I would like to make an alphabet book for my daughter and was wondering if I could use fabric paint. I haven't worked with fabric paint much and wonder about the long term durability of it.
Thanks

I've used tulip fabric paint for freezer-paper t shirt stenciling and it holds up pretty well to washing on a jersey t-shirt. I haven't worked with dimensional fabric paint (puffy paint) in a long time. What fabric are you using for the base?

My only experience is the puffy paint forever ago. I have been wanting to try a flat (2D) paint on some cotton pillowcases for a couple of throw pillows. If you don't mind, let us know how it works out once you try it for your LO's book.

This is purse I made a year or two ago. I've used it a lot and this pic is straight out of the wash. It needs a lint roller because of what it was washed with but it's held up really well in this situation. The edges of the dots that are fuzzy are because I used a sponge brush, no paint has come off. ETA now that I looked at my paint it was actually just Plaid® craft paint.
