If my pregnancy continues my OB wants me to take progesterone pills for the 1st trimester. I took the first one last night. She prescribed them without having me even checked for low progesterone, I’m guessing bc I am have a little spotting.
What can I expect as far as side effects?

I haven't had a pregnancy without progesterone, but I don't think my symptoms are really any different than other pregnancies without. It may have exacerbated symptoms earlier on than I'd have noticed? I think they say sore breasts and headaches (which I've had).

I've been on progesterone suppositories with both DD and now this pregnancy and my symptoms are/were very different each time so I don't really think I had any side effects.

I was prescribed oral progesterone this time. My spotting was caused by very low progesterone. It brought all my pregnancy symptoms back (they had gone away). The only extra I’ve noticed is some dizziness. Thankfully I take it at night.

I'm on injection and suppository this time, last time just injection. Both times just exaggerated normal symptoms. And the bloating.

I’m not trying to hijack the thread but does anyone have experience with the progesterone shot Makena? I was told that starting at 16 weeks I would need it weekly because of my previous pregnancy going into labor at 33 weeks
