Inspired from the board formerly known as Parenting: I like mincemeat pie.

I apologize for starting right off with a food UO, but y'all know I have strong opinions about little else.

Also, canned whipped cream is terrible. It's all air. Why have we deluded ourselves that this is legitimate whipped cream? Like, even respectable restaurants aren't ashamed to use it. THEY SHOULD BE.

Whipped cream is one of the easiest things to make ever. Seriously. That's why no self-respecting restaurant should use canned.

Canned whipped cream is fine. I make real whipped cream for proper desserts.

I will not eat a mediocre dessert. Unless of course I'm PMSing. All the mediocrity for 3-4 days a month. Don't judge me.

I hate coleslaw so when my family makes it my grandmother shreds a bowl of raw cabbage for me. This seems like more of a confession, but the uo is that coleslaw is gross and eating raw cabbage by itself is awesome

I would think those of you that live in states with legalized marijuana would understand the place in the world for squeeze cheese. I can't remember not regretting eating it, though.

I've only ever had EZ cheese. It was on a girl scout camping trip long ago, when we couldn't bring actual cheese for perishability reasons, and 12 year olds were given leeway in choosing meals.

Its not hard to make it from scratch, but it takes several hours to cook down. It's the one pie my husband and MIL always request I make for Thanksgiving. I'm not a huge fan. And yes, it's a spiced apple, raison, and currant pie.

Team Canned Whipped Cream over here, as long as it is the kind with actual dairy in it. Cabot whipped cream in a can is yummy. Probably stems from my childhood, when I would sneak whipped cream from the fridge and make caterpillars on my fingers with it. I do think it's a cop-out if decent restaurants can't at least get a whipped cream canister and make their own, but if I'm going to IHOP I'm going to expect it. I make real whipped cream at home more often than not, mostly because if I have a can of whipped cream in my fridge, I'm going to eat it. Cool Whip is nasty.

I have never tried mincemeat pie, but I probably would like it.
But real talk, Pecan pie is the best pie. That is definitely a UO among my husband's family. I made a pecan pie for Thanksgiving once and I think I was the only one to eat it. Really need to make pecan pie bars again, they are divine.

So you like mince that is just fruit and not mincemeat that contains offal? I'm confused.
