Guise!! I hit my goals last week - all of them!!
I will continue with every other day at the gym and alternating arm/ab day with leg/glute day plus 30 mins of cardio.
I am focusing on low carb / high protein meals, more water less alcohol and increasing my running time vs my walking time for cardio.

RunsforWineandCarbs- congrats on hitting your goals! That’s awesome! Those lettuce wraps look delicious, I’m definitely adding these to the menu after we get back from Dallas.

yay RunsforWineandCarbs! I am officially lighter than pre-DD. I am so happy with how this Whole Life Challenge has been going. I really want to increase my yoga practice as my goal for this week. Every time I do yoga I love it but I need to get myself onto my mat which I have a really hard time doing!! Have you looked up keto recipes RunsforWineandCarbs? it might give you some low carb ideas

CestLaVie, have you done any workouts with Adriene on Youtube? I love her! I just got DH hooked on her workouts. He's training for a half right now and wanted to do some yoga for XT. I want to go through her Yoga Revolution again once I am a few weeks out of PP (next year); I'm already looking forward to it!

She is the only video I can watch that feels like an actual studio practice. I need to maybe commit to a series since right now I just browse her videos and pick one but it's not consistent.

You guys - I have lost 4 inches on my waist/hips since April. Not that much but still. Maybe I will see the difference with 4 more inches, you think?

How did everyone do last week?
I did pretty damn well. I lowered my carb intake full fold. I impressed myself. I cut out alcohol all week and even took it easy on it this weekend. I did have some pizza on Saturday and it was the best. lol
I just started getting back into my groove at the gym and now my H leaves tomorrow - which means gym only on the weekends. I will have to try to get a work out in after C goes down (which is always hard, I do better in the mornings).

Doing well here.. down 12.2lbs since the beginning of Sept. I hate that I am hungry so often but I'm just trying to ignore it. With the program I'm doing, you are really not allowed to snack so it feels like forever between meals. I like everything that I'm doing at the gym and I even find myself looking forward to running a bit on the treadmill. I am not a runner. I couldn't even make it a quarter mile jogging. But I've been pushing myself more and more on the treadmill and I think I'm finally finding the rhythm

that's awesome taketheshot! Keep up the hard work!! I don't know how you do no snacking - that's been getting me thru my days. But healthy snacking like almonds.

Happy Monday! Thanksgiving is over so I am back on the wagon!
I had a banana/egg/cacao nib mug thing for breakfast. It was alright!

I definitely got derailed last week— back on the healthy train for me too! I ran 3+ miles this morning and then had an almond butter-banana-kale smoothie bowl for breakfast. Been chugging water and green tea all morning and about to have a spicy tofu salad for lunch.

I have a new meal idea to share! My friend calls it a "harvest bowl." Quinoa with roasted chick peas and roasted sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Also throw in some kale and whatever to season it...sriracha, tahini or something like that. It is going on the list for next week. I did do 15 min of prenatal yoga yesterday so I am feeling pretty virtuous.

That does sound yummy easternshoregirl. I’ll need to remember that for next week! taketheshot, that’s all super impressive! I am also “not a runner”. How long do you think it took for you to start finding a rhythm and/or enjoying it? Anyone else have an answer to this? I do not enjoy running right now and I had a goal time then I’d be better about keeping at it. Like if I could tell myself, “i just need to keep running for 3 more months and then I might start to like it...”

I do not enjoy running right now and I had a goal time then I’d be better about keeping at it. Like if I could tell myself, “i just need to keep running for 3 more months and then I might start to like it...” Honestly I just wouldn't let myself quit. When I could maybe jog for 45 seconds, (not exaggerating), I wouldn't let myself stop until I hit 60 seconds .. or 90 seconds.. so it was gradual. Now I don't let myself stop until the song I'm listening to is over. I know that doesn't sound like much but for me to be able to comfortably jog for 4+ mins straight is a serious miracle . So, I guess my advice would be to make it gradual.. set an attainable goal in your head and just run with it (pun intended 😋)
