Well, maybe it will be baby time for me today! We're at the hospital and admitted in L&D. I started getting pretty painful contractions about 13 hours ago, and they came every 10 minutes all night. Did not get any sleep. The contractions were getting difficult to talk through, even though they were staying 8-10 min apart.
At 7am I called my doctor's office and they told me to come in. At triage I was 3cm, so they decided to admit me. And now of course my contractions have basically stopped. OF COURSE THEY DID. I think we're just going to do pitocin and get this shown on the road.
Also - we had to have the maintenance guy at my building drive us to the hospital in his jacked up pickup truck, because it rained all night and the roads were so flooded we couldn't even drive our SUV to the hospital. The worst flooding of the year, at the very end of the rainy season, had to happen last night/today of all times. We tried at 7:30am to get to the hospital and had to turn around, because the water was so high. Tried again 2 hours later and barely made it through. Water is thigh high on our street. 😩
I swear I don't make this stuff up. 2017 has been out to get me, but we are here and I'm not leaving this place without a baby dang it!
Update - Baby should be here soon! Pitocin did the trick and got me to 6cm. Then, I got the epidural - which took 3 tries to place, but all is good now. They think about 1 more hr. Can't wait to meet baby!
Update 2 - He's here! Baby arrived At 2:01pm local indochina time on Saturday, Oct 14th (2:01am central time Saturday for all you on the other side of the pacific). 7lbs 6oz, 20 inches long. Everyone is doing well (apgars 9/10). He latched right away and we already got a breastfeeding session in . I am so in love 😍💕❤️😍💝
Poof!
