I always have a million questions so I'm putting some of them here. Hopefully others benefit from my questions as well. First time mom syndrome is real peeps!
1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly?
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We've only gone to the park and to the doctor's so far so I'm worried if I take him with me somewhere he will cry.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule?
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors?
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? We have 2 options for part time daycare for a reasonable price so I'm considering it because I worry about DH trying to work from home and be with J.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? Poor J struggles and grunts and goes days without pooping and I just feel awful about it. It's so sad trying to watch him poop.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe?
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO?
think that's it for now! I just have all of these questions in my head all of the time!

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly? No and it's driving my family crazy. I'm sorry but I'm not comfortable driving 2.5 hours with an infant right now. My parents have come down to see him multiple times and my brother met him at the hospital. Everyone else can wait until Thanksgiving.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We've only gone to the park and to the doctor's so far so I'm worried if I take him with me somewhere he will cry. We haven't but my plan is to start at the grocery store in a carrier. He's not thrilled with a stroller and the infant seat isn't his favorite place either.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule? J has no schedule but I'd like to get him on one by 3 months but have no clue how to do it. My dad was trying to help me with this since he got my cousins baby on a nap schedule but she's a little older.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors? J naps in the RNP in the living room. I'm thinking we may need to move the RNP into his room for a while as I feel like DH and I whisper and tip toe. Our floors are so creaky and they often wake J up. It's so annoying. I'd like J to be in his crib by 3 months for naps but right now he will NOT nap there.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? We have 2 options for part time daycare for a reasonable price so I'm considering it because I worry about DH trying to work from home and be with J. We have 2 centers I'm considering because the price is right and I don't want DH to be overwhelmed.
Currently J takes a bath with DH 3 days a week and loves it. He e hates bathing alone
8. Nope. Too nervous. We are going to dinner oct. 26 because my parents boomed a weekend down hefe. I'm nervous but I trust them more then anyone and J will be 9 weeks by then.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly? Not far and just driving. We haven't gone more than an hour from home.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We definitely go out in public all the time at have since she was about four weeks. I have taken her to the grocery store, Target, a couple restaurants (only quick chain restaurant places though, nothing nice), and on a lot of walks. I have taken her in her carrier, stroller, and in her car seat. It has never really been a problem but I always go in with the mindset that if she freaks I'm just going to abandon my cart or meal or whatever and leave. I've only gone to restaurants with MH though so if I have to leave with her he can handle the check. I honestly think getting out of the house early helped me from getting really stir crazy.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule? No, but I'd love to get her on one, I just don't know how. It doesn't help that my schedule is ridiculous.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors? She usually naps in her lounger in whatever room I'm in but the last few days I've tried putting her in her crib for naps and she's done ok. If she's really out she really doesn't wake up to noise but she will if she's not fully asleep yet.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? No daycare for us. We haven't needed it yet because mh works nights so he's home during the day.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? She really didn't for a while but the last couple days she seems to be having some trouble and isn't pooping as often as she has been. She seems uncomfortable at times like she's trying to poop but can't, I hate it
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe? She bathes in a little bath tub with an infant sling in it. She loves baths but cries a lot when we take her out and dry her off, not sure if she's cold or just wanted to stay in the bath. I usually bathe her every other day but have gone three days a couple times.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO? No, we haven't but I feel like we should soon. If we do I'll ask my mom to watch her.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly?
No. But, we drove to RI with T for my grandmother’s funeral when she was like 2.5 months. She slept most of the way there and back. She also slept a lot while she was there. My mom sat in the back seat with her, so that helped. We also used white noise on our phone to calm her when needed.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go?
We've gone to the mall, zoo, grocery shopping and to stores. We usually take the stroller and sometimes she fusses if we are not moving. We wear her at the grocery store. We usually try to plan outings around bottles, so we don’t have to feed her while we are out. We’ve had no major problems.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule?
I don’t think you can really have a schedule yet. And, even with T we never had a set routine. But, we never had to wake her up at a specific time (since H is home) so we always let her wake up when she wanted to and then the rest of the day was based on the time she woke up. Once she got a little older, bedtime was always a set time and she’d go in the crib at that time.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors?
In the early morning R often sleeps in the living room in the swing. Throughout the day it’s either the swing or in her crib in her room. At night it’s in our bedroom in the bassinet. Sometimes her sleep is lighter and she’ll open her eyes, make noises or fuss when she hears noises or just because. She’ll go back to sleep with the paci, if she’s not ready to get up.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center?
N/A
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping?
R usually poops at least once in 24 hours. Sometimes it seems like she’s in pain until she poops. Did you ask the doctor about it? I thought they’d recommend juice or something to get a baby to poop if it had been over 48 hours? I don’t really remember at what age, since it was never an issue for T.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe?
We use one of those cheap plastic tubs with the two sides. I just took the newborn sling off today, because H kept telling me she needed it (despite him never bathing her alone). I bathe her about twice a week. We aren’t huge on the shower unless we are away from home - they’re slippery.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO?
We went to my brother’s wedding and MIL watched R. We also left her with my mom for T’s physical therapy evaluation. We’ve really only left T with our mother’s, but that’s because we don’t really have anyone else. We’ve only left T overnight three nights since birth, but we haven’t really had a reason to other than those three times. Plus, she was super bitchy after the last time she slept at MIL’s, so we are not motivated to do it again - MIL crammed too much stuff in a short time and didn’t give her rest time. We need to find a babysitter.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly?
No travel yet.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go?
Yes, we’ve been to a few places. She either stays in the car seat or I wear her. She’s good for the most part but sometimes she fusses a little.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule?
I personally think it’s too early for schedules. Right now P is kind of on her own self-made eating/sleeping schedule but I know it can change in an instant. DS wasn’t really on any sort of schedule until he was 4ish months I think? And daycare really helped facilitate that.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors?
99% of the time she naps on me, which I acknowledged earlier today is a problem I should probably work on fixing. She’ll nap for a little while in the RnP in whatever room I happen to have it in, but she definitely naps so much better on me (whether i’m sitting on the couch or wearing her). Loud noises don’t really seem to bother her, probably because DS has been yelling in her face since day 1 😆
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center?
P will be going to the same daycare DS does, which is a center. We toured a bunch of centers and in-homes and happened to like this particular center the best.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping?
Newp, we definitely don’t have that problem here lol.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe?
We use a baby tub with the newborn insert and put it inside the bathtub. H is in charge of bath time (for both kids) because it stresses me out. Right now she gets baths about twice a week.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO?
Yes, once, out to dinner for our wedding anniversary. My parents came down for the weekend to visit so they babysat. I’m hoping we can go out again when they come up the beginning of November. We don’t really have anyone in the area we feel comfortable asking to babysit, so we pretty much just rely on my parents when they decide to come visit (they live 2.5 hours away).

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly?
-when H was 2 weeks old we traveled to North Jersey, about 2.5 hours away. We spent the morning there and on way home stopped by my parents too. It was a long day. It went well, the baby did great. He slept and we stopped once each wU for me to feed him. As far as routine, didn't really have one so it was fine. We drove there. I prefer not to fly anywhere with baby until shots are given.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We've only gone to the park and to the doctor's so far so I'm worried if I take him with me somewhere he will cry.
-it's crazy, with our first we waited over a month to go out. Our first trip was to Shoprite at 8pm on a random week night. We were so nervous. This time around we have been out. No malls or overly crowded indoor places. It's hard not to go out with s toddler. We have been going somewhere every weekend as family. We did the zoo, restaurants (off peK hours), fall festivals, apple/pumpkin picking and the beach/boardwalk. We are suppose to meet my brother, fiancé, her daughter and my parents Saturday at sesame place. I'm nervous!
We use stroller of infant carrier. It depends o what or where we are going. Hudson is funny with both, I never know what he will be content in.
He cries and honestly I'm over it. I used to so worried, but this time around I realized it's natural and it happens. It doesn't matter what age..
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule?
-not really. I mean when I look at the tracker I see patterns, but nothing thT stands out. I didn't have a solid schedule with DS1 until after 3 months! I am sure it will be harder for me this time becuase of my toddler.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors?
Haha on me.. well sometimes.. usually though, he is on mamaroo or swing. He does well in his pack n play. The rock n play is hit or miss. I am going to start in the next 2 weeks to incorporate crib naps. Hoping that goes well.
He isn't too bothered by noises. We have my toddler, a german shepherd and a beagle. It is never quiet in this house.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? We have 2 options for part time daycare for a reasonable price so I'm considering it because I worry about DH trying to work from home and be with J.
No daycare as I stay Home. We will be sending DS1 to school and it's a private school.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? Poor J struggles and grunts and goes days without pooping and I just feel awful about it. It's so sad trying to watch him poop.
-I am noticing it more lately, especially in the morning. I feel bad for him! Sometimes I'll give gas drop and it seems to push things through.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe?
-It changes each week. Some times every few days and sometimes every other day. He loves bath time. We usually give him bath in his tub, but sometimes I'll bring him in with me.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO?
-if you want to count my hospital stay than yes. I was admitted and my mom watch both boys over night. I knew she would be fine, but I had major anxiety. I never had anyone watch DS1 over night alone. It was hard for me.
I much rather my mom watch the boys over my MIL. She is too clingy. My DH and I probably need a night out, but it will be a while. Family also isn't close.

cwbh928 you must be somewhat close to me if you’re talking about being 2.5 hours to Jersey and going to Sesame Place. I’m in central PA.

These are good questions king26. I wish baby H would sleep tonight but since he won't, I'll answer these. 😉 Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly? No. Nothing longer than half an hour. Considering a 3.5 hour drive to NJ next month. 2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We've only gone to the park and to the doctor's so far so I'm worried if I take him with me somewhere he will cry. We've gone to several restaurants, church, birthday party at a farm, etc, but haven't done the mall or grocery stores yet bc of germs. I also do the stroller strides exercise program. He is in his stroller for most places we go, and I bring the Ktan as well. He's had some meltdowns during stroller strides but I gave him his paci and he was okay. I had to nurse him during church and I hate nursing in public. He wouldn't calm down, so dh walked him for awhile. 3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule? I think it's too early for a true schedule. I generally try to get him to follow the pattern of Eat, Activity, Sleep, Your Time (I think that's from baby whisperer), but I still feed on demand. He will be going to daycare in two weeks so that will institute a schedule. 4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors? Mostly on the boppy lounger in the living room but also on me. I'd love to transition to the crib. He doesn't usually wake up when we are louder, which is good bc toddler. He did wake up last night when toddler screamed bloody murder bc I dared to wash his face. 5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? We have 2 options for part time daycare for a reasonable price so I'm considering it because I worry about DH trying to work from home and be with J. DS1 is in an in home daycare (private but licensed) since 12: weeks, and we looove them. We found them from a recommendation from a friend, and then I interviewed her before we started using them to make sure I liked her and felt safe (I found suggested questions online and she humored me, lol). DS2 will start in two weeks when I return to work. 6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? Poor J struggles and grunts and goes days without pooping and I just feel awful about it. It's so sad trying to watch him poop. Yes!! It makes me sad too. He goes every 3-5 days and is uncomfortable near the end of that time frame. Pedi said it was normal for a breastfed baby and that she had seen up to 14 days. I try warm baths, belly rubs, and bicycles. 7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe? We have a little bathtub. He didn't like the infant sling, so I took it out. He likes it when I drape a warm wet towel over his belly as he bathes. I do every 2-4 days. He gets stinkier than DS1 did, lol 8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO? Nope, but we are going out in about two weeks to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My sister in law who lives 20 min away will watch them. She has 4 kids and is our go-to sitter.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly? We are taking our first road trip next week. It's 6 hours normally, so I expect it to take longer bc of stopping to breastfeed and what not.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We've been taking her out since 4-5 days old. Mostly because I have DS to take to preschool, speech therapy, etc. I take her to run errands while he's at school, and we went to a pumpkin patch farm last Fri. She usually goes in the wrap but sometimes if she's asleep I'll leave her in the car seat and use the stroller.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule? No. We're going with the flow. DS didn't get on a schedule until around 3-4 months old. He naturally fell into one.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors? She naps wherever- in the carrier, pack n play bassinet in the living room, Rock n play.. BC I am home with DS she generally goes where we are in the house. She sleeps through noises (including our obnoxious dog barking). If your baby is waking, try a noise machine. We still use one with DS.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? I stay at home, so no daycare.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? No, she just has gas trouble sometimes.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe? We use a plastic baby tub about 2x a week. Once she's sitting well months from now, I'll just bath her in the regular tub with DS.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO? Not yet. We are going to a wedding next weekend but baby is going with us (bc I was not about to worry about pumping at a wedding). I also haven't started pumping yet or tried a bottle, that's on my to do list.

king26 I love all your questions, I often wonder the same thing. 1. We drove 3 hours to CT about 2 weeks ago. The first night was rough for E, but the 2nd night they were both fine. 2. I've gone out with both of them alone, all 3 kids require me and DH bc DS1 tends to run off. We take them in a double stroller and carry our ergo just in case because E likes to be worn sometimes. For all 3 kids, we have the double stroller with a piggyback for DS1. 3. They are on schedules, it's the only way we survive. We worked their schedules around their feedings which we are somewhat able to schedule because I EP. I don't think it's too early at all, just keep in mind with growth spurts they may get thrown off. 4. They typically nap in the livingroom in the PnP or a swing. They typically don't wake, I find E does better when there id noise around. 5. DS1 is in daycare at a center, we adore it and would absolutely send all 3 kids there if that was a financial option. DS1 goes 3 days a week and he flourished tremendously when he started going there shortly after his 1st birthday. We have a part time nanny for the twins. 6. E has trouble pooping sometimes. She poops at least once per day but often grunts and wiggles a lot. I just rub her belly and do bicycle kicks. I also carry her so gravity can help. 7. The twins bathe everyday in a tub in the kitchen sink one at a time. It's part of their routine between their morning and early afternoon feedings. They love it and sleep for a long stretch after baths and a bottle. 8. DH and I have gone out once so far, we went to dim sum. It's hard to have someone watch 3 kids but my mom watched the twins and my teenage nephew came by to entertain DS1. We're hoping to go out more often, hopefully catch a movie soon.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly?
We flew this past weekend. He did great! Once we were seated I just bf him until he fell asleep and he slept the whole hour and a half ride. The tiring and stressful part was getting through security with all our shit. We did better on the way back bc we had a better idea of what they wanted us to do, but I still don't know if I could do it alone yet.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go?
Yep. For my sanity. Grocery store, target, Costco, carter's, buy buy baby... we've gone to 3 Restaurants together with him but I can't go alone. That would end in disaster I think.
The trips are okay. I always keep him in his car seat and the stroller but bring the carrier so when he freaks out I put him in there and then he calms down. He had a huge poop explosion when we went to carter's one day, that was fun, changing him in the trunk of the car 🙈 But we survived.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule?
Nope. I let him do whatever he wants. I wouldn't even know how to put him on one. If I try to feed too early he will snack and then he starts a snacking cycle and that's 50x worse, so eh.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors?
He naps in his pnp (in our room), crib (hisroom), swing (living room),, and on me (either of those three rooms), and rarely the rnp these days. He is just not an rnp fan lately. He sleeps through most noises but I still try to be a little quiet. I don't think any noises have startled him awake yet.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center?
We are trying to find a nanny and it makes me so nervous. Which is ironic bc I worked as a nanny for several years after college and for several families. But we are interviewing people this week.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping?
No, the longest N has gone without a poop is about 24h and then it was an explosion.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe?
We have a tub with an infant insert. We are awful at bathing. We do like once a week. 🙈 I'll give him a wipe wipe down sometimes.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO?
Does going to get takeout count? My mil was here so we both went to pick up takeout. That's it. We don't have anyone here to watch him. Maybe one day one of my coworker friends will (she offered) but there's no point right now. My boobs start to hurt after two hours lately and I'm so tired I'd rather just snuggle and sleep. I do miss being able to go to a relatively nice place and eat some delicious food and just enjoy a meal without rushing. Ah, motherhood.

happyfeet9 What do you consider a schedule? Like, you feed them at specific predetermined times and they nap at specific times?

happyfeet9 What do you consider a schedule? Like, you feed them at specific predetermined times and they nap at specific times? I track most things in a baby app so their "schedule" is loosely based on their own patterns of when they eat and sleep. They both eat anywhere from every 2.5 - 3 hours and the times of day are surprisingly regular, so I work in activities (baths, tummy time, walks, pumping schedule) from there. They usually nap for around two hours between feedings, so that's also factored in. They have daily baths in the morning before their 2nd bottle so they will usually fall asleep soon after. If they don't, we have tummy time or I put them in swings to read/sing to them or look at toys. When they wake up after an afternoon nap, they feed and go for a walk. It doesn't always work out and I modify based on their moods or the weather, but with 2 newborns and a toddler who also has a routine, we need to have some consistency to survive the day.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly?
We've only driven about 2 hours from home. I fed her before we left and she slept the whole way.
2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? We've only gone to the park and to the doctor's so far so I'm worried if I take him with me somewhere he will cry.
Tons. Parks, zoo, children's museum, grocery shopping, restaurants, Target, etc. If it's a long trip (shopping, playground, etc) I wear her in the Ergo with the insert. If it's a quick run into the store, I'll leave her in her car seat. We also have the snap and go stroller for the car seat and have used that a few times.
I say go now...he might cry, but that will always be a possibility. It doesn't really get easier than going out at this age. But I know that's easier said than done sometimes.
3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule?
I think it's too early for a real schedule. The only "schedule" we really have is she eats every 2-2.5 hours, then I try to keep her up for a bit and she'll be ready for a nap about an hr after she woke up.
4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors?
On me or in the swing most of the time. She doesn't wake up to much noise, but she's had DS yelling around her since forever. White noise helps if it's quiet in the house.
5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? We have 2 options for part time daycare for a reasonable price so I'm considering it because I worry about DH trying to work from home and be with J.
She's going to an in home daycare that DS goes to. We had some references from there and just love her.
6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? Poor J struggles and grunts and goes days without pooping and I just feel awful about it. It's so sad trying to watch him poop.
E doesn't. Sitting in a warm bath and bicycle legs helped DS when he had issues.
7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe?
Umm, maybe once a week? We have an infant tub with a sling. She loves bath time, but it just doesn't happen often.
8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO?
We haven't. Hopefully soon.

cwbh928 you must be somewhat close to me if you’re talking about being 2.5 hours to Jersey and going to Sesame Place. I’m in central PA. I'm south of central PA in Maryland Nice! I use to work at Aberdeen Proving Grounds before working at Siemens. We keep our boat in the Chesapeake.

1. Have you traveled with your LO yet? How did it go? Did they stay on routine? Did you drive or fly? We have taken car trips, longest probably 1 1/2 hours each way. She doesn't love the carseat unless sleeping but its been ok. We won't be going anywhere that involves flying. 2. Have you gone out in public with LO? How did you take them-in a stroller, wrap, etc? How did it go? Oh a bunch of places, toddler shananigans make that necessary so mostly farms, stores, places to eat, Fall fest, apple picking, errands etc. She is most content in the boba so far. We don't have a stroller which is kind of annoying but not sure I want to buy one since the weather will start getting cold. I have a simpler stroller for when she can sit up better that will be useful come spring. I have thought about getting the snap n go stroller but haven't yet so who knows. 3. Is your LO on a schedule yet? If so how did you get them on a schedule? Is it too early to try to get them on a schedule? Not really a schedule, some predictable patterns. She seems pretty consistent on sleeping 11-6 or 6:30 which is good. I would like to try getting my evenings back a little and having her go down earlier but that is her nursing marathon and fussy time. Naps are kind of all over the place. Like others said, I probably won't try really till 3-4 months old. 4. Where does your LO nap? I'm talking what room and in what. Also, does your LO wake up when you are louder or talking or creaking the floors? She mostly naps in the swing in the living room. She is also used to noise because loud toddler. I keep saying I am going to move her to the crib and start instituting that but haven't yet. Maybe next week, LOL 5. If your LO is in daycare how did you choose it? Is it private in home or a center? No, I'm in the office 3 days a week and MH is home those days so our schedules allow us to not use daycare, can't afford it anyways. DD1 started preschool 2 days a week last month but its only twice a week in the mornings, she is doing great and its good for her, she has soooo much energy! 6. Anyone elses LO have trouble pooping? Uh definitely not, I'm worried she goes too much still. Always pooping! 7. How does your LO bath? Alone, in a sink, in a little tub, with you, in the shower?? How often do they bathe? We have a small infant tub with the insert so using that. I would be too nervous with slippery baby trying to take her in the shower with me. Right now I'm only bathing her about twice a week. 8. Have you and DH been out alone since the birth? Where did you go? Who watched LO? We went to dinner for his 40th birthday a few weeks ago, feels like an eternity ago, lol. We have plans to go to a concert in mid-November so that will be nice.

jt2378 I just try to follow what the twins do as best as I can while trying to balance everything else that needs to get done. I do daily baths because the twins love bathtime, they coo and splash and smile the whole way through, not because I think it's necessary. Having a loose schedule also eases my anxiety about leaving them with their nanny once I go back to work next month. With two babies, it's just easy to lose track of when each one fed or got changed, and if they are overtired they set each other off. I didn't have a routine with DS1 until around 5-6 months and that worked just fine. He was very high needs and was a sporadic sleeper, so I just went along with it. Each baby is different so whatever works best for baby and mom, to each her own. Paging my supermom unicornsparkles who not only has two toddlers and a newborn, but takes them out everywhere.

@starzia my MIL was one of those people who told me I should let the twins CIO and that I didn't have to feed them in the MOTN when they were 2 weeks old. She is definitely on my do not call list.

happyfeet9 OK, I think we pretty much do the same. R generally follows a pattern of eating and sleeping, so it’s not set daily but is usually only off by an hour or so. And, sometimes she’ll eat more frequently which mixes things up.

My mom always brings up the cereal in the bottle to get a baby to sleep through the night. She’s not upset I don’t do it, but she brings it up as how things have change.

My parents do some of that too and I’m like look, I appreciate your advice but a LOT has changed in 30 years so I’m gonna go with what my pedi says.

They actually now say the cereal in a bottle thing can be dangerous and a choking hazard and unless baby has horrible reflux, I don't think it's widely recommended at all anymore. Of course our parents are all "but you kids lived" lol thankfully!😂
