Wyd? J often wakes at 6 or 630 wants to eat and go back down. However his bedtime is between 8-9 And his evening naps are longer .
Would you a. Swaddle him at 630, feed him and put him to bed?
B. Let him sleep an hour then wake him up to eat swaddle and go to bed or
C. Try to keep him up until 730 then do bedtime routine. This happens about 3 times a week and I never know what to do

@easilyunamused, thanks. I have no idea what his problem is. He's always been a challenge, he is a rescue and I think he was abused in the past so he just has odd behaviors sometimes but this is a new one. It just better not become a habit.

Ugh speaking of AF, it's back. I am bummed becuase I was hoping to hold out longer than 10 weeks. With my first it came back at 8 weeks and we had a hard time with breastfeeding. I figured becuase I am doing great with breastfeeding i would make it longer... nope not the case. 😯 Mine came back at 13ish weeks with DS (while EBFing) and I thought that was bad. Yikes! I’m sorry.

We have a similar dilemma though when to put D. in her sleep sack. No help, I realize, sinceI have no real advice to offer.

We had another decent night sleep. It's not all night but h and I feel like new people! I'm hoping this is the new norm. However, j is so crabby in the morning now which stinks. Are your babies crabby in the morning when they sleep more at night?

Horrible night here. E was up at 1030, 1, and 230. DS got up at 330 and 430. E was up again at 445.
E also was only snacking at the boob and won't take more than an oz by bottle. Still having wet diapers but she makes me nervous. I guess I'll see how the day goes.

Awful night here. A has been up and down all night and I've been up since 3am at this point. I hope it is just from the shots and it doesn't continue.

M still seemed wide awake at like 11:30 after barely dozing all evening. Finally went down around midnight. I hope today is not another boob marathon day

Ugh. Sometimes DH is just so hit or miss. Like he does one great thing and then gets upset when I am frustrated he doesn't do more- bc he did that one great thing. Like last night he let me sleep from 9-1 and he fed N a bottle when he woke up at 11. Awesome. Thank you!! Then he was up doing work til 2am so he was exhausted and I fed N at 2, and at 6, and after 6 N was sooo fussy til 8:30 when he started to genuinely cry. DH didn't have to be at work til 11 today so I wanted DH to feed him at 8:30 so I could shower and wash my hair. DH was such a grump and rolled over to sleep so I fed him at 8:30 and have been trying to have N sleep since then. He will only sleep if you're holding him. DH finally got up at 9:30 and went to shower. He came out at 1015 and was like "well put him down and go shower." Um, no. He's like "it's fine if he cries while I get dressed." That's NOT THE ISSUE! I want him to sleep since he didn't between 6-8:30, and he's asleep now if you hold him. So hold him. At 10:23- "ok I can hold him. Go shower." Uh, you have to leave for work at 10:30. I cannot shower and wash my hair in SEVEN FUCKING MINUTES. "Well I didn't know you wanted to shower". BULLSHIT. we had an entire convo last night about how should I shower or go to sleep- and he told me go to sleep and shower in the morning. So I'm sitting here in bed holding a somewhat sleeping baby (he keeps fussing around, opening one eye, then closing it again) without a shower or food at basically 11am. While DH slept from 2-9, with occasional wake ups that involved him rolling over and passing out again. I'm so annoyed today. It reminds me of this comic strip my sister sent me. DH can be great, he can be helpful, but a lot of times he's not Or he needs to be explicitly told what to do. And he gets so butt hurt if I point it out and tell him I need more. And seems bothered if I don't praise the one thing he does. It's so frustrating. And sometimes he's truly awesome and steps up. But a lot of times he doesn't. Ugh. I hate to complain about him bc compared to what some of my friends have dealt with their Hs, my H is amazing, but ugh. Here's the comic strip- I think a lot of us can relate to it, sadly. english.emmaclit.com/2017/05/20/you-shouldve-asked/

Man I think the last few days spoiled me. J has been pretty happy and has slept well at night though naps have sucked. Today he is so fussy and grunpy. I currently have him napping in the Moby because he woul dnt stop crying.
I know they say 6-8 weeks is peak fussiness foe babies but he has been so good theblast few days. I guess this is where the fussiness comes in. I hope it doesn't last but his next leap is in 5 days and I'm worried.
Anyone else have a grumpy baby at close to 7 weeks? I have a friend coming over timorrow and now im second guessing my choice to have her over.

That's so frustrating addymac I think men justbisnt know what to do sometimes which is why I'm suddenly freaked out that DH is staying home with J. I know it'll be fine once he gets a little older but in this fussy infant stage I really worry how he will handle it. Enough so I'm thinking about extending my leave to 16 weeks instead of 12 weeks. I feel like J will be less fussy and more active then.

king26, yeah she is still pretty fussy some days and is 8 weeks, it's common and there will be better days than others. I wouldn't cancel your friend's visit. Babies this age cry and are fussy, your friend will likely understand that and I'm sure it will be great to have some company.

Would anyone be interested in a health and wellness thread? I don't want it to just be interpreted as weight loss or exercise, but also stress management, and other health issues we might be dealing with.

addymac, I could have written your exact same post about MH. He is so great most of the time but then totally drops the ball and then gets all sensitive when I point it out. I actually saw that comic strip a while back when I was pregnant and thought it was so true. I remember I showed H and he got totally butt hurt over it and said it was ridiculous. Lol!

H cooked and cleaned for himself prior to living with me, so I don’t know if that’s part of why I don’t have issues with him holding up his end. But, I always say one of the best things that happened was us working opposite shifts. He knows what needs to be done and does it. Once in a while I tell him that I expect him to XYZ with T when I’m not home, but it’s rare. He actually says he’s looking forward to me going back to work, so he can get into a routine with the girls.

I am like way behind on pretty much every discussion and thread on here currently (which makes me sad and annoys me cause I want to participate real bad) - for which I apologize! - but would really like a thread like that!

If you guys had to choose between these two toys, which one would you pick? They seem similar enough where we'd only need one, right? We got both as gifts and figure we should return one of them... The jumperoo or the activity saucer

DS1 had an activity saucer similar to the one you posted and he LOVED it. Like we had to put it away because he kept wanting to get into it long after he was too big for it. I would keep that one just based on past experience.
