I've decided to make tomorrow my last day. I definitely won't be in Friday, and between DS's speech therapy and my Dr's appt I'd only be on for 3 hours on Thursday. AND they're moving our team to the new office this week, so I'd really really have nothing to do.

Got a text at 7am that my 39 week appt was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances and got rear ended on the way to work. Thank god the other driver is cooperating and there is minor damage, but my head really hurts. I haven’t had an accident in years so I stupidly don’t know what to do. On the phone with insurance now.

rachydc Oh no! That's horrible you got rear ended. You definitely need to call the police and ask for medical attention at the site of the accident - as you are 39 weeks pregnant. They should take this very seriously. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, on top of your appointment being cancelled. ETA - don't know if you are still at the accident site. But if you have left, you should go straight to the doctor's office and have them check you out - especially if your head is hurting.

Another day of prodromal labor over here - was up from 2-4am last night with contractions that were coming every 10 minutes on the dot and then just randomly stopped. It is so exhausting and annoying to be dealing with this - like - make up your mind body. Are you going to have this baby or what? I have an appointment with my MFM on Weds morning (so in like 12 hours). Can't wait to see if the contractions have accomplished anything.
In a piece of good news - we got DH's second round of TB test results back today, and they were negative! Phew! We will hear about DS's second round by the end of this week, and they are going to do my second round whenever I go into labor. So, at least it's still good news on the infectious disease drama in my life 😅😂

rachydc definitely call your dr about the accident. They may even want you to go on in to l&d to be checked out. Sorry you're dealing with that. I hope your head doesn't hurt for too long.

rachydc so sorry that happened! Definitely call the Dr. And maybe head to the ER for monitoring. That's so scary.

Still pregnant over here. My mom offered to hang out with me and DD today so we are going to walk the mall and have lunch, maybe pedis. I want this baby out so badly, I am beyond ready to meet it! This is our rainbow baby post 2 losses so it feels like I’ve been waiting extra long to meet him/her and I’m getting antsy

rachydc definitely call into your doc, I would guess they'll want to check things out. What a crummy way to start the day! Taitai yay for your H being tb free! I'm right there with you on the prodromal labour stuff. Hope we both have our outside babies soon! I'm screening my calls at this point, DHs family is insane about due dates, apparently none of them have ever been overdue? After DS was 8 days over, you'd think they wouldn't be quite as obsessive about it. Got my diaper bag packed today, hopefully I remembered everything! It's been awhile since I packed up for a newborn.

Still pregnant over here too. My due date is Friday and I'm just over it. After my visit to triage yesterday I've been obsessively checking my blood pressure. For some weird reason it seems to spike overnight. I would have thought the opposite since sleep = relaxed? Anyone with high BP experience? I plan to NOT take Unisom tonight to see if that affects it at all.

Any other things not feeling well?

I went in for my 39 week appointment yesterday and my BP was elevated for the second week in a row. 130s/90 so not too high. They kept me three hours for monitoring. For most of the three hours I was at 120s / 80s so they sent me home. Last night it spiked to 140/98 at one point and scared the crap out of me! Whoops, meant for ssm.

In L&D hooked up to the stupid machines and incredibly uncomfortable. They have to monitor me for FOUR hours. There’s no tv or WiFi and my battery is at 60 %, I can’t eat either. Baby looks good, moving around a lot. Kinda wish I just went into work I’m having flashbacks of my looooong induction and now I’m kinda thinking this baby can stay in as long as he’d like to have to avoid this waiting game all over again.

chitownsully mine always rose at evening/night but was low in the morning. I completely understand the worry though as I was always taking it at home, Walmart, CVS... because it would fluctuate from what the OB had rachydc L&D is right where you’re supposed to be - sorry about the lack of wi-fi and TV. Not a great start to your Tuesday but knowing babe is ok is most important

rachydc, I'm sorry you're going through this but I'm glad baby looks ok so far. Re: your phone battery, do you have the option to turn on a low battery power mode? Not sure what type of phone you have but I use that option on my iPhone often.

Had DD2’s 1week appointment today. Everything looks great except her coloring. She’s still a little yellow so I brought it up with the doctor and she agreed a “quick” blood test might be needed just to check. So off to the hospital we went to get the test - it ended up taking over an hour by the time it was all said and done. We should know this evening but in the meantime Doctor said to nurse and sit in the sunlight indirectly (which is pretty much nonexistent today).

I think my O17er is the loudest sleeper on the face of the planet. He's a grunter, so every time he moves or wakes, he starts grunting. He's like my little piglet. Poor H had to go sleep in the guest room last night so he could get some rest.

Early in pregnancy it was 110s / 60s but has crept up over the last few months, slowly. Happened with DD too.

rachydc That sucks, I hope the headache is nothing, glad your getting checked out. +1 to setting the phone to low power mode. Can you catch a nap? Taitai Yay for negative results! DD is at daycare and the IL's have been sent on a grocery shopping mission. I'm using this opportunity to relax alone in my house and to take a nap. I'm living my best pregnant life right now. I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow and I will basically be the same 38 +3 as I was DD when I was told I was being induced. So I'm enjoying my potential last afternoon alone.

Seriously! I'm so mad at the dumb driver! I hope s/he feels guilty as shit for rear ending a pregnant lady. I'm so glad you're in the hospital though. I did the same thing and didn't know any better and my ob scolded me for not calling her immediately. They told me that any jolt no matter how minor can cause placenta abruption. I was also told 4-6 hrs monitoring but ended up having to stay for 20 hrs because I was having contractions. I didn't sleep a wink due to being strapped up and every time I moved a little the tracker device would move too sooo annoying. Glad to hear baby is doing well and you get to go home soon. Also keep a close watch on your headache too.

Also forgot to add, ask the nurses if anyone of them has a charger you could borrow? I had a nurse offer to ask the staff but by that time hubs was already coming to bring me a charger and extension cord 😬 Aldo the hospital I was at had fanceh tablets for their patients

Thanks for thinking of me guys! I have 1 hour left then hopefully the doc will come in, strip my membranes and I’ll be FREE! I actually wish I could have napped here but every move by me or baby threw off the BP monitors and we’d have to readjust. I think that’s the biggest pain in the ass. duskymonkey youre exactly right, I’m basically only here for them to monitor my placenta. I can’t believe it takes so long. Seems like something an ultrasound could knock out., I was going to ask for a charger but decided to just put my phone down for a bit every now and then on airplane mode. I’m at 35% , livin on the edge! Haha

Finally starting to feel like a human between the pain, immobility and dealing with the exact same issues with DS - both are jaundiced so I've been in this exhausting insane feeding, supplementing and pumping schedule until my milk shows up. It finally did on Friday to my relief but still having to Keep on pumping after every feed to try to keep up with baby's demand. It's just been rough however recovery this time feels so much better than with DS so I should be thankful and also the fact that it didn't take 12 days for my milk to show up. Hoping to reduce the feeding and pumping schedule this week after we do a weight check tomorrow and another Saturday. On a good note, I haven't touched my Norco and have been alternating presc. Strength ibuprofen and otc Tylenol. So if anyone has a CS and want to avoid narcs for pain try the ibuprofen and acetaminophen alternately.

Taitai, hurray for good blood test results! And i completely feel you on the prodomal labor front. I think that the emotional side of getting our hopes up, then everything stopping, not to mention the sleep deprivation, is worse than the physical, which is also not fun.
