Is there something that is a mystery for you? Something you see and wonder about? Tell me about it.

There is a house in the next town that I pass by a lot. It's been vacant for at least 6 years. I'm guessing they had a flood for fire because the windows are boarded up with Service Master signs. At first they kept up the lawn and had signs for deliveries and stuff, but that stopped at least 4 years ago. It's not a huge lot, and is right next to other houses.
Why is it still there? Why not demolish it if they are not going to fix it? If I was a neighbor I'd be super upset.
(The same thing happened to a house in our town after a flood - essentially abandoned for several years but last year someone renovated and sold it so it's nice again). I guess I just don't understand. Either take the insurance money and rebuild/fix or demolish it and sell the land?

There is a gargantuan, unfinished new construction that I pass by on my way home every day. It's mostly hidden from the street, set far back and behind some trees. I cannot figure out what it's going to be. It's driving me crazy. It must be a residential home because it's too hidden to be a business. But it's so freaking big and not in a homey, aesthetically pleasing way. It's a giant rectangle. Apartments maybe? I need to know!

People just need to post signs. Inquiring minds want to know!

There was a big building going up near us that I was super intrigued about forever. Then... Aspen Dental. Whomp whomp.

They just slowly melt down to the ground over a year or two. It's fascinating and sad.

Oh yes. There's a new strip mall going in near me with like 8 stores and I'm very "what are they going to be?!?!" every time I drive by. I've considered stopping to ask if one of the workers know.

There is a woman who walks my road twice a day every day. She only walks on the wrong side of the road. I find this very strange and really want to know why. Dh thinks I'm crazy for even noticing.

My grandmother taught me to walk on the wrong side of the road if there are no sidewalks so that you can see the traffic coming at you. Basically, safety.

When we lived in our first apartment, there was a building on our street that was gutted and completely redone, and we were so curious what it was going to be. Then, they finally finished it and didn't put a sign anywhere on the building, just the building number above the door. And if you looked inside, there was just a receptionist desk and no identifying information. We were convinced it was the CIA or the Illuminati or something.
That apartment was also across the street from the Masonic Lodge, and we always wondered what went on in there. Sometimes dudes would show up wearing tuxes and we'd say they must have had their human sacrifice day.

I was always taught you are supposed to walk on the left side of a road so you can see traffic coming. She only walks on the right hand side. There are no sidewalks anywhere near where I live.
