If people leave this forum, that's up to them. If they choose to stay, that's cool to. I will not be moving on to the so called "neutral" forum. This forum is neutral. There is no reason NOT to use this forum.

And I cosign all of this. People can hem and haw and fight all they want on the other side, but this is what it all boils down to. IMHO.

I mostly frequented the toddler board, my bmb (before they disbanded) and parenting but I lurked pretty much everywhere and will probably continue to do so lol.

I want to make extremely clear this is not a me vs. McBenny issue in my eyes. I believe we can do some things to get everyone posting in the same place again. I'm trying to follow those steps. If I'm wrong it'll all crash and burn anyway. But I have no plan B other than unilateral decisions making, and that's not going to cut it. So my plan is to:

1) nominate admins
2) vote on admins
3) vote on a place
4) have elected admins run that place

I am open to suggestions on what would be more fair and accommodating. I can't think of anything else.

I like this plan. I can only keep up with one board so my head is spinning 🙃

Hanging here for now because colors/layout is set up but ::shrug:: I trust everyone that's been nominated or already an admin so far so I'll go wherever.

My issues are:

1) Nominate admins - most of the nominees are already Admin here.
2) Vote on admins - how is this fair to the smaller communities to get representation?
3) Vote on a place - this forum is set up. This forum already has most of the nominees as Admin. So what's the issue? It's me.
4) Have elected admins run that place - most of the people nominated are already Admins here.

I understand sterling and I think this is a good plan. I'm just frustrated and exhausted with all the fighting.

Mcbenny my thought on voting to make it fair:

We'll have candidates from certain board "competing" against each other. So however many people from the parenting category and we'll vote on one. However many candidates from GKU and we vote on one. However many candidates from AL/IF and we vote for one. Categories are TBD, but it won't be three parenting posters or a pure who knows the most posters competition.

My thought is a third board won't be needed if we select a group of admins and they run this site. So all the hard work done here would go to good use and not get recreated.

We don't want McBenny to go anywhere. It truly is coming down to her or not her.

It was mentioned on the other site that the Al community may not even join even if a 3rd board is made. So if that issue is ruled out what's next?

There is a comfy spot for every body and any board can be made upon request and HAS been made upon request.

What do ppl really think McBenny is going to do with your info?

I truly get it. But I am trying my damndest to accomplish two goals: be fair and get everyone in the same place. I am removing feelings and proceeding. I am not HBIC but without alternative suggestions I can't do much.

You have to have Admin privileges to build the site. That was stated way back on TCF before this forum went live.

As for Mods, prior to 30 minutes ago I was told there was going to be a new 3rd forum. So this forum needed Mods for the people that are here.

Well I'm not admin anymore. I've deleted everything I could that referenced that I was in any way in charge. I don't have access to anything at all. I wanted to remove the idea from people's heads that I'm making any changes or having any influence. I made some boards and now I'm done, the people who didn't want me around can have that wish fulfilled.

I'm going to try and somewhat speak on the AL front... There is a small board, that hawkward created, that is just being used as a gathering place for now, I imagine once a final place is decided on, people will come over, will it be everyone ? I don't know, I know there are some bad feelings out there, and they aren't going to magically disappear. They just want their voices heard.
