We did Sandals and stayed at the Halcyon.
We did a snorkeling excursion (Where I learned that I am not a good ocean swimmer. A local on A boat offered to tow me in if I would buy one of his coconuts.)
We also did a sunset cruise and had dinner on the beach. The dinner was sooo romantic and peaceful.
I hope you all have a blast! I would love to go back.

We stayed at Fond Doux Estates one week and then Coconut Bay Resorts the second week. They’re located on the southern side by the Piton mountains so they weren’t far to get to. I believe the island is only 28 miles long but the roads wind a lot so it takes 1.5 hours or so to get from end to end, if the mountains are important for you I’d stay further south.
At Fond Doux we had a whole house with kitchen. Only breakfast was included for meals but there’s a restaurant on site and other places aren’t too far. The location was lovely, we made friends with the owner, his nephew and our driver. We got to experience the country in a more intimate way IMO. We had a catamaran, couples massage, sulphur springs, rainforest hike and a few more things included, so that offset the additional food prices.
Coconut Bay wasn’t fancy but it was nice and we got a room upgrade for free. None of the beaches are private on the island so there are locals here and there, just FYI. I made friends with a local there and got to ride on a horse in the ocean while her baby swam along side us, it was incredible! Anyway, food wasn’t amazing but not horrible either. There were a number of restaurants (better food) and things to do but we mostly relaxed the second week and laid out on the beach. There are two water slides there as well (locals refer to this hotel as the water park even though it has only 2 slides lol)
Sandals was too expensive for us but looked beautiful. It’s by Pigeon Island where we also visited. I considered Jade Mountain too but preferred a longer stay to fancier accommodations. The two I stayed at have good reviews so I didn’t stress it too much.
I’m in the middle of making dinner so idk how helpful this all is lol. Are you looking for excursions or just relaxing? That will help you narrow it down possibly.

We also stayed at Sandals Halcyon. We wanted all inclusive. The thing with Sandals is that you can travel to any of their three properties and one has a golf course.
We did the boat ride with snorkeling and zip lining. I said this in the drinking thread, but zip lining was AMAZING!

I'm so excited for you @winomite! It was one of my favorite vacations. I really wanted to hike the one Piton mountain, but H's idea of vacation includes doing the least (drinking, eating, lying by ocean/pool).

Pizzaslut we only climbed Gros Piton (Petit Piton is steeper) and I was literally crawling at some points. 50% of people don’t make it apparently. I’m glad we had the second week to relax, ha. @winomite they drive fast going blind around corners and just honk a lot. Our driver laughed at my reactions a few times. I’m so excited for youuu!
