I found the heartbeat beat so fast and easy tonight with my doppler. ❤️❤️ I love that sound. I feel the most connected to this pregnancy during that. I’m sure it’ll be more real when baby is kicking enough for me to feel.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 11+3, edd apr 28. I said this in another thread but my edd was pushed back with the dating us and I tend to go overdue so you're stuck with me. Sorry. 2. Symptom check: Nausea is getting a bit better finally. It's weird that it's mainly afternoon-evening instead of mornings. Migraines are terrible - had one all last weekend 3. What and when is your next appointment? Oct 19 - NT scan 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? 5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Any kind of baby animal.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 7 weeks 2. Symptom check: Concerningly few. Maybe some fatigue, occasional heartburn, very mild nausea. I was super sick with my daughter so I'm kind of freaked out this time. 3. What and when is your next appointment? Not until October 31st. It's just the first prenatal visit so I'm hoping an ultrasound will be soon after. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? 5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Not sure, I haven't been to a zoo in years. DH and I did take DD to the fair this weekend and she was obsessing over the cows lol.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 10w6d 2. Symptom check: nausea, exhaustion, and my anxiety is through the roof. 3. What and when is your next appointment? 10/23, first appointment with the OB. I get a pelvic exam and will discuss the results of all the blood work and NIPT I had taken yesterday. I also will be asking his opinion on a scheduled c-section for me. My first was vaginal, but there were so many complications and I ended up in the ICU. I can’t go through that again. 4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I echo all the comments about not feeling as connected to this pregnancy. I’m just constantly worried about something going wrong. We also haven’t told our son yet. Maybe it will be better once he knows? 5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Orangutans. We have two baby/ toddler ones and they are adorable. It’s fun to watch them interact with the rest of the group. And their facial expressions are just so similar to humans. It’s fascinating. 1. EDD/How far are you now? 8w5d
2. Symptom check: Diclegis is helping a lot. One day puke free! I am hopeful this is going to work for me. Other than morning sickness I'm extremely tired.
3. What and when is your next appointment? 10/25. I had the big blood draw already and they called with those results. They said I was group b strep positive, which really confused me because we didn't do an exam at the appointment, just the blood draw..... so I guess I need to ask about how they determined that and what that means for delivery.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Nope!
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Giraffes. We took our son to the zoo a couple weeks ago and had so much fun.

foxmulder how interesting about the strep b thing. I wonder how they know? Here, at least at the time of my last pregnancy, they don’t routinely screen for it. Low and behold 10 days after my fully dilated labour then emergency c section, I’m septic with a bad infection and it turns out to be strep b. I was so angry because it could have been passed on to my DD and she would have been very very sick. I’m definitely going to insist on screening and antibiotics this time. The things you learn...

I'm honestly wondering if they mixed up my results. I'm severely anemic and the numbers they gave me for my other results were about triple what they normally are. They do the strep b test here at like 30 some weeks and it's a vaginal swab. I would have known if they did that LOL. The whole thing puzzles me. Are you not in the US? I think it's is a routine test for most places here.

I’m going with a new OB this time and I noticed in his paperwork that he recommends screening for it, which is good, but it’s not standard the way other tests are. Seems like it should be, I could have lived without considering I was back in hospital for 5 days on IV antibiotics with a newborn.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 6/20, 4w
2. Symptom check: just crampy from time to time
3. What and when is your next appointment? None yet. Called my MW to schedule and they just have to run my stats past the OB to get the ok for me to go straight to the MW’s. They should be calling me tomorrow to schedule an app.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I too feel so disconnected from this pregnancy. I’m excited and incredibly happy, it just feels so different than it did with DD. I don’t feel that instant love like I did when I got the positive test with her. And I’m struggling to wrap my head around how I can love another one as much as I do her, but I’ve been assured many many times I will. So I’m just hoping once I see this baby on the US and hear the HB I will feel more connected.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? The otters! They’re so cute!
