have contact with them at my current position. The pay is quite a bit more than I currently make as well. I need to make a few changes to my resume and send it back to her, to focus on the items that they sell, and show where I purchased same/similar, so it stands out.

I do know they have a Chiefs tailgate mini bus, so my guess is SOMEONE there parties, at least during football season!

I let my dog out and got distracted with L and he took off because he hates me. Really hoping he comes back shortly so I don't have to drag the kids out to track him down and try to lure him into the car. I'd just let him run cause he always comes back in an hour or so, but I worry someone will take him or he'll get hit by a car.

So do they stay in kindergarten until a certain age? Or is it the September that they turn five ?

tgrimes, I hope the procedure is quick and smooth for H! Sunny41, I'm sorry you're struggling. The news just all around sucks lately and I've decided to avoid as much as I can for a bit. chrisy01, Ugh! I'm sorry. I hope it passes quickly.

Back at work after a long weekend. I spent the first two hours running around and now I'm decompressing. My boss isn't in until noon today so it gave me time to catch up. joelies and other runners- what do you wear to run in the cold? I've been fine with capris and a tshirt with a sweatshirt over it but this morning it was in the 30's and I was pretty chilly. Also do you run in snow/ice? If so do you wear anything special for footwear? I want to continue running outside as long as possible.

I would run in snow but not ice.

This is how I feel about our lab...I think she could be happier elsewhere 😞 She (barely) tolerates the kids and obviously we just don’t have the time to spend with her that we once did (dog park, hours throwing the ball, etc). I will never have such a big dog again; they just require too much time/energy. In fact, I think once she goes to her great reward (and we’ve probably got another 5+ years) I’d be happy to take a break from pet ownership for awhile.

Morning! Y’all have been chatty today, page 6 already!
It’s sunny and chilly here today...finally! Not sure what’s on the agenda yet but I’m making loaded baked potato soup for dinner. Can’t wait.
I also have a sitter coming tmrw to stay with C while I do the field trip with B’s class, so I need to get the house in decent shape. (This is the first time I’ve left her with non-family so I’m trying not to let my imagination run wild 😬😳)

My mom is coming up today so I'm trying to fit everything in the world in today since I will have an extra set of hands. We're also going to talk about taking the boys to Disney together. We have a tumultuous relationship so I might be crazy or it might be really fun.

Ours is husky and white german shepherd. We call him our cat-dog. He wants attention but only on his terms. If you sit by him, he gives you this death glare and gets up and moves. Then stares you down from his new seat. It's comical.

wedding - This morning was a bit of a shock to the system, to put it mildly. For my run, I wore full length leggings, a wicking t-shirt, mid-weight gloves, a knit cap, and a light-weight (waterproof) Northface jacket. I should really invest in some better leggings - I've had my current pair for 10 years so it's not like I won't get my money's worth. LOL. As the weather gets colder, I swap the t-shirt for a thermal layer and I'll add windpants as a secondary layer for my legs. I also have a winter hat with ear flaps and when it dips well below freezing, I wear ski gloves because my bad circulation makes me prone to frostbite. All those things are used only for running because no matter how often I wash them, I swear they smell. Yikes. I have a neck warmer and a buff to cover my neck and up to my nose when necessary, but I'm more likely to just run in the basement now that I have that option. I do the same the day after a snow storm, but that's more because I don't trust the snow plow drivers. Ice isn't terrible as long as you're not actively turning or stopping on it, but again, I'm more likely to just stay inside now versus risking it. My really hardcore days are behind me. I also suspect those hardcore days have something to do with how bad my skin looks.

But I had to bite my tongue more than once.. Like when I ran down to the car to get HER phone charger for her and asked her to watch the boys in the hotel. When I got off the elevator coming back up they passed me in the hallway with their tractors. I stood there and waited to see how long it took her to notice. A FULL TWO MINUTES!
The rage. I had it.

Guys. I found my dog. Multiple times. He's in our subdivision but he keeps running up to me and then bolting before I can grab him! I tried a treat, a ball, seeing if he'd jump in the car, ect. So, now the kids and I are home and my dog is still on his adventure.
