O is now in preschool 3 mornings a week. As I’m sure is typical they want everything labeled with her name. It seems like there a million different options on Etsy. I’m looking for something that’s easy to put on, will stay on and also come off when I need it to. Anyone have recommendations?

We have whozems labels from amazon for things like cups, etc. They last forever but come off easily when needed.

When I worked in daycare, the best cup labels where these silicone bands with the kids' names on them. No idea what the brand was, and they may have been expensive (it was a ritzy neighborhood). But those things never faded or fell off (the names were 3D-imprinted in the silicone instead of printed on them) and could be removed easily for washing.

I get the 3DKoalaLabels for water bottles. They're affordable and I like them a lot.

For clothing iron on labels are great. They hold up well to washing and can be removed fairly easily. When I was a kid I had them in all of my jackets and we used them when C was in daycare too.

I used sharpie for a bit, but if you're passing things to another kid (and don't have a distinctive last name) it doesn't work well. Also, if you try to sell stuff later, it sucks to have them covered in sharpie. I use NameBubbles tagless unlaminated labels - they stick on clothes through the washing machine/dryer and also stick on food storage in the dishwasher. Works great. Peel off easy when you want them to. I like the unlaminated ones because they aren't stiff and don't bug H on his shirts. www.namebubbles.com/Clothing-Labels/Press-and-Stick-Clothing-Labels/Small-Round-Clothing-Labels/Product.aspx

I'm the awful parent who doesn't label things and doesn't stress it. DC labels all the kids water bottles. We all use the same lunch containers and no one at DC uses them, so that's easy. Clothing has never been a problem.

Clothing has never been a problem. I'm right there with you. DC labels wipes and disposables when they come in and whatever else they think needs a label. They've even stopped labeling z's cup. Kid likes to peel them off.

I'm Team Sharpie now, but I used to use Sticky Monkey labels. The labels are super cute and waterproof for the dishwasher but useless once L discovered she could peel it off. They supposedly stay on clothes too, but I never tried it.

Clothing has never been a problem. I'm worse than this. M has a bunch of hand me downs from the neighbors that are labeled with various names.
