I listened to a podcast about gender neutral parenting and now I'm questioning every dress I've put M in. And every skirt I haven't put H in.

I wear regular underwear with all pants (inc. yoga pants) and I'm sure you can see my underwear line.
But I really don't care and if you do, stop looking at my butt.

I make sure to take gender-neutral photos of my kids (not hard - lots of neutrals in this family) in case either of them turn out to be trans and want to have baby/kid photos to treasure.

I felt conflicted about weaning H, but I feel no guilt this time (with M).

H wants to go to a playground, but the one nearby has a family association meetup this morning and I'm like, nah, I don't want to talk to people IRL.

I own so many thongs and literally never wear one. I am sure you can see my underwear line every day. Do not care.

I haven't done that consciously, but Nugget has a lot of neutral outfits and wears a mix of things, so it wouldn't be difficult to find some neutral/boyish photos if that were the case. So many boys have longer hair now, she gets called "he" regularly by strangers when she's in something more less feminine/girly. Especially when she was a young infant, most of her clothes were neutral because we were team green. It's a really interesting thing to consider, glad we already have some of that.

Thongs are just not worth it. I do try to make sure I have undies that are well-fitting if I am wearing work clothes where my butt is not covered by my top.

I listened to a podcast about gender neutral parenting and now I'm questioning every dress I've put M in. And every skirt I haven't put H in. Hidden Brain? I think that the (a?) point of the episode is that there are people like them fighting the good fight, so that people like us can be followers and help normalize it. I grew up in a strongly feminist society (Berkeley) and never felt at home with that style of feminism (women are better than men, out of the home jobs are more valuable than in the home, changing your last name is anti-woman, etc). But I now feel comfortable with today's feminism that yesterday's feminism made the way for (valuing "woman's jobs," recognizing intersectionality, etc). I think that the style of gender neutral that the family on the podcast practices is likely not for me. But it helps make room for me to do it my (more mainstream) way and helps social influencers (like companies) recognize that selling "girls shoes" and "boys shoes" is dumb (looking at you See Kai Run).

Yes. It was hidden brain! I'm not saying I wanted to do what they did. And every dress M wears is paired with a functional pair of shorts or leggings underneath, so their weirdness about dresses being less functional isn't valid, IMO. And I think not buying a blue bike is dumb. But it does make me wonder if I should do... more.

Sometimes when I leave the gym, my crotch is all wet. And I'm not sure if it's sweat or pee. I guess this is what happens when you get old?

I only wear thongs. Regular undies go straight up my butt anyway so I'd rather have less fabric up there.

I don't know where I stand on huh. At tb and the other place, I knew what I could get away with saying (almost anything) and when I should keep my mouth shut (basically never). But around here, the vibe seems so much "nicer" which is weird Bc not what I thought we were going for. But I feel like I don't know how to say serious things that I think should be said.

So many people left who were part of that vibe, so it changed. I try to keep it hilarious and feisty, but it's hard work.

Snark is what makes our community wonderful.
I would rather bedshare with The Sageling rather than hubby. At least she cuddles.

Speaking of underwear... I once walked around for hours with a balled up pair of underwear stuck inside the butt of my jeans. I have no idea how I did not notice the huge lump. I eventually realized when they worked their way around to the leg opening and almost fell out onto the floor.

A long ugly husband sock lol
