mintyblueair I’ve tried to get into Wally Lamb before, but usually abandon quickly because I’m not sucked in. I haven’t read This Much I Know Is True, I’ll have to try that one and see if I have better luck.

I also like to track down books that I remember reading and liking in childhood/teen years and reading them again to see how I feel about them now.
I often can’t remember the titles though, so I have to search based on vague details that usually don’t lead to what I’m looking for. It’s probably better that way, because it might ruin the appeal to reread.

I haven’t read This Much I Know Is True, I’ll have to try that one and see if I have better luck. It's close to 900 pages so it's a big commitment, but I do think it's quite good! I wanted to read more in order to gain insight into the main character right off the bat.
