No plans today, aside from some basic cleaning stuff. DS has been sleeping terribly, I think due to molars coming in. I'm tired. Lots of cramping after my membrane sweep yesterday, but I'm not too hopeful that anything more will happen.

Today is the day the IL's arrive. SIL is driving them from the airport and we are all supposed to have lunch together. I wish I could drink. Coincidentally I have my monthly appointment with my psychologist this morning, she'll help me game plan more.
DD is currently 'reading' in her crib, she knows most of the words to these books since they are read to her so often. She does not want to get out, ok kid, lol.

britt hope your baby realizes it's time already. My kid is home sick today. Woke up at 1am with 101 fever and complaining of a stomach ache. Please no vomit Please no vomit.

Yesterday, from the comfort of my bed, I agreed to go help my buddy do some painting and ripping out of carpet today. Then I went grocery shopping and realized what a mistake I had made. I'm so mad at myself right now.
Let the record reflect I've been here for 11 minutes and am definitely sad.

H just left for his first day back at work. He SO did not want to go and I felt so bad for him. DD is still snoozing so me and the littlest babe are just hanging out. Im planning on selling a ton of clothes in our local consignment sale next week so I'm going to get the tub of clothes out and start to organize everything today. That should keep me busy for a while.

britt I'm sorry you're still pregnant! Hoping those contractions become productive and baby gets here soon! August Blooms Good luck with your in-laws! @crumudgeon - Sorry about your DS being sick - hope he gets better soon! cythe Oh man - that sounds brutal. Any way you can get out of it? I mean, if being 9 months pregnant isn't a valid excuse - I don't know what is! Seriously though - take it easy. 😊

I woke up at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and ate some cereal then swept the floors. I mopped up a small spot where DS spilled some juice that I apparently didn't clean up very well. I would have mopped the whole floor, but my back was hurting.
Anyway, I managed to fall asleep at 5:30 when I went to "rest my eyes". Now I feel all groggy.
WhyTF am I still at work? There's literally nothing for me to do. I wish they'd give a week or so before, in addition to the 12 after. I'd even take it unpaid at this point.

Do not throw up little Crum! My pedi always says stomach hurting is a catch all for kids when they can’t describe what’s bothering them. You may be dealing with a cold virus but it’s likely not the pukes. If his throat hurts it could be strep which isn’t bad if you catch it early.

Silver lining, maybe it will get things moving along?!?

Public Display of Affection for blackmamba and riverraineBM hope you and your little girl are doing well with your first days home and your C recovery continues to be much better than your first. RR I know you have a lot going on outside of pregnancy. Hopefully you are managing.

I'm so tired...it's been a long day. Had a doctor's appointment and hired a new employee - wanted to get that done before the baby gets here. Focusing on finishing up all these projects for work too. I think I'm going to sleep well tonight - well, except the having to get up a million times to use the bathroom...
I found out during my NST today that I'm having contractions (news to me!), so I guess my body is trying to do something. But who really knows.

Last night I was admitted bc I had some bleeding. My MFM was on call and like me, thought it was just from the cervix check the day before. It was only a little pink on my panty liner but told me if it turns red come to L&D. Hour later it did. Long story short, baby looks fine, no idea what the bleeding is from, which is concerning them. They may decide to keep me here until I hit 37 weeks and induce me. So I'll probably be locked up in the hospital for the next week. Ugh, just ugh. My body and this kid doesn't realize I have shit to do bf he comes!?!

britt hope your little trucker arrives soon! You are team green too, right? Babe is good at keeping us all in suspense! I feel like a brand new person. Baby girl let me get some sleep last night!! 10:30-3:30 AND 6-9. Pretty sure that's more than I've gotten the entire last week combined... The rest of my little fam went to visit grandma, so it'll be a quiet day here. My plan is updating my recipe binder, catching up on mail/newspapers and nursing baby. I think it's doable!

littleowl913 Oh no! I'm so sorry you're going through that. Fingers crossed the bleeding totally goes away and they let you go home. FWIW, I had a cervical check today and immediately afterwards I had some bright red bleeding...like, not a lot...but enough to leave about a quarter sized bright red spot on my pad. Sorry for the TMI. A few hours later, the spotting went to light pink/light brown. The MFM said it was nbd, but to come back if bright red blood shows up again. I am hoping it is just that you have a sensitive cervix - it sucks you are going through this.

cythe, you have all the excuses to get out of it. There is no way i would do any of those things for my own house right now. We got the floor boards we needed in, now H gets to put in the base boards while i sit on the couch watching cartoons with the toddler. You can be the supervisor, not the manual labor. I have everything except buying stuff checked off my personal pre- baby to do list. I have a gift card from my BFF to Babies -R-Us so I'm going out there today to get a new bottle cleaning brush, dishwasher bottle case thing, and a stuffed animal for DS to give the baby. Then we are going to Costco tonight when DH gets home because Huggies diapers are on sale, and we need a box for the baby as well as one for DS. Then I'm ready to go.

My friend has 2 doctors appointments this afternoon so I asked if we were just working this morning.
He said he was working until 1 and I could stay.
LOLNO.

littleowl913, I'm glad they're being proactive but what a pain. I was in the hospital unexpectedly for a week before DS was born and it sucked trying to get other people to finish everything that still needed to be done. try not to worry too much, take care of yourself and bubs.

Just reading and love titing here. Ready to bust out of the hospital and hopefully will be able to late this afternoon.
DD2 has definetly “woke up” from the sleepy newborn stage and now wants to eat and be held all the time. We’re all a little sleepy here but luckily between H, my mom, and soon my Grandma someone will be here during the coming days at home to hold her or whatever while I sleep a bit. Night times I’m pretty much solo since nursing and all as H is back to work already. He’s really good about helping when I ask but short maybe changing diapers or helping rock/bounce/whatever her back to sleep - I usually try to let him get some since he has to work.
*rant - H is allowed 3 paid days off as a teacher here and then must return or take the other days unpaid (this would apply no matter what kind of birth and no matter if DD2 needed NICU time or not). The US needs to get its parental leave act together! 3 days paid (his sick days) is a bit ridiculous though thankfully we have the family support to make this kind of ridiculous work.
