What are your preferred brand of diapers? I will definitely not use cloth, I hate laundry and also might only have one kid. Pampers vs. Huggies vs. something fancier?
I know to wait and see what works for my kid, but I need to have some on hand to start!

Pampers and huggies work for us, but we're pretty solidly a pampers family. I wished for monies sake we could use up&up but she leaks right out of them.

We've used Pampers size nb-1, then Luvs from size 2+ because cheap.
We also set up a monthly or bi-monthly delivery with Amazon for diapers and wipes so they are not something we have to worry about getting at the store.

Pampers swaddlers until baby starts crawling ... then pampers cruisers. We use whatever for daycare. It may be a good idea to get a few smaller packs of a variety of brands (pampers, huggies, up&up, Walmart brand, cosco, etc). DS didn't leak pee out of any diapers but we had poop explosions out of all the brands lol. He's still very regular and a big pooper.

I will say Luvs were not my favorite because they got really heavy when DS had peed. We use them when MIL gets them for us but not my first choice.

We used Pampers mostly. We tried Huggies for a while but had too many blowouts. About 2 months ago we switched DS1 to up&up and have been happy.
We'll put new baby in Pampers until probably 1.5-2 years as well. I'm particular about the way things feel and all other diapers feel really plasticky to me. I just can't handle it.

We were gifted several types and I ended up liking pampers the best so we did swaddlers then cruisers.

We use Luvs. My kids pee and poop out of Huggies and Pampers.
Pampers are the other we have used and will use (I stocked up WAY too much in the smaller sizes with DS1 - yes, 3 kids later I still have some).
Huggies are my least favorite. They are shorter or something, it was weird using them.
Anywho, Luvs are the only ones that didn't cause me more unnecessary laundry. We did try a few Up&Up a friend had, but I still preferred Luvs...and they are cheaper.

Pampers. Swaddlers then cruisers. I can't remember when we made the switch though, maybe at size 2.

Pampers for us. DS peed right out of the Huggies. We started with sensitive ones, and then moved to baby dry as he got bigger. This time, I think we will start with regular swaddlers, then transition when the babies are older. I have to say, I love how much the baby dry diapers can hold!

Huggies - only because we get them for free. They leaked occasionally when DS was really little but they were fine for size 2 and up.

Thanks guys! I have a couple friends who said Pampers, so I'm glad a bunch of you agree. Helpful to know which version for which size too, since that's also confusing! I have saved $170 worth of points at the drugstore to use, so I might just stock up and hope for the best! I need wipes too and some other things. I'll go through a bazillion diapers at the beginning, right?

We used Pampers swaddlers from day 1 because that is what we has at the hospital. Will use them again this time. Then cruisers. And the sensitive pampers wipes.

Triple Paste or Butt paste is good for diaper rash (expensive but clears it right up).

If we're talking wipes too, the Kirkland brand wipes at Costco are hands down the best. I found that the Pampers wipes leave a lot of fuzz behind and Huggies wipes tear super easy. The Kirkland wipes are a perfect size and strength.

No Luvs in Canada. Boo.
I used cloth until 10 months, then PC Green, then Huggies because I can get a giant box from Loblaws...
Pampers give DD a terrible rash. I was exactly the same.

My favorite is Target's Up&Up brand. They have the line for the wetness indicator and hold up pretty well for off brand diapers. I agree about LUVS not always working that great when full. If I buy anything besides Target brand I like Huggies the best

Pampers (sensitive up until Size 4, and then baby dry)
I've used them since day 1 with DS and loved them. I've already stoked up to size 3 for this one

Pampers swaddlers for NB. Don't buy a ton of NB size though, see what you can take home from the hospital and that might be able to last you until you are in size 1. We took home like 3 half opened packages of NB size diapers. We stuck with swaddlers through size 2 I think, then tried some other types. Now that he's older (2.5) I prefer Pampers Baby Dry or Cruisers. The swaddlers leave lint on him and don't do as well with solid toddler poops. For overnights, I like Huggies overnight. Size up when they're still really little and peeing a lot.
I prefer Pampers sensitive wipes, but send Amazon ones to daycare because they're cheaper and daycare goes through them quickly.

We cloth for the most part but when we use disposables we're a Pampers family. Huggies did not work for DS at all. We use swaddlers from nb-2 then baby dry.
+1 to Costco wipes.

We have a smaller pack of Pampers swaddlers for NB, then a box of size 1 Huggies. Really hoping Huggies work for us, because that is what’s at Costco and rumor has it that is essentially what the Kirkland brand is. And I really want to switch to Kirkland for the $$$.

We like the Huggies Little Snugglers, DD2 is now in a size 4 and we’ve had no issues. I don’t like the other 2 Huggies (Little Movers and Snug and Dry). Pampers (Swaddlers I think) would be our second choice. For wipes we definitely like the Pampers Sensitive. For diaper rash... I swear by this stuff... it’s freaking amazing! www.amazon.com/Country-Comfort-Baby-Cream-Each/dp/B000VHF5WA

Great, I have some Pampers sensitive wipes I also heard the Kirkland ones are the best. I don't have a Costco card (how am I allowed to be a mother?) but my mom does, so I can get her to get them for me. I have a couple diaper cream samples, so I'll start there!

I actually dislike swaddlers. The mesh in them words me out. We just use baby dry day and night.

For wipes, we buy whatever BJs has a coupon for when we run out. Not super picky with those.

We do like AnnPerkins- start off with Pampers and then move to Luvs to save money. I tried UP & UP with DS, but they gave him a bad rash. I'll try those with the girls at some point, though.
