Was it someone here who posted how to download your post history from TCF? I'd like to save mine since it's the only place I have my birth stories and stuff. I followed the directions 3x to download my history, and it was never emailed to me. I went in and found my birth stories and jsut copied them and pasted them into a word doc.

Lakes, DS1 grew super slow and he was short and skinny. Our first pedi freaked the eff out on me about his lack of growing but our second one said she was being ridiculous and he was fine per meeting milestones and being healthy. I'm so glad that hasn't been an issue for us with W because I would just bury under the covers and not come out again. heybulldog, So glad to know he's doing better today!! Work is slow again. I expected more appointments since the weekend is over but maybe everyone is still out of town.

I posted this on the infant board too, but anyone have life insurance? I have a small default policy through my job, but I feel like DH and I should really have something outside of that. What are the different kinds? What kind do you have or suggest? What's your premium look like? YES. GET LIFE INSURANCE. MY H and I each have a 30yr term policy for 10x our salary (supplemental to the small policies that each of our employers carry for free - whihci is a one time payout of our annual salary, I think). We each pay about $650 in annual premium. The think is, most people think, well, as long as I can pay off the house/car/student load/whatever. But you need to think about continuing to live your lifestyle on a single income FOREVER. Sending your kids to school / college / camps, on a single income FOREVER. Medical bills for you/kids on a single income FOREVER.

Lakes I feel you on the swaddle. I've had L one arm out for like 2 weeks now because I keep giving up lol. Also, you're doing great. I'm bracing myself for similar at our appt because based on my own scale L has gone from like 75% down to 30% or something. We will see what they say..... We are driving home. N is singing and L just started fussing after refusing to eat at our stop yayyyyyy

gah. heybulldog quoted all of my awful typos. Sorreh. Hi, I'm around. Mostly forgetting to check in. We had a really busy weekend, and work is just PILING it on. I'm drowning. But we're happy and healthy. DD1 (almost 3) is starting to warm up to me a bit after being a total daddy's girl for the past full year. Baby A is largely ignored while we tend to big sister, but is content playing in her floor gym, blowing bubbles, shrieking and smiling. She was sleeping great, but is back to sleeping great 50% of the time. I'm so over pumping, but can't stop, won't stop. We're not even close to starting solids, but someone on here mentioned giving tiny "tastes." Maybe we'll do that. Like, stick my inger in my food and let her suck on it or whatever. But BLW will wait another two months, I think. Also, two recommendations: Book - Drop the Ball: Achieving Less by Doing MoreNetflix mini-series - The Keepers (editing to add a TW here for sexual abuse)

judyblume14, the keepers is on my list! Maybe one day I'll have time to watch shows again. I'm still trying to get through season two of Master of None.

Saw a promo for season FIVE of House of Cards yesterday. Guess I better find a few weeks to catch up on 3 and 4! The Keepers is 7 hour-long episodes. The girls magically napped at the same time yesterday, so we watched two. Then two more after bed time. Hopefully we can get through the last 3 tonight (hello, late bedtime for me)

Also - who's excited for GoT season 7?! (I thought we had a few fans in J'17... rinny maybe?)

ellabee I was just thinking about this, thank you for bringing it up. We really need to get more, I have 3x my salary at my job and a small one for H but we need more. How much is a good amount for a sahp? I mean obviously enough to cover daycare but what else?

How much is a good amount for a sahp? I mean obviously enough to cover daycare but what else? Good questions. I've seen 10x working salary to be a number that's frequently thrown around. I have one through my work for 1M, but I'd like to lock into something outside of that. I feel like maybe I just need to contact a few places and get some quotes. Once I get into the process I feel like I'll begin to understand what questions I should be asking. ETA:

rinny if that's the case I hope you have a chill doctor! I am not scheduling any more appointments with the new guy. Our first weight check is with my favorite doctor who we see for ds so I feel better about that.

Lakes yep I was right! She was super chill about it though. She said it can be shocking especially after having a large kid, but the same thing happened with her third.

I've been MIA the last couple days. I had IL's visiting. As always when they visit, it was both good and bad. They did babysit the kids so H and I could have a nice dinner so that was great. We haven't had one since before DS was born. Lakes that PA needs to slow his roll. Cereal in bottles is generally not rec'd anymore because it's a choking hazard. I only hear of it for reflux kids these days. I have a s/o question. We moved and had to switch doctors offices again. We found a family practice doc. She was really good with DD so we figured we'd just use her for DS as well. When we took him to his 2 week appointment the nurse made some comment about how they never see babies this young (the way she said it kind of rubbed me the wrong way but it definitely could have been PP hormones.) At his 4 month appt she recommend that we put cereal in his bottles. DS doesn't have reflux so there would be no reason for us to put it in his bottles. I kind of don't trust her anymore. If I didn't know better I would have put it in his bottles and he could have choked. I don't know if I'm making too big a deal about it or not. I'm wondering if I should switch to a pedi. instead of family practice. Do I switch DD too? I'm probably overthinking it but now I'm worried that maybe since they never see young kids that maybe they're going to miss something. TL/DR Doc made a questionable recommendation. Do I switch Docs because of it?

skye I think if you doubt their abilities even in the slightest you might want to change. Otherwise you will always be second guessing them.

ambiguousmango, thats a really good question! I know my husband as has life insurance on himself, something like $500,00 but Ive never thought about it for myself, as the SAHP. I suppose there would be a lot of things not taken care of if I wasn't around that would need to be paid for.

Made it back to MI from NJ! We stopped last night at my parents place so that made the drive much more manageable Unpacking, getting laundry started and putting the place back together a bit. DH couldn't come because he was swamped at work. It I was hoping he'd be able to tidy up a bit, but apparently not. ALL the side eyes...
