I think that in a forum like this people should feel free to use whatever language they'd like. I don't think that coarse language is particularly useful for public discourse across political povs, but I try to be cautious not to tone police other people. OMG, the timing of this with the Alexander-Murray announcement. So wait. Alexander-Murray is the Obamacare-preserving bipartisan leg? And Trump is saying it's dead? And is touting Graham-Cassidy? What? Did I understand that properly? He - in the same press conference - called the CSRs "insurer welfare" and that the ACA was dead and then 11 minutes later after Alexander-Murray announced they had a deal and he was asked about it, said he was supportive of it and had been working with Lamar. (The WH has since shot it down again.) It's another example of him agreeing with whatever the last thing presented to him was. But this time all during the same presser. ETA for exact language |

Can I rant....I try to advocate for health insurance protections because my son has cancer and will need to be monitored for life...and my family is so uncompassionate and doesn't get it. They think gen.der reassign.ment and abort.ion was mandated by ACA and this is what the EO is trying to undo. When I try to explain how my large group, self-insured policy excluded routine services (fine print), engaged in discriminatory practices and consumer protections were very poor, they told me it wasn't related to the EO. It is about getting around the EHBs which large group plans don't have to provide.
I just can't.
