I’m 2/3 of the way through my 3 hour glucose tolerance test. They skipped straight to the three hour because I had GD with M. I’ve been checking my blood sugars occasionally, and they’re all great. So I’m quietly hoping that I don’t have it, or don’t have it YET. Almost five months of finger pricks 4+ times a day, and peeing on ketone strips, and obsessing about food... does not sound enjoyable. I mean, I know I can do it. I did it for almost three months last time. But ugh. PRAISE ALL THE THINGS I DON'T HAVE GD. Whew. I'll have to retest at 28 weeks, but. WHEW WHEW WHEW. I'm just grateful for having Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (well, maybe, it's right at 29w) without having to be super low-carb. Thanksgiving with no carbs is... turkey. And brussels sprouts and beans. Tough. I did it, two years ago. But... tough. I promise, I'm still being low-carb and high-protein in the meantime, minus occasional treats.

Ok I'm putting this here since it involves a uterus. I just got AF 15 days after the start of my last one. Totally unexpected. I'm always about a 28 day cycle and it's been back for 7 months PP so not new and wonky. Haven't weaned. Any insights or just a random fluke?

Could be from the night weaning, I had a super regular period from 12 weeks PP up until when I started cutting back on nursing a few months ago and then skipped an entire period and my most recent one was over a week late, before I had weaned entirely. Even cutting out a nursing session or two a day can mess with your cycle, so I'd think it's probably related.

stringy, I’d also suspect it’s because she’s sleeping better. That’s started in the last month, yes? Totally plausible culprit. Sorry about your double trouble period month. That’s just unfair!

I had a doctor appointment today. It was nice to hear the heartbeat. I also got a flu shot and I brought up my sleeping issues with my doctor. She gave me a prescription for Ativan and said to use once in a while when things get really bad. She assured me it was safe once in a while buuuut I'm reluctant to take it. Has anyone here ever taken Ativan during pregnancy?

Has anyone here ever taken Ativan during pregnancy? You can call the Infant Risk hotline, they have extensive information about the safety of medications during pregnancy and breastfeeding. They also have a forum where you can post questions and their staff answers them. It's run out of Texas Tech University. Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm CT (806) 352-2519 www.infantrisk.com
