I am a new mom check-in: Nothing like bringing up the rear - I swear I check in every day here but sheesh finding time to post isn’t as easy as I thought it would be....
How many weeks PP/How old is baby? Baby is 5 days!
How are you feeling? Any concerns? I’m tired, still working out day and night reversal. I’m a little concerned about DD2 coloring and jaundice. They watched it closely in the hospital and advised how to check at home via pressing her nose or forehead and looking for discoloration. One nurse even talked about home/light therapy if I got concerned before her next appt... which I kind of am but am also acknowledging that 5 days post partum I am not super rational either and am prone to overthink and over-Google everything.
How is baby in general doing? See above
How is baby eating & sleeping? Seems to be eating great - lots of wet diapers. Sleep is in 1-3 hour spurts but it usually at night.
BF or FF? How is that going? BF is going well. My milk came in and holy engorgement. My nipples suffered some intense bruising after an initial shallow latch but are recovering now... though painfully slow.
Milestones? Both baby and mom: I took DD2 out in public at 4 days old. DD has a follow up doctors appt and we needed to go. I’m pretty sure I kept DD1 home for a month before ever leaving the house so this feels like a big milestone for me.

danvers at DS's first ped appointment, 2 days after discharge, 6 days after birth the doc mentioned his coloring was a little yellow, but his billi levels had been fine in the NICU. We just had to keep an eye on it and keep feeding to push it all out. He was fine at his appointment a week later.
