We have no plans and it's wonderful. We have a few busy weeks coming up.
Last night we went to the fair and the tractor pull. I took the kids early and let r do some rides and such. He had a blast.
Today everyone slept in. We randomly took our boat to the river after nap for a short cruise. The weather was awesome and it was the first time we took T.
We made a fantastic dinner and ate outside with T in the RNP and R played in the rocks while eating. I drank wine. We started a little fire in the fire pit. Now R1 and R2 are mowing the lawn in the dark. (He's got headlights on his mower. lol)

It's BWI week so they had their big bash today.
I took F and we got a teething beads, a dinosaur book, and a woven wrap. I need to start breaking it in.
Tomorrow I need to work on finding a shirt for pictures.

It's a long weekend for us but we have no plans. It's Thanksgiving but we won't do our dinner until next weekend so we can have it with my parents.
It's going to be chilly tomorrow. We'll try to get to the playground and maybe go somewhere for breakfast. Monday I'll try to work on school stuff since my husband will be home with L. Pretty boring lol.

I just slept in today, went to grab eggs that were on sale, and ended up buying a comforter for the new bed since we needed one. Worked this evening and work until 8 tomorrow. Blah. H and I are both off on Monday though, which is the first time we've both been off for Thanksgiving in, um, years. I really didn't even know what to do lol. We just went to the grocery store and picked up a gigantic ham which was ridiculously cheap, and some stuffing and veggies and we'll have a nice supper =) I really need to get a table for my new place, especially because I invited a coworker over for future meals, but I have no place to put a table really. Hrmmmm.

It’s only a long wknd for MH. Lucky him.
We spent some time outside yesterday because it was gorgeous, and then DS popped on the potty for the first time last night. A small victory! Dinner was a delicious pasta dish and a large glass of wine 🤗.
Anyway, we are leaving midweek for a trip so I will mostly be trying to get ready for that over the next few days. Trying to enjoy the trip rather than make it something to stress about.

We've had a good weekend so far. Friday we went shopping and made fish fry for dinner, yesterday we were home frying everything in MH's new fryer (chicken wings and funnel cakes were my favorites), and I got out for a solo trip to the wine store and Columbia to get M & me some new fleece jackets. I'm cleaning this morning, and we've got a birthday party later at a kids fall festival which J should love.

We don't get an extra day off this weekend but it sure has been long so far. I've been trying to help this blind goat survive but on Friday she started getting worse and yesterday when I asked DH if he would put her out of her misery he just laughed at me, so we had a fight about that this morning, plus I'm super sad about my sweet little goat. I have to note that DH has made it clear that he is not sympathetic to the way that goats just seem determined to die no matter how much you do to try to save them. The kids were exceptionally busy yesterday, getting into everything, while I was stressing about the goat. My parents are on their way here with the horses though, which I know is going to be even more stressful for DH, but will definitely be good for my mental state.

Take 2 on practice cake for H’s upcoming birthday. It’s much prettier than the last one, but the cake was dry and the frosting is way too sweet. I guess I’ll try again next weekend.

We did next to nothing and it was glorious. Took Nugget to a kid's service at the synagogue on Friday evening, which was mostly the kids playing on the playground and eating pizza and ice cream and the adults drinking wine. And some prayers and songs thrown in somewhere. Saturday and Sunday we sat around the house and cooked some tasty food and relaxed. And I worked on my sewing and finished three stuffed narwhals and repaired some stuffed animals the dog got to and did a little garden work, mainly building a climbing structure for my peas and beans. Got a new toy storage shelf with plastic bins, so we put that together yesterday and organized a bunch of toys. It's nice to see Nugget actually playing with her toys instead of just wandering around looking for things to get into.
Last night was our last time nursing, I'll be gone tonight for bedtime (joining a local choir! yay). Hopefully tuesday won' be awful, J will be gone for the night and I'll have to put her to bed myself without the boob. I'll probably need a drink after.

Cake update: I took a slice to my neighbors who are chefs for a critique and suggestions (they had lots of both for the last one.) She said “There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this cake “ and ate the whole slice. I have never gotten such high praise from someone so critical. I kind of want to have it embroidered on a sampler to hang on my wall. In her defense, I was really asking for brutally honest feedback both times.

I was gone all weekend. I traveled to NC to a dog Obedience and Rally trial. No kids. Just me, my pup, and friends with their pups. We had so much fun! PG got 11 qualifying scores, including off-leash events, and had some 2nd and 4th Place finishes

Had a fantastic, mostly unplugged, long weekend on martha's vineyard. The kids* actually swam in the water it was so warm. I drank too much. Ate bad things. Ran twice. Hurt my knee. Didn't think about work, unnecessary violence, or politics for almost 4 days. Saw an amazing sunset. Drank beer in the rain. Watched naked toddlers wrestle. Stayed up late with other adults around a fire. And played the lottery in hopes that we could all stay there and never return to real life.
Alas, here I am at my desk.
*i'm included in kids cuz all the other adults are wimps.
