How far along: 8w+5d Symptoms: nausea is steady, getting better at controlling it. This week I’m just so breathless. Walking up stairs carrying DD makes me almost feint. Puffed after a few steps up a slope. Appointment: NIPT scan and bloods on 25 October. I’ll be 10+6 which is what they recommended for the test. Sharing: I told my parents on the weekend! So good for someone to know. They didn’t react that much, but mum texted me later saying they’re thrilled so perhaps it was just a shock. We’re 2/3rds through building a house so they probably thought we’d leave it til it’s done. Animal at the zoo: I really hate zoos with cages. So sad. There is a great place right near our house that is a koala sanctuary where they hang out in trees and you can also feed the kangaroos. They have farm animals too. I know, such an Aussie thing. But we don’t see koalas in the wild much either so it’s cool. DD loves it. She walked up and petted an emu the other day! No fear.

1. EDD/How far are you now? May 6th, 10 weeks.
2. Symptom check: Ugh. Nausea, vomiting, insomnia. It's actually not been quite as bad the last couple of days but still sucks.
3. What and when is your next appointment? 2nd to last week in October, check up.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? A friend gave me some maternity outfits (yay free clothes!) and there was a Halloween maternity shirt. I think that's going to be part of our announcement.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? We haven't been to the zoo in a long time. They have wild peacocks roaming around and they terrify DS. I guess I like the sea otters and alligators.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 8wks, 3d
2. Symptom check: Headaches that don't seem to be relieved by anything happening almost daily. Nausea but the Diclegis has improved that. Fatigue and sore boobs.
3. What and when is your next appointment? 10/24 I go for bloodwork. 11/6 I have my NT Scan.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Not really. My mind is kind of all consumed with this fire disaster in my area.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Elephants. We went to this amazing animal sanctuary for a Baby Moon before DD was born. They take in elephants retired and surrendered from circuses and show biz. We got to help feed them dinner and put them to bed. And from our cabin we got to watch them play in the morning. And one walked up to our cabin with a trainer and a basket of fruit for us to feed him.

1. EDD/How far are you now? June 20th, 3w7d
2. Symptom Check: I’ve got nothing so far.
3. What and when is your next appointment? I haven’t called my dr yet bc the office was closed yesterday. I’m guessing she will have me in around 6-8 weeks.
4. Anything you’d like to share? I’m trying to be more like I was when I was pregnant with C but I’m finding it so hard. I’m super nervous and although I’m happy to be here, I’m also afraid to becoming invested in the group. I started to do this back in May and then suddenly it was all over.
5. QOTW: what’s you’re favorite zoo animal to see at the zoo? I absolutely love giraffes. The way they run is the best! (I Lived in Africa for 6 years so I have been on several safaris to see them as well)

1. EDD/How far are you now? - still unknown. I'm thinking around 4-6 weeks though. I'll find out in 2 weeks though when we have our dating ultrasound!
2. Symptom check: sore boobs and nausea is starting to rear it's ugly head now and again
3. What and when is your next appointment? 1st OB appt and ultrasound is 10/23
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I'm just excited to be here. I'm trying not to compare pregnancies but it's hard. I pretty much had nausea right away with DD and with very few symptoms, my mind is going crazy.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? I love penguins and the otters. We took DD to the zoo this past summer and she lit up when we saw the giraffes.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 5/04/2018, 10W5D
2. Symptom check: A bit nauseated. Plus my right hip and leg are bothering me this morning. I need to stretch them out.
3. What and when is your next appointment? I have an appointment on 10/18 to go over NIPT results (I will see them online first). I also have to ask about the flu shot.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I'm feeling this pregnancy so much more. Older plus a toddler is making it difficult to get through the days sometimes!
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Tigers. They are just so beautiful.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 5/4/18, 10w4d
2. Symptom check: So much nausea, fatigue and some headaches.
3. What and when is your next appointment? Waiting for the office to call to schedule my NT scan. Hoping to go next Wednesday because I already have a sub for a training I have to go to.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I’m more than 25% of the way to the finish line! Also, we told our families this weekend. It’s nice to not have to hide it anymore, especially since I feel like shit.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Elephants; I’ve always loved them, but it’s especially fun now with V. We saw them over the summer throwing dirt on their back and spraying water, and he still talks about it.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 5/12 - 9 weeks, 3 days
2. Symptom check: Nausea but the unisom+B6 has helped a lot. Occasional headaches. Exhaustion. Just generally don’t feel that well.
3. What and when is your next appointment? 12 week appt had to be moved to 10/20 (I’ll be 10+6) because I ended up getting jury duty (womp womp) on my originally scheduled time (10/31). They already took 7 vials of blood, so I don’t know, going over that, and then I think some more blood for the genetic testing.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Not much going on. I wish I was as excited this go around. It’s weird. I think I’m just so preoccupied with my daughter that I can’t focus on this pregnancy the way I did with hers. I’m having Mom guilt and feel like I’m jipping this baby.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? The elephants.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 5/8, 10 weeks today!
2. Symptom check: My boobs hurt and I can't go braless. Besides that, I actually feel okay for the first time in a while.
3. What and when is your next appointment? 12 weeks- 10/24
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? I've been super bloated, and have looked 20 weeks pregnant for a while. DS told me I had a baby in my belly before we told him. He has now told his entire class at daycare, and so every pick up I have 3 year olds asking to see "his" baby in my belly. It is cute, but so weird haha.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? We like the elephants! They recently made a new area for them and it includes a pond for swimming, and it's pretty neat to watch.

Risscaboobs I’m having the same feeling with this baby. Part of it is the distraction of the toddler, but another piece is that adding a second kid is (for me) very stressful as well as super exciting. I know how having V impacted H and I, so there’s so much more to obsess about with adding another baby. I’m also still in that place of not being able to imagine loving, knowing and bonding with someone the way I do with V. Other friends with 2+ kids assured me this is really normal, but I still feel bad. I hoping as i start to show more and feel kicks that I feel more connected.

And YES, to almost stressing about how this will change MH’s and my dynamic again and how this is going to impact Lex.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 6/16/18, 4w3d
2. Symptom check: so far it's just symptoms from the progesterone. So I'm tired, bloated, and my boobs are terribly sore. I have noticed the last few days that I'm starting to get nauseas if I'm hungry.
3. What and when is your next appointment? 3rd and final beta tomorrow.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? It's weird to have family already know. We discussed me becoming a gestational carrier with them earlier in the process. My H called MIL out on not being supportive. When she found out she just said she was worried, couldn't even say congratulations.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Turtles

5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? I love the Red Pandas! They are so cute and remind me of cats.

1. EDD/How far are you now? 5w2d

3. What and when is your next appointment? Next Thursday, first ultrasound.

5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? The giraffes ! I always loved them and seeing them wild when we went to South Africa and did a safari I love them even more. My local zoo is super depressing for the giraffes though, their box is so tiny 😞

No, his parents were in Ivory Coast but his mom delivered in France. He did 3 more countries near Central Africa before they moved back when he was 13. He loved our trip to South Africa and has been telling his parents they need to go. They all have pretty bad memories of their last years and because of the civil wars they lived, but South Africa kind of reconciled him with the continent and he wishes the same for his parents.

3. What and when is your next appointment? Halloween is 12 week, blood test.
4. Anything you’d like to share with the group? Had my ultrasound finally! All is well, I was relieved to see the baby squirming around. It sounds like I may have some spotting yet as a result of the implantation (or she said it would dissolve). I am finally letting myself be excited.
5. QOTW: What's your favorite animal to see at the zoo? I like the gorillas.
