I just had a thrilling trip to the grocery store. That's not even sarcasm. I managed to match up coupons with store sales on a ton of things I needed and saved $15.

Tuesday night after the girls were in bed, I made a quiche-y kind of egg bake thingy. We had it for dinner last night, and I just had more for lunch. It was delicious.
I sprayed a 9x13 casserole dish, and unrolled a crescent roll sheet in it. Baked it at 350 for 10 minutes, and let cool for a few more minutes.
In a bowl, I mixed 10 eggs, a fistful of bacon bits, chopped shallot, chopped fresh spinach (but frozen would work), about 1.5 cups mozzarella, and maybe a half cup of half and half?
I dumped the egg mixture in the casserole dish and baked for another hour or so? Super easy to make. You're welcome. Also, my h had cooked up some breakfast sausage earlier in the day to chop up and add to it. But we forgot about it. Could also add in any other veggies, or other meat or no meat, swap out the cheese. Eggie bakes are awesome.

Sounds yummy and easy judyblume14! Hooray for savings Lakes! I also get disproportionately excited when I score some good deals lol. DH says I sound like an infomercial sometimes. "It usually goes for X, but it was on sale for Y, AND I had a coupon. But wait, there's more, I bought it online for an additional discount!" All he usually hears is "I spent more money" haha.

I'm pretty sure B has a yeast diaper rash. Nothing I'm doing is making it any better. I actually think the zinc oxide creams are making it worse. We've been doing tons of diaper free time, but it's persisting. Gotta call the pedi I think, even though they're probably just going to tell me to try lotromin.
Between Bs diaper rash and forehead scrape I feel like he should have every right to be cranky, but my little man is as smiley as ever. What did I do to be blessed with such a good natured dude? Man I love him to pieces.

Lakes, I used to coupon when I had more time and I loved getting the good deals! I still try to match up deals with printable coupons and store coupons and it's alway such a high to get a good deal! ellabee I'm sorry for the rash. Dd had a really stubborn rash around this age and R recently had a bad one when we were doing all of our traveling. My pedi recommended resinol ointment and it worked so well, It's super thick and powerful. You have to get it behind the pharmacy counter (or amazon) and they don't usually carry it but they all will order it. It is about $12 but the tub I bought for dd is the same tub we are using now, it lasts forever. 4um that sounds amazing and I don't always love eggs! judyblume14

meeggaannw I agree about the lack of time, I rarely do it now but the Sunday paper has been randomly delivered to our house the last couple weeks and it had a ton of useful coupons. Normally I feel like I never find coupons for stuff I actually use. Side note: I'm really confused as to why I'm getting the paper. We haven't subscribed to it in two years.

Y'all. Mh and bil were joking about combing R's hair in funny ways and the tried a combover that resembled 45. I jokingly told them not to do it because I have a physical reaction to my children resembling him. My bil said something like "oh do you have a problem with politicians that get stuff done?" I was super calm but I told him for the sake of a happy trip and relationship with him we probably should never talk politics.

Wtg Lakes! judyblume14, that sounds nummy!! Will have to try, possibly with a milk substitute unless I wish pain on MH. ellabee, I'm happy that B is still happy through that! C had a diaper rash that didn't seem to be clearing and now i can't think for the life of me what worked 🤦♀️ mombrain is a bitch and I'm sorry I'm no help. I finally got a tattoo for my dad today. It's my first ever and I did a lot of research before deciding on artist, and then I had to find the original cards that I found in the same place that I looked 100 times. I love it, it's my first but now I don't feel like it'll be my only.

pibblemom I love the idea of getting a tattoo with a loved one's handwriting. It's such a meaningful message to remember as well. ❤️

Also, pibblemom, you could skip the milk all together. Though I would NOT advise skipping the cheeeese.

It's going to be a pizza night over here. Hooray for not cooking or cleaning the kitchen tonight! There are also plans for an at home movie date, Fantastic Beasts is on the docket.
Other exciting things: dd has been going down for naps without nursing and only fussed for a few minutes early this morning before putting herself to sleep. The lack of sleep was affecting my mental health last week so this week I went straight to cio. Hopefully the positive sleep trend continues!

I'm getting my hair cut today. It's probably been a year since I've been in the salon. I was definitely pregnant with B the last time it was cut....
DH and I had a date night last night. It was nice. We had a good dinner then watched a bit of the Pats game.
DD had a blast with the sitter. She asked if she could come back again soon. lol

Today will be the best day ever. I was home from the gym and the whole house was vacuumed before 8am. Work is not stressful today, and I'm working from home so I might get a load of laundry folded. I had some of that egg bake for breakfast. YUM. I will have leftover chili for lunch. And, yay, ellabee, twinsies! I'm getting my haircut tonight, too. And going to dinner with my BFF. I haven't had a "break" from evening kid duties in a while, and this is VERY much needed.

Ah well. Guess I was due for some toddler blood. It had been awhile. Ds took a pretty good tumble on a downhill trail. Two scuffed up knees, one bleeding decently, and a good cut on each palm. I don't know how he managed it but it was quite an awful looking fall and I was worried about his face and teeth. No obvious injuries there thank goodness. Of course I was being all breezy this trip and didn't bring the backpack so I had nothing to clean him up with. I was using my hands and wiping the blood on his sock. Which I noticed was threadbare in the heel this morning so no loss there but I felt like the MOTY while my bloody kid screamed in the middle of the woods.

ellabee, I remembered what we did for the persistent rash; aquaphor healing (the petroleum jelly kind) and switching to water wipes. I had battled that darn rash for weeks before that got it. peaseblossom55, it stung a bit as he got closer to my wrist and to the softer skin at the bottom, but it was so temporary it was nbd. It only took about 20-30 mins of tattooing, took longer to lay it out and do the template and placement

I had 55 breadsticks, 9 bowls of salad, and the chicken and shrimp carbonara.
And zeppoli.
And wine.
