So, my BIL is getting married in September. I'm in the bridal party and I've been elected to help plan the bachelorette party. I need some recommendations of wineries/good areas to search out an AirBnB that won't break the bank for Sept 2-3 (labor day weekend, the only time everyone is available). The bride mentioned wanting to do a wine tour and maybe a spa day. Everything near me (Long Island, East end) is crazy expensive that weekend, of course, so I'm branching out.

Do a South Jersey wine tour. There are different ones. We rented a limo one year that took us to lunch in Philly and then like 4 wineries. It was really fun.
I highly recommend the tour that takes you to Amalthea Cellars because that's my favorite one ever. 😉

Jersey will def be better, because closer, but I'm open to Jersey or PA. We will probably leave early Saturday morning to get wherever, tour, spend the night, then hopefully get some massages on Sunday before heading home.
I will check out these recommendations tonight. Thanks!

There's a bunch of wineries in Cape May. And it's beautiful in September. Not sure how much airbnbs will be though.

I just went to a wedding at Grace Winery (PA) and it's the cutest place. They have a bed and breakfast on-site complete with restaurants and chefs. They have all these great areas with honor bars, so you can stay up late and drink. There are fire pits all over the property. And the wine is really good! We spent the weekend there for the wedding and had the best time, staying up late and drinking. It would be so fun for a girls weekend.
The only problem you might run into is it's a holiday weekend, so you may have to do an airbnb and then go to the winery.
Really, it's a difficult weekend so another thought is you airbnb or get a hotel in Riverhead or a nearby town and you get a wine tour to pick you up and take you to the vineyards on the north or south fork. That might be really fun if you stay at a hotel with a spa.

I checked AirBnBs out east at a lot of surrounding towns, and they're ridiculously expensive that weekend. Which I expected. H has been checking into them for PA for the same weekend for the bachelor party and they're WAY more reasonable so I'm thinking PA will probably be the route we go. That grace winery place sounds right up all or our alley. So I'm definitely going to check that and all other recommendations out.
Right after I open up this bottle of wine.
Thanks, ladies!

If you go to Bucks County, New Hope is the cutest town. Yes! I bet you could find a fun airbnb in that area and Newhope also has a bit of a subdued French Quarter feel to it - there's outdoor bars and bikers and People wearing strange outfits and stuff

Although there are some nice wineries around I think getting around South Jersey on labor day weekend is going to be rough. You get within a certain radius of any of the shore towns and get stuck in traffic no matter what direction you are headed. Plus rentals are still going to be expensive and probably hard to come by for that weekend.

I would recommend laurita winery in New Egypt, NJ. I grew up and lived in jackson, NJ which is right next door. It is a very nice winery for that area. Over the years they have really made a name for themselves.
Plus it is not far off the major highways.

Just something to consider.

I honestly only know southern Westchester and you're better going into the city if you're there. But, don't rule out the city, it will be a ghost town that weekend so hotels will probably be reasonable and you can get a reso anywhere. We did a staycation there one MDW for that reason.

I don't mind a 3ish hour ride, but NY traffic alone could take take 2-3 before we even get out of state on a holiday weekend.

I wish these girls were available like... any other weekend! Honestly, you're going to get that any weekend in the summer. MH does the drive almost every Friday. Even with summer Fridays (he leaves between 12-1), some days it takes him 5+ hours. Such awful traffic on the weekends in the summer.

I'm a little invested where you will end up since I know all of these places pretty well. Maybe I will crash.

I think that area is going to be 1) horrible traffic and 2) $$$$$ for Labor Day weekend. If it was the next weekend, I would definitely think the shore would be so fun.
