Someone please share with me a remedy for getting these things out of my house (and, keeping them out of my house!). They're primarily in our bedroom I'm assuming they came in through the window air conditioner that is no longer in the window. I have probably drowned upwards of fifty of them so far in soapy water, and honestly that's probably a conservative number, maybe 75-100.
There seem to be a bunch of them holed up in the top of my blinds and in the side channels of the window. How do I either kill them in there or draw them out to be drowned in my bug killing water bucket. I cannot live with these things in my room anymore. I am not a bug person and it's been like a week and I'm seriously getting crazy over it. Plus the smell. Last night I was nearly in tears because I could hear them flying over my head while I was laying in bed and I found one of my pillow yesterday. Like I said, I'm losing my mind. Thankfully they're mostly in the window at the foot of the bed and not the one that's two inches from my head or else I would have been sleeping with M in her crib by now. HELP ME.

Ugh. That's horrible. This is not a tried a true method for stink bugs, but we get hornets in the spring and fall when they're all slow and dopey. If they fly onto a window, I spray them with hairspray. Then they usually fall down because they can't fly with the hairspray on their wings. Sometimes the crazy strong ones just fly around in a n extremely hampered way. Then I go in for the kill. Maybe hairspray could help knock them into your bucket?

I'm so sorry. I read an article saying they were extra bad this year. I thought so myself... but we only have about a dozen around the house. I flush them down the toilet.

FYI, if you get hairspray on the window, make sure you wipe it up right afterwards. I once neglected it and when I went to clean the window days later, the sun had baked it into superglue. It needed to be scraped off with a razor blade.
