Are international good stories from lurkers welcome here? Ontario Introduces Bill to Create Safe Access to Abortion Services: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/safe-access-zones-1.4329367I almost cried in my car on the way home last week when they announced this in my city. Especially hearing this quote from our provincial AG on the radio: "Let me be very clear: ensuring women's safety is not a divisive issue". I've seen these protestors constantly around the city with their graphic signs, stopping people entering the clinics or walking by. I love seeing the government protecting women's rights to access these services without harassment, and protecting the workers as well. |
