guster I remember B going through periods here and there where he wouldn’t nap, but he didn’t drop it completely until he was 2 1/2–give or take—while I was pregnant with C (and most needed a nap myself, natch!) I would think you’ve got a few more months at least. On weekends when your H is around can one of you lie down with him? That’s what we used to do when B resisted. I wish! He would never sit still. My kids have never been cuddlers. We took him out of his room and let him run around for 15 minutes, and then put him back up. He fell asleep immediately. He must have just needed to release some extra energy. It's harder during the week because we have to stay on a more specific schedule because of afternoon pre-K.

Happy weekend. I did a spin class (barely used my 3 classpass classes, so had to get one in) and the boys are off to the airport for our nephew's baptism. I'm trying to pack with a stage 5 clinger and I cannot find the carseat bag, so I'm tearing the apartment apart. I did find an old bottle under the bed from God knows when, hork. I've decided we will just use the snap and go and the infant seat this trip and who cares if it doesn't have a bag since it's probably not being used again. Flying with an almost 4 year old that is beyond excited sounds a lot more fun than a busy almost 1 year old..
Have a good day everyone!

My friend didn’t want me to watch so I have no idea how M is doing.
And their dog bit me in the nose while I was petting it. Awesome. The office manager said the dog is very protective of them. Then, why do you bring it to the studio where it’s around children all day long? The inside of my nose is bleeding. I keep putting hand sanitizer on it and it burns like hell. Do I need to do anything else?

Yes, I think at your C's age B was still in his crib, which made it much easier. Even if he fussed, we'd leave him be with a sippy of milk and he'd usually pass out. Once we moved B to his bed the spring after he turned 2 is when naps got more tricky, but thankfully he would usually fall asleep if I lay down. But obviously that isn't always possible when you have an older one to contend with, too!

Morning! We're at the ILs. N slept with mil and was apparently up at 5:15. H woke up at 5:45. They both normal sleep until 7. Luckily we shipped them out to the living room and I slept until 8:30.
I feel like we got conned into coming to their house for the weekend. It's fine, but we had plans to go to an Oktoberfest party tonight and cancelled. FIL told Dh they wanted to do a fall family gathering and asked if we could come. We assumed the extended family was getting together. Nope. SIL was here last night but left early this morning. BIL is noy coming at all.DHs grandmas are coming over for a late lunch. We could totally still go to the party but dh would feel bad leaving since we said we'd be here all weekend.

So C has to wear a kilt to this wedding and FIL keeps telling him skirts are only for girls. Now he's throwing a huge fit about wearing it and keeps taking it off. Thanks, FIL. I'm so pissed.

Hey! We had a lazy morning. This afternoon we are going to the pumpkin patch with my ILs so that should be fun. They want to eat KFC after, which doesn’t sound super great to me but it’s fine.

Quiet your mouth FIL! he obviously doesn't realize all the 'work' you need to do now to make him comfortable again.

Hi, morning.
Lazy day here, it's 11am and B is still in pyjamas lounging and watching Netflix, rough week I guess 🤷♀️
It's cold and windy out, so starts the season of indoor activities. Since it's Thanksgiving weekend his sportball and gymnastics don't have a class, so we need to find other stuff to do.
Assuming he'll get out of his pyjamas that is...

Apparently M did well in class. She made friends with another little girl in the class who happens to be the daughter of a girl I grew up dancing with. I stayed with her mom for a bit after my divorce. Crazy.

I just mixed some grapefruit juice with a Pinot Grigio. I figure it will make my dog bite feel better. Right?

Related story- I had a dog that bit a friend several years back. Apparently she was very allergic and the bite area got kinda nasty and infected looking so she went to the doctor. They said they had to report it to the county! Next thing I know, I have animal control at my house, interviewing me about my dog and checking him out. Luckily everyone agreed it was a one off in incident and nothing further happened aside from a paper trail.

My patience is shot today, I keep cleaning up the same 5 messes, and C is in a clingy stage and any attempt to leave her sight results in tears, whining etc. I took a shower hours ago and am literally still in my bathrobe with semi-dry hair.

God I need a drink too. I spend 2 hours a day trying to get a kids that didn't want to eat to eat and two hours every day trying to get a kid that doesn't want to sleep to sleep. I'm soooo over both of it.

X went to urgent care. Another EI. Pretty sure we need to see the ENT at this point but I'll have to follow up with his regular pedi on Monday to ask if she can generate the referral.
We're having a little birthday party for my sister's SO, FIL, and my mom since they all have birthdays within a week of each other.
My mom requested I make roasted red pepper pasta and a Spring mix salad with pears, dried cherries, candies walnuts, and a shallot vinaigrette. I've got to motivate myself to get into the kitchen and start cooking.

Not crazy about Apple cider donuts. They're okay, but I can take them or leave them. Have the best time at your festival, chrisy01!

melaniesue which farm? I think we are taking Cadence to Barton Hills on the 22nd. Also, on the 21st there is a free touch a truck going on at Round Rock rec center that I'm taking her to after gymnastics.

Gymnastics, new shoes at Target, and grocery shopping done. Cadence is now having quiet time in her tent while we patiently wait for the birthday party at 3. Oh and I'm currently babysitting 4 of Cadence's stuffed animals to make sure they drink all their pretend tea.
