I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 37+1
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Feeling surprisingly good for being this far along. Concerned about going overdue, and how labor is going to go but not too badly.
What kind of appointment? Midwife.
How did it go? Well, if I don't go into labor this weekend I won't deliver with the midwife I had today. It's still too early but I'd love to deliver with her since she seems like she would be amazing. The other ones are great too. She also decided to keep monitoring baby with weekly ultrasounds up until delivery.
Any feels/vents/etc? I feel so close yet so far away from meeting DD#2.
Learn anything new? Found out I'm GBS positive but I'm not surprised.
Next appointment: Next week Wednesday, ultrasound and midwife.

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 39+2! Hoping this is the last “I’m pregnant” check in I participate in!
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Feeling great just ready to meet this little one! I am scheduled to work Tuesday/Wednesday and then I am done regardless of when baby arrives! Exciting!!!!
What kind of appointment? Midwife Thursday at 39+5 unless baby shows up before then
How did it go?
Any feels/vents/etc?
Learn anything new?
Next appointment: next Thursday at 40+5, I really hope that one doesn’t happen but DD was born at 41+2 so who knows

How many weeks PP/How old is baby? 23 days
How are you feeling? Any concerns? I'm feeling great! Definitely on the other side of recovery.
How is baby in general doing? Baby is also doing great! I can tell he's gotten bigger! Can't wait to see his weight at his 1 month(!!!!) check in next Monday. Im pretty sure he may be over 8lbs at that point.
How is baby eating & sleeping? Eating & sleeping are going well so far. I usually get one 2.5-3 hour stretch each night, but he's on a good schedule, so I'll take what I can get. He's eating about 2.5 sometimes 3oz at feedings.
BF or FF? How is that going? FF. See above.
Milestones? Both baby and mom. I can drive again! Took a solo trip to Target while the kids napped this afternoon (my dad was watching them. I didn't abandon them. Lol). It was glorious.
I've been really cognizant of tummy time with DS. It was hard with DD in the beginning because she was so tiny. I wish I'd been better about it sooner with her. He's doing really well, and is lifting his head some. I noticed he's gaining better control of his muscles and is less of a floppy baby these days.

I am a new mom check-in:
How many weeks PP/How old is baby? 5 days
How are you feeling? Any concerns? Feeling great! Recovery seems to be going a lot faster this time around.
How is baby in general doing? Fantastic! Everything looked good at her follow up appointment on Friday.
How is baby eating & sleeping? She's been eating regularly, every 1-3 hours. She has periods of cluster feeding, but it's not too bad right now. At the moment sleep is going pretty well, she wakes to eat every 3-4 hours. So far so good.
BF or FF? How is that going? BF, and it's going really well. She latched right away at the hospital, which was amazing. Latch hasn't been perfect (possibly not opening her mouth wide enough), but we're working on it. It's getting to be less painful at least.
Milestones? Both baby and mom. Not much for baby yet. I wore my pre preg jeans to church on Sunday, so that was exciting.

I am STILL pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 40w 2d
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Done. done & done.
What kind of appointment? OB appointment yesterday
How did it go? Got checked & I'm 2-3 CM dilated which is common with STM's. Basically said I could go anytime
Any feels/vents/etc? Had a bunch of contractions the last two days, lost my mucus plug yesterday, had some leaking , thought that it was "time" like 10 times since Sunday. I'm just ready to roll. Got a lot of sleep last night which was good
Next appointment: NST today at the hospital (first one with this pregnancy) And if nothing happens ultrasound Friday And If nothing else happens induction Monday
FX this baby gets moving

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 36 +1
Any concerns? How are you feeling? tired, uncomfortable
What kind of appointment? NST, sono, MFM, GBS test and cervix check.
How did it go? surprisingly well. He passed the NST, but not without 2 lollipops, a nature valley bar and a gallon of ice water for 45 minutes. MFM hasn't moved up my RCS date so I still have a chance of a VBAC.
Next appointment: Thursday for another NST and sono.

I am pregnant check-in: How far along are you?
38+1 Any concerns? How are you feeling? BLAH. Still so over being pregnant. No concerns, just the last few weeks of pregnancy joys. What kind of appointment?
Regular check in. How did it go?
Ok. They don't do cervical checks until 39 weeks, but I've been experiencing new symptoms and wanted to see what was up, so they did one for me. Not even dilated yet Any feels/vents/etc? I dont know what I expected, I have no reason to really believe I'd be making any progress right now. It's just really bumming me out Learn anything new? Prodromal labor sucks! Next appointment:
Tuesday the 10th.

How far along are you? 14,4
Any concerns? How are you feeling? I'm just antsy and impatient. I want to feel all the things!
What kind of appointment? Nurse follow up for BP
How did it go? As well as it could have. BP was a smooth 116/65, which is actually really low for me, but I'm taking their lead on it. OB said they want me to be between 120-140/80-90 in general, so hopefully I can stick to that without much trouble. My home cuff measures 5/15 over and I take my BPs at night, so I think I'm doing pretty good so far. Still nervous about high BP though.
Any feels/vents/etc? Mostly done above. But I also have our first hospital tour scheduled for October 15th! It's my hospital of choice because it's local, but technically it's just a contracted hospital with my insurance and not actually part of the network...or something. I'd have to see what the facilities have different (the other hospital in-network is 30-45 minutes away, with decent traffic) and how much we'd look at spending at each, but I'd really end up here based on location alone. We'll see soon enough!
Learn anything new? Not really. The low BP was interesting, though.
Next appointment: Standard prenatal with the OB on October 16th

I am a new mom check-in:
How many weeks PP/How old is baby? 6 days
How are you feeling? Any concerns? TIRED. Otherwise pretty decent.
How is baby in general doing? Good. She had a weight check yesterday and isn't up to birthweight yet, but gained since hospital discharge. She is a lot more vocal than her brother and let's us know when she needs something!
How is baby eating & sleeping? Eating like a champ now that milk is flowing, sleep leaves much to be desired. She has her days and nights completely reversed... it is not great.
BF or FF? How is that going? BF going well so far.
Milestones? Both baby and mom. We made it through the first round of visitors... that's gotta be something!

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 39+2
Any concerns? How are you feeling? No concerns, feeling very uncomfortable.
What kind of appointment? Midwife
How did it go? Fine. Had my first cervical check and was only at 1cm, 50% effaced. They offered to do a membrane sweep, so we'll see if that gets anything going. Not holding my breath.
Next appointment: next Wednesday

I am a new mom check-in:
How many weeks PP/How old is baby? - 8 days
How are you feeling? Any concerns? - I'm feeling pretty good. I have my hormonal moments but they have been minimal thus far. I had a small tear which seems to be healing nicely and getting up to move around is getting easier every day.
How is baby in general doing? - He is doing great. Doesn't seem to mind big sis's loud volume level which I was concerned about. And he seems to fit in perfectly all around. No big struggles yet.
How is baby eating & sleeping? - Both are going great so far (*knocks on all the wood*)! He is nursing like a champ and sleeping great also. He seems so much easier in both of those senses compared to his big sis.
BF or FF? How is that going? - BF and it's going great so far. He latches good for the most part and doesnt struggle too much. 8 days in and feeling pretty good about it which is very different from DD so I'll take it.
Milestones? Both baby and mom. - Baby: Has smiled at me a couple of times. - Mom: Does having my belly button go back in count as a milestone? 😜

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 37w5d
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Not really concerns so much as I am just hoping baby stays inside for like 5 more days. I just want to get all these loose ends tied up at work and with the 2nd round of TB testing, so I can feel like I don't have a million things hanging over my head when the baby comes.
What kind of appointment? MFM weekly check up, ultrasound, cervix check, NST.
How did it go? NST was great! We passed it in 30 min and baby was nice and active. My cervix is still 2.5cm long, but the doctor said it was softening up...so I guess that's good? Baby is head down and in prime position too. I also found out I'm having contractions - just little ones. I don't notice them, maybe I'm a clueless pregnant?
Any feels/vents/etc? Not much - just kind of like...stay baby, stay inside for 5 more days. That would really be nice.
Learn anything new? I'm having contractions but I don't feel them. 🤷♀️
Next appointment: One week from today - unless baby decides he wants to show up before then. If this baby arrives on the same schedule as DS, he will come on the day of my next appointment. That would be cool with me 😀.

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 36w3d
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Feeling large ha. But also trying to savor the final weeks.
What kind of appointment? Regular OB check up, Group B Strep swab (fun!) and flu shot.
How did it go? Good--I refused a check and probably will next week too.
Any feels/vents/etc? Crazy that it's the final stretch--getting anxious about things that still need to be done at work and at home before baby.
Learn anything new? Head still down, belly measuring 36 weeks; heartbeat 145bpm.
Next appointment: October 12--u/s and checkup.

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 36+5
Any concerns? How are you feeling? No concerns... feeling super tired
What kind of appointment? Growth ultrasound and a OB appointment
How did it go? Went good. Sequel is about 7lbs and I got the gbs swab done and a cervix check
Any feels/vents/etc? Didn’t expect anything happening with my cervix and I was right. OB says he’s still a bit high so I probably won’t be going into labor soon
Learn anything new? He’s still high and nothing’s happening with my cervix (didn’t expect anything to be happening)
Next appointment: next Wednesday 10/11

mkrupar, I had forgotten about tummy time and that we start this early I guess we should try that sometime soon. How many weeks PP/How old is baby? 1 week today How are you feeling? Any concerns? Hemorrhoids suck. They've gotten worse since baby was born for whatever reason. How is baby in general doing? Good! Eating and growing, sleeping and keeping me from sleeping. How is baby eating & sleeping? Good, she is gaining weight as she should. Sleep isn't too bad, but she's doing the night time fussiness. From 8pm - 3am she is a handful, wanting lots of cuddles and to be held and to comfort nurse which is hard since it's only me at night right now, DH sleeping downstairs with DS while he's sick. We are still waking her to eat every 3 hours, forgot to ask the pediatrician if we need to keep doing that, probably so. BF or FF? How is that going? BF and it's going really well. We still mostly use a shield but I don't think she needs it. At some point soon I'll wean her off it. Milestones? Both baby and mom. Baby had a bunch of awake time today at the pediatricians office, she was alert and looking all around the whole time. When we got home she ate a snack and crashed for a couple of hours. I guess it was a lot of stimulation. For me, I put on non-maternity jeans today! They were tight and bulging in all the wrong places but I was determined not to go out in public in sweat pants.

I've been avoiding jeans because of c- section incision. I was at my PP weight before leaving the hospital (TBF I only gained about 20lbs, and have many more to lose in general), so I'm sure they'll fit, but no thank you to tight fitting pants right now.

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? Today I'm 38w 2d, appointment was yesterday.
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Tired and my inner thighs are sore.
What kind of appointment? Regular check, cervix check, hr check
How did it go? It went well. 80% effaced and baby's head is RIGHT there. Couldn't really get a number on the cervix.
Any feels/vents/etc? There is a baby shower I was invited to on the 14th. I really don't want to go. And I probably won't. I'll send her a gift but that's all I got.
Learn anything new? My dr. told me not to go into labor this weekend since he isn't working, but next weekend would be perfect!! OK doc! So here's to hoping for next weekend!
Next appointment: Next Wednesday.

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 38w 3d
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Still nervous about the blurry vision/tingling stuff. The day after my L&D visit I had more blurred vision and when I called the on-call midwife, she said to stay home and call her back if I have other symptoms since everything was fine from my visit the day before. I asked her what to do if the tingling happened again and she said that she doesn't think it is pregnancy related and that she'd recommend an MRI, so that's 2 midwives now that have said that. Luckily no tingling that time. I'm trying to not think about it until after baby is here but it's hard to forget about it.
What kind of appointment? Midwife 38w checkup
How did it go? Super quick and easy, as usual
Learn anything new? Midwife tried to get a better idea of how baby was positioned in my belly since I was looking lopsided and measuring a few weeks ahead in fundal height. She thinks baby was head down, with his back along my right side and his butt sticking out to the front-right.
Next appointment: A week from today, 39w 3d. They offer an optional cervical check for the 39w appointment to see how things are going, so I think I'll take them up on it. I had DS at 39w 2d, so should #2 decide to time things similarly to DS, I might not have another appointment! (Wishful thinking lol.)

How far along are you? 39+3
Any concerns? How are you feeling? No concerns this time. Feeling DONE
What kind of appointment? Regular OB
How did it go? It went well. He sounded good - his heart rate was back in the 140s.
Any feels/vents/etc? Feeling like the end is really near - I got an eviction date! 10/13
Learn anything new? I'm dilated a fingertip and thinned out 50%. We tacked on an NST to my appt next Thursday. But between Friday and today, both Drs have said it could be any day now.
Next appointment: 10/12

I am pregnant check-in:
How far along are you? 38+6
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Same old ones. Feeling good pregnancy wise, I'm incredibly sore from working still. I just need time to make that go away.
What kind of appointment? OB
How did it go? Good, I'm dilated to 2 cm and baby is hanging out at about -1.
Any feels/vents/etc? The OB who checked me today said she was on call this weekend and told me she hopes to see me this weekend. You and me both, lady.
Learn anything new? My body is doing it's thing. Slowly, but doing it.
Next appointment: unsure. About to get my flu shot and schedule that. *Friday, the 13th do do do doo doo
