I realized while cleaning my kitchen that I need to run to the store for like 2 things. I decided to lay down to have a small relax after all my hard cleaning work and now I'm thinking... Maybe nap instead?

I called them a few minutes ago. They were able to see that the order had not properly processed. So it didn't actually get placed. Thankfully!

kinipela7 hard decision! If I were you, but I also could come up with my dream scenario, it would be a U/S at 39 weeks to check placental function, fluid levels etc. If All was good, I’d keep going but being able to dictate all that is probably unlikely! An induction doesn’t mean C/S plus MFM is MFM for s reason. They are coming to their conclusion with extensive knowledge and experience.

@kinkpela7 I’m being induced at 39 weeks (due to my own health) and was induced with my first. While I know inductions can be rough, I had a textbook induction with my first and delivered vaginally. I guess I’m biased because me experience was so good. If it decreases the risk for placental and meconium, it’s worth it.

Lots of Love, cythe. Hopefully they won't push back on the induction.

Hello from triage! I just spent the last couple hours here. I had my 39 week appointment this morning (at 39+3) and they were concerned about my BP. Everything is coming back normal though so I'm hoping they let me go home soon... I did miss that pedicure and eyebrow wax I had planned for this afternoon though. 😒

Last week of work!! I didn't think I would, but I've officially checked out and am doing the bare minimum. I just have no motivation.
I'm about to head to Sonic for a 1/2 price vanilla diet Dr Pepper.

kinipela7 I was induced with DD at 38+4 and was petrified of having a c section. My cervix was thin and I was 1 cm dilated so they used a foley bulb with saline to dilate further. The pitocin was started almost 36 hours later (but that's a whole other story) I delivered vaginally with no complications. There were a few hiccups but nothing major. I would say go for it since you seem to have a few good reasons to do it. Good luck with your decision. cythe I really hope your doctors support your request for an induction. You need someone with you during labor. chitownsully Like for everything normal. Hopefully you can reschedule your pedi and wax. Lasagna is in the oven for dinner, MIL wanted to ditch it and go out. I don't think she got the memo not to get between a pregnant woman and her cravings. I wanted Caesar salad and garlic bread but left them off my list and today is an holiday. 😢. Maybe I'll make brownies later to make up for that disappointment.

Popping in from boobland to check in. We were discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon which was crazy to me - in on Saturday and out Sunday! DS2 is pretty chill but wants nothing but boob. Barely got any sleep last night since any time he wasn't latched he was awake and rooting. DH has given me some breaks to get naps today which I am very thankful for. I think we just need some more time to figure out how to balance life as a family of 4 now.

kinipela7 have the kidneys gotten worse? And just anecdote, I was induced with DS1 at 38 weeks due to a cord issue. It was slow starting but I was able to have him vaginally.

I had a serious convo with H today about how he should never eat the last of anything in the house when he has a 9 months pregnant wife at home. First the cake balls and now ice cream. He was smart enough to grab 2 gallons on the way home from work. 😉 So now I'm eating a giant bowl of Bluebell Pink Camo n Cream.

I had a really good ultrasound at MFM today. I went in for a cervical length check but they basically did a full A/S again. There’s this one MFM Dr that I’ve been lucky enough to see everytime I’ve been there and he was like your cervix is perfect (3.6 so same as 20 weeks). Since you are here, let’s give everything a look. They really checked everything and said all the growth was right on for 4 weeks past my last check. I know it’s just random measuremts at 24 weeks but it never hurts to hear things are progressing as they should be.

arimaythea Congrats on getting discharged! Glad to hear DS2 is such a good eater too. Hopefully things will regulate a bit once you guys get home and establish a routine. cythe Big hugs about seeing your H leave for the ship. I am sure that had to be hard. I hope the docs don't give you any pushback about your induction. kinipela7 With DS1 I was kind of induced (my water broke and I didn't go into labor or have contractions until they put me on pitocin at the hospital). I had DS1 vaginally and no complications! Also, I tend to trust the MFMs - they are the specialists at this kind of thing! curmudgeon So jealous of your bluebell ice cream! rebeccabunch Yay!!! So glad you had a good MFM check up! Those kind of visits are great to ease your mind.
