Hi ladies, I have been slacking on my internet friends, I'm sorry. Today I am finishing cleaning my house because mh's brother and family get her this afternoon for almost a 2 week stay. Tonight we are going to try to go to our local police night out, it's at a good time and I think dd is old enough to maybe enjoy some of it. Plus free food! How is everyone doing? pibblemom, missd, & otepoti so glad to see you back around here!

Have fun tonight meeggaannw! Randomness from my end: - We were hanging out outside on our front stairs the other day and while B was trying to pull up on the bottom stair, he looked around for DD who was doing something funny and he lost balance and fell head first onto the concrete walkway. He's fine, but has a terrible scrape on his forehead. I feel like a terrible mother for not being able to stop it. Also, school picture day is next week so we'll be commemorating this spill for the ages. - I just found out I have to go on a work trip to Switzerland in 2 weeks. It's SO fortuitous that this trip falls during DHs term break, so he doesn't have teaching that week. I'll be gone 4 days....I'm both excited (for me) and nervous/guilty for leaving DH solo. An upside though is that since I've weaned B I won't have to worry about shipping milk or pumping while gone! - I'm on day 6 of a diet. I'm feeling good about it and motivated to get my body back. I'm done with having kids and done with nursing - now it's time for *me*!

After a solid week of chilling with various grandparents, ds has hit ultimate toddler and I want to cry. Dd is in a very clingy leap right now and I cannot handle both. It's all normal boundary pushing, screeching, some hitting (but only me, joy.) but I want my sweet, easy going boy back.

Enjoy the trip ellabee! And hooray for getting back on track with being healthy! I'm down 25lbs from this spring and back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm loving my new jeans and being able to fit in shorts I haven't worn in 5+ years. I thought I'd be sad about weaning in a few months but now I'm just excited to redo the top half of my wardrobe and wear real bras!

It's been busy here. I had to order some fall clothes for E. The other day H came into the room where E was playing and she said ha then said ha dada. H thinks it was random. I don't think so.

Hi friends! We're chugging along over here. M is getting so chatty and bouncy lately and DS seems to have hit an ok level of toddler the last couple weeks. So we're going to push into potty training this weekend and make everything miserable and terrible. Today I'm off work early after a team building boozy lunch and taking a minute to relax at home before picking the kids up early. There's a member night at the botanical gardens where they unveil the scarecrows and I'm so excited for DS to see them! I'm with you on looking forward to weaning Lakes! I have so many emotions about it but mostly I'm excited to not be using my body to nourish another human for the first time since September 2014.

Lakes, leap 6 can go fuck itself, right out the front door! This sucks! ETA: hi friends! C just turned 8 months last week and has decided that sleep is for the weak. She's been so much fun lately though! She's chatty and super playful, still not mobile though! (Thank goodness for that). This part might be the best part about clingy leaps though I'm going to try to catch up on some of your lives now

2 more weeks pibblemom and they'll magically be back to normal right? Heaven forbid I move in dd's presence. Evidently it means I'm leaving her forever and it's tear city. In other news, I went to bed at 9 last night and feel fabulous this morning!

Hola, just popping in.
Baby A has started waving, and is really into screaming - not out of despair, but just for funsies. My big is started to become more interested in her, and is always all up in her face trying to get her to laugh. Melts my heart.
Had a nasty plugged duct yesterday so, that was joyous.

LT for the heart melting stuff judyblume14, not the clog. Sorry you had to deal with that. My DD is much more interested in B nowadays too (but also much more aware that he's a real potential toy stealing threat).

judyblume14 it's my toddler who is in the earsplitting screeching stage. I just want it to stop. At home I ignore it because if I acknowledge it he just does it more with an evil little gleam in his eyes...like at the grocery store yesterday. Spoiler: I said screw it and left without everything on my list. I'm kind of at a loss with it.

Spaghetti and garlic bread is on the menu today. The sauce has been simmering for two hours and the house smells soooooo good. I might start eating before mh gets home because I don't want to wait another hour.
