Weekends seem to be our busy time. I really think a lot of you will get rocking soon.

I'm nursing the baby while DD eats breakfast and watches Mickey. She is going to stay with SIL tonight and while I know she will have a blast with her cousins, I'm gonna miss her sooo bad. But getting so much attention from them will be good for her right now. She is slowly coming around to the baby. She walked up to him and offered him a cheez-it yesterday so I'd say we are slowly making progress.

No baby yet for me...still having random contractions, sometimes they are even timeable, and then they stop I didn't experience prodromal labor with DS...and this is annoying. I wish my water would just break and unmistakably gush out (which is what happened with DS), so I would know - okay - definitely have go to the hospital now. Aside from baby watch and the random contractions, we had a really nice day! Got into the Halloween spirit and had DS color a bunch of Halloween print outs. We also let him go nuts with some Halloween stickers my mom sent from the USA, and we cut out/decorated some spooky bats. Now DS has his own little Halloween art work corner by his activity table. Makes the place look more festive! We added to the fall mood by eating some home made apple pie and watching Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. I figure we might not have another weekend to focus solely on DS with this type of stuff, so we're getting it in now 😀🎃

Prodomal labor will be the death of me. Contractions were close enough together long enough last night that i packed up all the chargers and toiletries in my bag, and now i have to unpack them today because they spaced out to one or two an hour right after that. Also DS slept like crap last night. We normally get up at 7 every day, right now I'm sitting in his room at nearly 8 debating waking him up.

I put out our outside Halloween decorations yesterday. Now I need to try and remember how to set the timer. Maybe I'll just delegate to DH.

Oh! And last night we realized that unless I have a really slow labor, the baby will be here by this time next week!

I totally thought there'd be at least one baby has been born thread this AM with all the action that's been going on.
I'm having another practice session, some cramping, low back pain and feeling like this baby is going to fall out. I'm bouncing on my ball because it's one of the only positions that feels comfortable.
We were planning on going to get some pumpkins but it was still raining out so we went to Babies R Us for DD to pick out a present for baby sister. I showed her the selection of wubanubs and let her pick. Then she ran around the store all excited looking at all the toys, we don't ever bring her there so she was so excited.

Baby is stilling mixing up nights and days so I’m taking naps where I can. DD1 spent the morning at the park and is ready for her nap soon. Trying to figure out the logistics of grocery shopping. I’m probably putting more thought into this than necessary but we are running out of food and DHs least favorite chore (though he will do it) is grocery shopping. I really don’t want to eat more takeout or fast food though so it needs to be done. We’ve got some freezer things we can dig into but we need some veggies and fruits to go with them.

I almost got sent back to L&D yesterday after my NST (which baby failed again because she is too active to keep her heart rate on the strip!) but the doctor thought the decel was the machine picking up my heart rate instead of baby's. I'm hoping she stays put until my c-section on Wednesday!
Spending family time this weekend, it's still crazy to me that we will likely be coming home from the hospital with a baby a week from today!

I have tons of pressure, lower back pain, cramping, sore boobs and occasional contractions stronger than my normal BH. This has gotta turn into something right?! Come on baby, you are due today, get it together!

We are finally painting. Painting a room with a 4 year old is not fun. I don't know why I thought it could be an activity for us to do.

DS is 4 weeks today. We had newborn/family photos this morning. I cannot wait to see how they turn out. H and I have been at the new house unpacking. There us still so much to do. Ugh.

Who else is with me in the "whole lot of nothing" labor camp?
I tried out my pump today on the lowest setting for some nip stimulation. It didnt give me contractions or even a slight pain, but I did get a surprising amount of colostrum (which was 100% not my intent).
Then my mom called and told me to relax and enjoy these last days and reminded me that women never used to have their husbands in the delivery room. So, I did what anyone in my shoes would do, told her that they would have their family around instead - which I also don't have - and then I cried lol. It was pretty pouty of me, but I don't care today haha.

Thanks, I'm good now it was just one of those things where you're talking out loud and then suddenly you realize you're actually crying haha. It was... something

cythe, i wish i could come be in the delivery room with you. I would have cried too. I'm trying really hard to keep my expectations reasonable. I'm only 38 weeks, but after last night was so close to us going in (8 contractions in an hour, I'm supposed to go in once i get 10) I'm really depressed that it isn't just happening. I made a secret Pinterest board of labor inducing recipes for dinner this week.

Was also thinking I would come see more labor and baby posts but all these babies must be too comfy.
My OB appointment went great yesterday. Measuring about 6.5 pounds and I’m already 2cm dilated. My doc won’t let me go past 39 weeks so baby will be here no later than the week of the 23rd. I want to make it to at least that week for maternity leave timing so I’m trying to take it easy. MH’s man cold and stupid football is really making that hard, been chasing around DS all day.

cythe I didn’t have anything going on until I went into labor with DD. A few days before she was born at my appointment I was only a fingertip dilated. This time I’ve had some contractions but not enough to time/do anything... and hugs about your convo with your mom. Being a military wife/mom is super hard.

Aww cythe sorry about not having family around now. That's hard. I am officially on maternity leave (without a baby yet) so I'm hoping to check in more here. Heeey! The last month has been bananas. Working until now has been rough. Oof!

Prodromol labor can suck it. I was up again last night from 1:30am to around 4am with contractions...they were too painful to sleep through - some were actually really painful, and again were coming every 8-10 min...and then they stopped. This is getting exhausting - so much pressure and i feel like the baby is going to drop out of me. I just want my water to break already...going to the hospital only to be sent home doesn't sound like fun at all.
Fingers crossed SOMETHING happens today. I don't want to already be sleep deprived before I have a newborn! I'm def going to nap during DS' nap time today - provided no contractions interrupt.
