It's 5:30 am and Ovia (my pregnancy app) just asked me if I've given birth yet.
MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, OVIA
What are you guys up to on this glorious Friday?

Just got done with a feeding now heading back to bed for some more zzzzs. Kiddo must be going through a growth spurt she sucked me dry last night. My boobs were like sad deflated balloons by the time she was done with them.

Me and the babe are up for our morning nursing session. He's up a little earlier than usual so I hope he crashes after so I can take a shower before DD gets up.

britt, Just checking to see if you have an outside baby yet?? Coming on to say Nope Nope Nope. I was having some good steady contractions last night and then they stopped! Ultrasound & cervical check today (maybe membrane sweep?) and will be scheduling my induction for next week.

After 5 hours of timeable contractions last night, plus losing my mucous plug, I really thought it was time. Unfortunately my body has different ideas. I just really need my body to stop pretending it's going to cooperate or else it needs to get real. I'm sick of all the false starts.

cythe Ovia is a pretty good app, why is it being a jerk like that? That's the last thing a women near her due date wants to hear. britt Have a good appointment. Hopefully you get a membrane sweep and starts thing up. mommabakes Sounds like your getting closer to an outside baby. Hopefully things start up for real. DD just woke up and is calling for me on the monitor. I can't be lazy and let her do her thing in the mornings since the IL's are in the room right next to her and she gets really loud. Nothing much planned today, I have to return something at the mall so I may do that and grab a Starbucks and walk around.

I wouldn’t think you’d make it through the weekend. Not like I’m an expert so don’t get mad if I’m wrong!

I take back what I said yesterday - I don't need the baby to wait until Tuesday. If he wants to come tonight or any time this weekend, that's fine by me. I've felt so uncomfortable all day and last night with these crampy inconsistent contractions. Been loosing mucous plug the past 2 days and feeling so, so much pressure. Baby is still moving, but not as crazy active as he normally is. Please come soon baby - I think my body is done.

It's been a weird day already.
On my way to the OB, I unfortunately got behind a garbage truck who lost a small bag of garbage as we are rolling down the interstate at 70 mph. It was just fluff trash but it scared the crap out of me.
Then, I'm pulling into the OB and I get flipped off by some old guy who is trying to go the wrong way around the driving circle. Like, wtf today people.

Ahhh, hoping some of these babes show up soon! I’m with rebeccabunch, it sounds like they are on the way, but what do I know either?!
As for me... it’s my first day alone with the two kiddos and I may attempt a quick Walmart trip... we will see how that goes if we actually make it out of the house!

cythe, hope your day turns around... like the wrong way driver should have. I’m glad the garbage incident was harmless, it certainly could’ve been worse and would be scary regardless... you’ve had a strange few days it seems.

I'm officially "working" from home for the duration (wait, did I already tell yall that yesterday?)
While Ovia hasn't asked if I've had the baby, I did get an email from huggies with the subject "now that baby is home..." I've never deleted an email so fast. I really showed them!

Hey! All is going well here. My mom has been visiting this week, and it's been so nice to have the extra help while H is at work. Also, she's made dinner every night which has been amazing. Currently just hanging out with baby girl while waiting for DS to wake up.

Wishing all the labor vibes for the ladies dealing with prodromal labor and overdue babies! After the initial O17 baby boom we're due a few more, so hopefully this weekend will be full of brand new squishes!
As of today, DH is working from home until baby arrives. I'm so thankful that his WFH rotating week lined up the way it did so that he'll be here the week leading up to my due date. Then if I go overdue he said he has no plans to go back in the office and will take unscheduled WFH so he can be close. Gives me so much peace of mind that he's right here for whenever it is go-time.
When I went into labor with DS, I remember waking up to a contraction at 5am and being like "oh, this is real now" and then that was the day he was born. I really hope I have a similar experience with #2. So far it seems like it could happen, since my contractions to this point haven't really been more than somewhat uncomfortable and never timeable.

I cannot sleep anymore. It must be the body's way of preparing to not sleep for 8-10 weeks. Thanks body.

So which FTMs wanna tell me when they started feeling movement? And what it felt like? Because I'm impatient.

I get to see baby today (via ultrasound). I have one last growth scan and can’t believe it will be the last peak at the baby until we meet him or her. I’m getting irrationally emotional about that thought for some reason? I will also get my lovely GBS swab and will be asking for a cervical check since I’ve had contractions off and on. Hopefully I’m making some progress already.

Rama, 14 weeks or so with my first but it was really subtle. I had to be sitting very quietly to feel anything and it was really inconsistent. It's easy to miss early movement when you're busy and not paying attention. Hell it was easy to miss 3rd tri movement when I was super busy and distracted. It felt sorta like a butterfly in your stomach or like a gas bubble but without the fart after LOL Come on October babies, some of you your mamas are waiting on you so let's get a move on!

Rama, probably around 16 weeks and for me it felt like literal "pokes" from inside. They were sporadic. BUT I really started noticing all the movement the day of my anatomy scan - 19 weeks, 2 days. DH could actually feel them too.

Rama - I pulled out my pregnancy journal from DS to look up in there. Looks like I felt the first flutters around 16 weeks, and then by week 21 they started feeling more like kicks (and also when DH could feel them from the outside). Initial flutters felt like bubbles popping in the center of my pelvic bone, which is why I feel like a lot of FTMs will be like "dunno if it was gas or baby" but really, I think if you are feeling something like that it is more likely baby than gas.

Okay, so the other day, I felt what I described as "boiling water" and I've felt a few "twitches" or "tics" or maybe even "pokes" here and there. Nothing consistent, but when I sit still and concentrate on it, I can feel something sometimes.
I don't want to prematurely get my hopes up or anything, but I also don't know if I'm just making things up out of sheer will or if I'm actually feeling a thing.

So they are going to let me go 10 days past my Due date before induction (I lucked out with the holiday, a great ultrasound and a really awesome Nurse Practitioner today) ... so basically the plan is #1 go into labor on my own before Tuesday (please please please).. If not Tuesday I will have another NST at the hospital . If not Another OB appointment on Wednesday where they will check my cervix and then proceed to schedule my induction for Wednesday or Thursday! Not good news cuz I don't want to be pregnant any longer but good for my medfree natural birth and plans to have this baby come when it's ready! But let's hope for none of that to has to happen
